YESSS!!! They're pushing more into horror with this update but the flashlight makes everything so bright that it just removes the creepy vibes of the interiors of the tower. It needs to be smaller, less bright, and has inertia.
Technically it is the biggest update because it has the most content in it. Yes fixes are part of it but Tower raid is huge with many levels and more levels will be added next week with more rewards. Also the roadmap had only few big things in it, guns, tower raids and modding support. guns and tower raids are here but the modding support will be even bigger than this and it might come sooner than we think because dataminer have found traces of the modding support. A menu that allows them to rearrange mods. So my friend don't be surprised if you see another Biggest update ever title lol have a nice day :)
I disagree because it shows a lack of leadership within the dev team and a lack of clear design direction. They rely on the "community" to give them ideas which they should be able to come up with themselves; it is literally their job to design features and gameplay, not ours. This obsession with game modes that can be played forever, over and over again as "endgame content" shows complete creative bankruptcy in the industry. Where is the innovation?

They need to add where the player can get dying light points of 10-20 on tower raids, probably like a very rare spawns of wandering bolter or a chest that is hidden somewhere around the corner. Helldivers 2 has been doing that and their community is pretty cool with it.
You know they won't do that because that will bring them loss. But honestly we need some sort of online mode with missions that give us some dying light points.
Even sans tower raid there are so many bugs now. There are a ton of objects clipping and locations are being discovered every time I go to locations I’ve already been to. Mini map says I haven’t done water towers yet they’ve been completed. Not to mention the gritty filter still remains unpatched for some reason. Rain still falls inside locations in the city, multiple outfits clip into Aiden’s skin, and some challenges still can’t be marked on the map and so remain permanent question marks. They really need to clean up their game.
I think DL2 is good where content is concerned. They should focus one or two updates on patching all these new mechanics and filters for the health of the game.
I would love to see in the game where the enemy can take out the player's weapon from their grip due to a strong hit, especially if they ran out of stamina, the item return either if they picked it up again during the mission or will return in the equipment after the mission.
This update only managed to screw up my game, every discoverable location got hidden again and it resets everytime i discover it. I discovered pk floating fortress 6 times now 😤

Still keep getting stuck up on top of infected heads while they pummel the shit outta me. The only way down is to grapple. Got stuck a few times on nothing. Newfound lands now says it's bandit territory. I had 39 challenges listed and completed. Now, it only shows 4. Map showed countless ?, "undiscovered locations" all over it, then they all disappeared, and so did all the gre anomalies markers. As for the Tower raids, it is what it is. The only thing that threw me off was, "Wait for crate to open," which is obvious by the timer. It should say "defend the crate." Agree on unbalanced health, I've one-shot verious infected and other times it's several hits. Also died to some mysterious explosion or damaged by some infected that randomly sponed outta nowhere after clearing the whole floor.
Did the Tower Raid introduction quest, got the airdrop on rooftop and got bugged on escaping the tower. Then, I did an actual run today, and got Risk Modifiers of not to stay too long on a floor and -0.8% damage for each zombies killed. My luck is surely beyond the roof now. The best thing I know about the mode is it is possible to speedrun it but there is also some kind of obstacle to slow down your pace. For now it feels good but the rooftop is kinda fine? It is just not what I was expecting for a final fight. Else than that, the performance improvement is wonderful, smooth like a butter now with +10 - 20 FPS
Once its fully released, i hope theres some sort of big progression they can add updates to, sorta like hellraid from dl1. Itd be nice to get a buncha cool outfits, weapons, armor, n all that. One last thing, i wonder if theyll add different towers eith varying difficulties to the raid menu, would be cool when it releases
This is just stupid. Hear me. Why in the world will you limit a open world game into a tight place like a tower ? This is just lazy work. This game is dead. In first game the DLCs was open, even making a new map with cars and stuff. What went wrong here, the devs got rich and lazy AF ?

I am glad they finally fixed the amount of scraps you can find now. It's supposed to be a common item but crafting requires this part so much that you easily and constantly run out of it which is annoying. I also liked that they increased the amount of infected trophies you get from a single infected. It never made sense to me why they didn't do this much sooner. It was annoying to get uncommon trophies since that's the one that you need the most. Techland tried to compensate for this by increasing the viral spawn rate which might be the stupidest band aid fix they tried yet that made the game a chore to play. Idk why it took over 2 years for them to fix these problems. It feels like the game was in a beta up until this point. Tbh it kinda still is because of the lack of promised features and overall how unpolished the game still feels to play.
Good to see they’re adding QoL stuff for coop. Now we just need some match making for things like survivor missions/tower raid stuff. Using discord and steam or whatever OS you’re on is a huge pain in the arse and most players aren’t even using that. It’s would be way easier to just queue up and have other players join in, especially if cross play will happen in the future, it’s pretty much required. It could literally work the same as call for help yknow? Like when you open up the mission board you can search for match/mission or choose the host one and wait for someone to join.
Hello. Anyone had after this patch problem about map destinations? I got almost removed all and I have to discover then again... And they are dissapearing again. Additionally, after go to equipment menu I got communicate something like that "DLC in not detected, install dlc after that rejoin game". I am afraid I lost my items. I sent message to Techland support, but I just wanna ask if somebody had this problem too.
OK, I'm getting real concerned about the second DLC. Tower raid was supposed to be the big thing before the DLC dropped. Now, it appears controversial. Anyways, Ali made a video on the DLC leaks. I really think he should look at the 200 pages of content cut from the game. Most fans don't even know about them, I expect severe mental breakdowns when they find out what was removed from the game
And now i can say its officially sucks... Techland make disappointment after disappointment. They said that "we need more time to make players happy and satisfied with the gameplay of tower raid" That's what Timon Smektala told us in the end. that we got the survivor missions re-skinning, adding modifiers (which isn't that hard to do). And instead of an interesting passage just filled each room with a million zombies because of which on the second time of this raid in the room emergency runs out of oxygen. You're suffocating. It's not difficult, it's suffocating. And at the end of the raid you defend the airdrop for 5 minutes. kool. Fucking fun. And the reward is 400 scrap and 40 resources like cloth/blades/etc. Weapons are kind of randy. And the "it's a beta" argument doesn't work. Because we only 2 times in our lives have had the opportunity to see how the game changes fundamentally after the beta. And it's not about dying light. All that can change by release is a little bit of layouts and tasks. But the foundation has already been made, and this foundation is a reskin of Harper's missions. They'll give new awards.... The rewards are a reskin of a shotgun with incendiary bullets. Weak on damage melee weapons on Jais shop. and in the future we will add skins peacekeeper, which you could do through mods for a year with something. "UNIQUE two-handed peacekeeper hammer with twitch drops." If this raid they called something very excited for people to see. What awaits us in the dlc.... Not Hate, but Tower Raid is sucks.
My main personal issue with the game is that I lost all excitement for it. I won't be trying this update, just wanted to see what was going on so I'm watching this video. I couldn't wait for the release of this game back then as to this day I adore Dying Light 1, however, Dying Light 2 was and still is a great disappointment and a downgrade from its predecessor.
Love that techland updates their game frequently but they NEED to get rid of the howlers during the day and the spitting virals. You can’t run more than 10 metres without triggering a howler it makes exploring much more tedious and annoying or at least make them a feature on nightmare difficulty only.

For the first time i can say that this is a really good update the best this game had so far even the guns weren't as great and even that Christmas event update which i said was good was not as good as this its better than the whole survivor missions the most effort they put into this more than this survivor missions which is in the end was worth it I don't think techland ever put so much effort into something in dying light 2 as much as this tower raids update.
I won't be too harsh on tower raids because it's the beta version but I'm seriously hoping Techland improve it. We need something Replayable that's good until DLC 2.

What I love most about this update is the new level 5 chase music. It brings such a cool vibe and it makes you want to try and last longer.
I agree.. But even after hearing it I still prefer the new level 4 chase Music it makes the movement and running or even combat feel more fun to me.

It was only 6GB for me yesterday on the ps5..
Tower raid is such a let down. I’m sorrry but if anyone actually thinks it’s good is blind. It’s rushed and Looks terrible. Beta or not it should have already been released and clearly if it’s in the current state then techland are falling off. I have no hope for dlc2
They really need to fix the server issues before they release this lol like I would love to play the co-op but it’s fucking buggy and it just pulls you out of the immersion

At this point I couldn’t care about any of this I’ll keep this game in the library until they drop that damn dlc2 hell even after that that’ll be it cuz beside story mode this game has no replay ability challenges are about as hard as they get just pop uv flares and boosters and have electricity mod or fire and boom nothing can kill you and all these new weapons don’t even feel any different cool new look that’s it since the weapons pretty much do the same thing as a normal legendary weapon not speaking for everyone but is this what we really wanted out of dl2 I mean yeah we play it cuz techland made it and it’s a sequel to really good game but other than that this game is a glorified zombie rpg that doesn’t even know what it wants to be zombie survival or mindless dungeon crawls of swinging a basic ass looking weapons at weak zombies this game just isn’t good imo repetitive and not in a good way everything is just the same every damn time no matter how many challenges and modes they add that aren’t a pvp

Love the tower raid so far, I know it's in beta, but hopefully they will add some new ideas for each floor

I dont know what im doing wrong but there should be 15 floors and Each time i play there is no more then 5 floors which Im playing on before,reaching the final one which is air drop
why i cannot increase my fov to see my arms like your character in the gameplay parts of the video . i have all fov settings at max but my character is still doesnt show that much of his hands and weapon like in your video ???
Yes, everything is fine, but the main problem with Dying Light 2 for me remains that the graphics still look cartoonish
tower raid is trash it deleted all my progress i sent tech land a email i am waiting to here back i can rollback save but will lose 15 hours.If i don't here back from tech land i gonna try to get a refund fck them.

Installed it, played it for 3 mins, remembered why the game is garbage, unistalled it. Dlc 2 is the only thing that has potential

For the first time i can say that this is a really good update the best this game had so far even the guns weren't as great and even that Christmas event update which i said was good was not as good as this its better than the whole survivor missions the most effort they put into this more than this survivor missions which is in the end was worth it I don't think techland ever put so much effort into something in dying light 2 as much as this tower raids update.
definitely need more updates like these
Techland is the only dev Team I like out there that care about their game and improving it unlike Activision blizzard
