  • Chant along (or listen) to the peerless Heart Sutra in sacred Sanskrit, the Prajñāpāramitāhṛdaya, followed by the most perfect mantra 'gate gate paragate parasamghate bodhi svaha'. Chant or listen Daily for Wisdom, Compassion, Blessings. (OUR 600th VIDEO: Hard subbed for chant along).
    According to Lama Zopa Rinpoche, based on the Vinaya text Treasure of Quotations and Logic, “karmic results are multiplied one hundred million times.” (For example Saga Dawa Duchen, this year May 23, 2024).

    Oṁ! Namo Bhagavatyai Ārya-Prajñā pāramitāyai!
    Hail! Reverence to the Fortunate and Noble Perfection of Wisdom
    Heart Sutra
    Ārya-Avalokiteśvaro Bodhisattvo,
    The Noble Buddha-to-be Avalokiteśvara,
    gambhī rāṁ prajñā pāramitā caryāṁ caramāṇo,
    while dwelling deep in the practice of the perfection of wisdom,
    vyavalokayati sma panca-skandhā
    beheld these five constituent groups (of mind and body)
    tāṁś ca svabhā vaśūnyān paśyati sma.
    and saw them empty of self-nature.
    Iha, Śāriputra, rūpaṁ śūnyatā, śūnyata iva rūpaṁ;
    Here, Śāriputra, form is emptiness, emptiness is surely form;
    rūpān na pṛthak śūnyatā, śunyatāyā na pṛthag rūpaṁ;
    emptiness is not different from form, form is not different from emptiness;
    yad rūpaṁ, sā śūnyatā; ya śūnyatā, tad rūpaṁ;
    whatever form there is, that is emptiness; whatever emptiness there is, that is form.
    Evam eva vedanā-saṁjñā-saṁskāra-vijñā nāni
    the same for feelings, perceptions, volitional processes and consciousness.
    Iha, Śāriputra, sarva-dharmāḥ śūnyatā-lakṣaṇā,
    Here, Śāriputra, all things have the characteristic of emptiness,
    anut pannā, ani ruddhā; amalā, na vimalā; nūnā, na paripūrṇāḥ.
    no arising, no ceasing; no purity, no impurity; no deficiency, no completeness.
    Tasmāc Śāriputra, śūnyatā yāṁ
    Therefore, Śāriputra, in emptiness
    na rūpaṁ, na vedanā, na saṁjñā, na saṁskārāḥ, na vijñānami;
    there is no form, no feeling, no perception, no volitional processes, no consciousness;
    na cakṣuḥ-śrotra-ghrāna-jihvā-kāya-manāṁsi;
    there are no eye, ear, nose, tongue, body or mind;
    na rūpa-śabda-gandha-rasa-spraṣ ṭavya-dharmāḥ;
    no forms, sounds, smells, tastes, touches, thoughts;
    na cakṣūr-dhātur yāvan na mano vijñāna-dhātuḥ;
    no eye-element (and so on) up to no mind-consciousness element;
    na vidya, na avidyā, na avidyā-kṣayo, na avidyā-kṣayo, yāvan na jarā-maraṇam, na jarā-maraṇa-kṣayo;
    no ignorance, no destruction of ignorance (and so on) up to no old age and death, no destruction of old age and death;
    na duḥkha-samudaya-nirodha-mārgā;
    no suffering, arising, cessation, path;
    na jñānam, na prāptir aprāptivena.
    no knowledge, no attainment, no non-attainment.
    Bodhisattvasya
    Therefore, Śāriputra, because of the Buddha-to-be’s non-attainments
    Prajñā pāramitām āśritya, viharaty acittā varaṇaḥ,
    he relies on the Perfection of Wisdom, and dwells with his mind unobstructed,
    cittā varaṇa-nāstitvād atrasto,
    having an unobstructed mind he does not tremble,
    viparyāsa-atikrānto, niṣṭhā-Nirvāṇa.
    overcoming opposition, he attains the state of Nirvāṇa.
    Tryadhva-vyava sthitāḥ sarva-Buddhāḥ
    All the Buddhas abiding in the three times
    Prajñā pāramitām āśritya
    through relying on the Perfection of Wisdom
    anuttarāṁ Samyak sam bodhim abhisam buddhāḥ.
    fully awaken to the unsurpassed Perfect and Complete Awakening.
    Tasmāj jñāta vyo Prajñā pāramitā mahā-mantro,
    Therefore one should know the Perfection of Wisdom is a great mantra,
    mahā-vidyā mantro, ‘nuttara-mantro, samasama-mantraḥ,
    a great scientific mantra, an unsurpassed mantra, an unmatched mantra,
    sarva duḥkha praśa manaḥ, satyam, amithyatvāt.
    the subduer of all suffering, the truth, not falsehood.
    Prajñā pāramitā yām ukto mantraḥ tad-yathā:
    In the Perfection of Wisdom the mantra has been uttered in this way:
    gate, gate, pāragate, pārasaṁgate, Bodhi, svāhā!
    gone, gone, gone beyond, gone completely beyond, Awakening, blessings!

      Thank you for your kind request for "Mind Jewel" Tara Chittamani. We may in future, although it would be introductory, as Chittamani Tara is a Highest Yoga Tantra with inner body mandala practice, so it requires teaching, empowerment. This is still Green Tara, so the mantra is the same. It is the meditation and profound body mandala are a special meditation. We do, by the way, have a detailed written feature introducing Chittamani here on our main website: buddhaweekly.com/?p=9724

    Can you please post yamantaka mantra in english ?

    • @BuddhaWeekly
      @BuddhaWeekly  22 дня назад

      Hi thank you for asking. Not sure what mantra. There are different lineage mantras for Yamantaka, and some are Highest Yoga Tantra (which actually has three mantras, long, activity and heart mantra). But none of them would translate usefully to English. Let us know what you're looking for? 🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏

      Although Yamantaka is the "opponent" of death, it is a practice that requires two major empowerments and the transmission of teachings for there to be benefit. (If you or your relative have these, then it's certainly a great practice.) It is best, for most of us to rely on the Activity or supplication mantras of the 21 Taras. Tara is the "activity of all the Buddhas" and the 21 Taras specifically are very precise supplications, each focused in a different area. When, for example, we are supplicating for long life of our teachers, our precious Gurus, we do White Tara practice, sometimes White Tara together with Ushnisha Vijaya and Amitayus (the three long-life deities.) But Tara in particular is the Buddha of Activity, and she represents also the "wind element" which is Chi or Lifeforce or Prana in the body. So, when someone is struggling with health, or we're trying to reinforce their long life we normally do White Tara Practice as the main practice (very powerful.) When you're opposing Yama, generally you look to pacifying activities (the White deities.) Black deities are wrathful and fierce, if there's a special need for that type of activity (Black Manjushri, for example, for agressive illness like cancer) or Black Tara to turn away evil, curses, etc. but the White Taras (there are six of them in the 21 Taras) are about making reinforcing, stengthening and pacifying so that such negativity cannot take hold.
      Not knowing more, and based on what we often recommend for our Gurus well-being, you might first go to Sita Tara (Supreme White Tara) as a supporting, reinforcing activity (Of course, seek advice of your spiritual and health care advisors) . We have her mantra beautifully chanted here: ruclips.net/video/KNEFX3Vv7Zk/видео.html&t
      We have all six of the White Taras as a playlist as well (these are the six White Taras that pacify evil, illness, short life, negative karma, and many other things): ruclips.net/p/PL8d71VyWOwkET55BMOrJ7160xmfEA-uKn
      If the issue is health related, it is also beneficial to chant and listen to Medicine Buddha's great Dharani and his mantras: Dharani here: ruclips.net/video/brDYLHKljWM/видео.html&t
      Mantra here: ruclips.net/video/Gb2J6MXiZzc/видео.html
      Of course, always seek advice of your own teachers and health teams.
      Hope this helps. In kindness, BW 🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
