I was born in Kennington and lived in the flats opposite the park on Kennington park road.. not been back since the late 1970’s, There used to be a maize in the flower garden, I’m sure it was just a rose garden, used to go swimming in the outdoor Pool which I’m sure is long gone. Enjoyed this, thank you.
Hello Angela Lovely walk through Kensington. I like the insert of pictures. Sandra and I have been to Kensington, to the Beefeater museum attached to the factory. Very interesting. Though I am not a gin drinker. Thanks for walk. Take care Chris and Sandra of Canada.
Thank you Chris and Sandra:) If I had the time, it would be nice next time to go around the distillery; same here, not much of a gin drinker and these days there seem to be distilleries popping up everywhere. All the best, Angela
Used to walk through the St Marks church grounds every Saturday with my mum to go shopping in Brixton road and market .. a fair old walk but thought nothing of it
Oh Angela, another Chatty Walk from you! Mum and I are back in the UK now as of March 14th. We've already been away up in Birmingham for no less than 3 different events on at the NEC all on at the same time. Back in Canterbury now after 5 nights in Birmingham but off to Excel tomorrow for Everything Electric London. Will be parking at O2 in North Greenwich and taking the cable car across the water. Memories of your two videos of the area come to mind. Then on Saturday off to London Olympia for the Ideal Home Show. Anyhow, greatly looking forward to watching your latest video, likely during lunch in front of the tv. We are also catching up on videos from another certain "Walker that's Watched". Note the two upper case "W's"! Hope all is well with you. Interesting to see a Cleaver Street mentioned. Reminds me of Daniel Cleaver in Bridget Jones's Diary. Maybe you get to meet Hugh Grant after all...and Colin Firth of course. 😊
So, how is it to be back and did you enjoy Canada? Sounds like you are as busy as ever. Hope the cable car isn't too crowded for you! And Hugh Grant and Colin Firth will just have to join the queue to meet me along with everyone else :)
