My only issue with you stopping early is you refer to yourself as defeated. All I see is strength. You listened to your body and your boundaries and stepped away and I respect you so much more for doing so. Thank you for setting an excellent example for all of us who watch you . I completely agree. When it becomes painful and unpleasant it's time to walk away. You can always come back to it later! I'm so impressed with what you were able to accomplish with such simple supplies. You really have such an impressive talent. I love watching you work. I hope to see you one day do the water horse from frozen 2! After watching your videos and learning I think I'm going to challenge myself to do the waterhorse myself since I've been wanting to see it done :) :) I'm still very much learning but I've learned so much from your videos I'm excited to take on the challenge

first of all: i love this german/english mix you use when you talk to your dog 😃 and you did great on the drawing, i'm honestly impressed how much you got done before you decided to stop. crappy pencils are a pain to use even if you don't have messed up joints... so both thumbs up from me 👍🏻👍🏻
I have a little sister who LOVES dinosaurs and we watch your videos together as she loves creating her own art. Could you be do another one of those videos but with your own drawing on better paper with professional tools? I’d love to see what you come up with
I can't believe he still doesn't have at least 1 mil. Subs I mean has such high quality videos with many cool information and so much creativity Amazing video again!
The hat is very Marty McFly. Thanks for the tips and tricks. Your videos, tips and tricks keep me pushing forward with my art and not be so “scared of the blank page”.
I am amazed that you were able to get that out of those pencils and paper. It LITERALLY hurts having to keep pressure to blend on sucky paper great job!
These pencils looked absolutely painful to use. I don’t blame you for quitting on this one, those pencils looked like they were among the worst quality in terms of pigment. Hell I think Crayola could’ve produced far better results, which really goes to show how cruddy these pencils were, and how great of a job you did despite the use of inferior pencils supplied by the coloring book. In my book this is an absolute win in terms of your results and not a loss.
@@damonmart6627 I agree. You can get the 100 set of Crayola pencils and the Crayola Colors of the World skin tone pencils for $17. That's hard to beat.
The fact he was so happy about the vulcano lighting up is so funny !! He showed more happiness in those few seconds than when he drew the dinosaur XD You are so funny! I love watching your videos!
Man that’s really good 😂. Hope your hands make a quick recovery off that one. But I’m sure some Kiba smooches will heal them right up. And I dunno maybe Bob has magical healing powers XD
Hand cramps with cheap supplies is REAL. I found the same with a recent project. After using nice supplies a lot more, I thought I had just improved my technique, until I recently went back to a really cheap set and got instant cramps from the extra pressure. And wow- you did an amazing job with these cheap pencils! I love your approach of using details and texture to create interest. An inspiration as always!
Yay! Glad to see you back. I can finally show this to my son who has been nagging me every week since you did Thor whether you had done any more vids 😁👍
The fact that those small arms were most likely the skeleton to large wings amazes my mind. This dinosaur was most likely the original dragon without elements of fire or ice. 🙃 pretty cool! Nice drawing! Always love your work! Keep it up
@@_thomaswaldron most likely ☺️ dinos are a guessing game for us with the bones we find. However, comparing the arm bones to that of a modern day ostrich or large land bird correlates to what we see with on the trex. Scientists are certain the trex had wings but whether they were big enough or strong enough to fly is up for debate.
You doing this series gives me so much validation, I am constantly told I'm being childish for colouring in because im 21 I have adult colouring books but sometimes they stress me out cause I'll think too much into making it look perfect so when I get like that I grab a "children's" colouring book instead and I'll experiment and practice in them and it's just so calming. Also very reassuring to see that even a pro like yourself gave up, I fully agree if it's not fun there's no point. You could cut Timmy out and stick him on a cool background?
My mind translated your description of the pencils and paper so well that my hand physically hurt watching you colour. You deserve my utmost respect for making it so far on the picture!! I see absolutely no failures on your part. I'm slowly learning that sometimes it's okay not to finish something or be okay with it not being perfect and it's friggin' hard work.
Hello, I was more than happy to see a golden retriever that was so gentle and pretty. I think boys in particular will want to have the tools introduced in this video. I had a good time. Always be healthy and happy.
THANK YOU. As an artist this is important to hear, everyone says that failure is a negative, instead of concentrating on the positive of what you're walking away with - a new experience, some more knowledge, and your mental health intact! It needs to be said more, so thank you, thank you, thank you.
ADC, I really like what you did here. You said "I add details wherever I can", as it would be a bad thing. It isn´t. It requires Knowledge of your Object you are drawing or at least make the right connection to quite similar looking stuff. Since dinosaurs are not longer around. Wrinkles, scars, muscles showing under the skin where it would be looking legit. Light and Shadow that comes with it. And all that with the limited color palette and the quality standard of the material. Sir, THAT coloring book just defeated your body but not you as an Artist. No need to be embarrassed or disappointed. And Props also to your good Boy Kiba. Nice that he got the chance to say hello.
Love the challenge you made for yourself, you took it head on and you made really good progress with it, you worked through the pain and even if you didnt finish the back, you still did a good job 👏 and i like the new hat 😄
Love your dog. Also love what your doing with coloring books. I think it advances kids from about eight or nine and tightens them up. This shows at twelve thirteen and so how much you can advance with this. Adding background and flares. Love it. Keep going. Without art in my life no telling where I would have ended up. I was lucky that I had parents that supported my drawing painting.
When paper is smooth you can always add gesso to give it the tooth you need! I go over my kids colouring books with clear gesso so that it helps them colour and stops any colour bleeding through the page as a lot of books have pictures on each page. Maybe you could try this with the colouring book?
I used to love to draw every day from dbz to attack on titan and it came to a point that I was drawing just to fill one day of drawing. So I just stopped to draw anything for an year and when I came back I was just so happy to draw again and was having fun rather than filling a day.
Damn that dinosaur was incredible. Despite the fact that the paper had no tooth and the pencils were hard with very little pigment. My hat goes off to you.
