    Best known as the mother of playwright Brendan Behan, and singer, song writer Dominic Behan, Kathleen Behan (née Kearney) came from a family rich in song, and the traditions of Dublin. She lived through the Easter Rising of 1916 and carried with her a vibrant spirit which she passed on to her children.
    The premiere of 'Kathleen Behan: Rebel at Heart' took place on Wednesday 21 April 2021 at 8 pm (Irish time).
    Dublin singer and instrumentalist Daoirí Farrell has recorded three albums and toured extensively in Ireland and internationally. Winner of two BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards in 2017, he also received three nominations in the 2019 RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Awards.
    Drawing from the Well is a monthly series connecting artists with archival material to inspire new art. It is supported by Bank Of Ireland Begin Together Arts Fund in partnership with Business to Arts.

    I first heard Daoiri on the late Brian O' Donovan's show a Celtic Sojourn in Boston. As soon as I heard Daoiri I knew his voice and playing were special. Thanks Daoiri for sharing, and thanks to Brian (RIP) for tuning my ear to great Celtic music.

    Thanks a million for an interesting interview.
    Daoiri, you've a fantastic voice, and the sound quality of that bouzouki is excellent.
    The future of IrishTrad music is in safe hands, with singers/musicians of your calibre at the helm, that's for sure.
