Sorting out which standalone (block & parts) Fant mods are also part of "Fant Mod" (custom game mode) is a total nightmare of confusion. Duplicated items, things added or removed all the time. It is no surprise that the Fant himself forgot to update a UUID or whatever and broke it when added the chemical engine. This is why I will wait a good long time before trying Skylander. I don't look forward to figuring out which 37-some-odd B&P mods I need to leave behind in order to port my blueprints over.
@@pixelsort every mod he made has the info in the first line of the mod description if the parts are from fant mod or not.
its realy no problem to know that strait up, if that is a problem for you, you should not use any mods if you are not able to read the mod descriptions.
No parts or items get removed from him, he allways adds stuff. for real. not a single time he removed a part.
Also its unimportent in case of sky mechanic because there are not parts added.
I asked him what the bug was, and it was because he added a few days ago a smaller version of the chemical lift engine and the code was not adjusted for the standalone mod. He fixed it in less then 5min. Show me a other modder that does improve or fix things in his/her mods so quickly and allways in the way the players ask for.
Get your infos right.. and stop hating for no reason. what you said is just a you problem.
IIRC the Fant mod has an autocrafter that lets you craft and uncraft stuff automatically and you can put in a specific amount of items to craft, i.e. if you punch in "50", it will craft you 50 bearings or whatever you order OR it will uncraft 50 bearings from your storage, if you press the uncraft button.
Also there's a nice flying machine design with 2 propellers from Linusdoesgames if you care
I think Chapter 2 just needs a "Creation Condenser" chest. When you want to save something as a blueprint it will give you the warning "You need a Creation Condenser in your inventory!" and just not let you do this. When you do have one though, it takes the Creation Condenser chest out of your inventory and puts it on the lift and deletes the creation. You can then carry it (like you would with a normal chests with stuff inside of it) or interact with it. But when you interact with it, instead of it opening an inventory, it "deploys" the vehicle and returns to you the Creation Condenser chest item.
This way you don't have to worry about a vehicle taking up inventory space BUT you also can't say, create 20 different creations to just cheese the game and have infinite more storage slots. You can't put a Creation "Condensed" chest (as in, one already holding a creation inside of it) in your inventory, you HAVE to physically carry it or attach it to a second vehicle.
I was thinking the same, except I thought @00FantMod, or someone similarly amazing (?), could use a variation his "Handbags" (Is it satchels? backpacks? Idk) mod for this. If you save the contraption parts into a dedicated backpack that would be perfect. Never tried it personally, because it came with a warning of putting backpacks into backpacks crashing your game or something. Something I would probably accidentally do probably all of the time.
What happens to items in chests? Couldn’t it be used for infinite storage that you just have to expand to use? Couldn’t you can carry infinite chests, craftbots, etc. on your back or a small car? It’s a good idea, and probably could work, and maybe having to expand it to use it is balance enough, but it may need some extra balance/limits.
@@Ekipsogel When you have a chest with inventory in it, you cannot put it in your inventory. You instead carry if over your shoulder like a craftbot. You can't do anything else other than walk around till you place it down. And you can only have one thing over your shoulder at a time.
Yes, you can have storage ON a vehicle. . . but that's not the same thing as using a vehicle slot AS a storage slot. Thats more akin to a mobile base rather than an expanded inventory at that point. Nomad style. And _even then_ you wouldn't be able to tug it around with you because you can't do anything useful while having something on your shoulder. Meaning you either already need a vehicle to carry it around with you, or you are just non-functional.
@@Hadeks_Marow what I was saying is that you can put 50 chests on a lift, compact them, and carry all 50 on your shoulder at once, or compact and put 10 craftbots on a car for a fraction of the weight and gas cost (although gas is free if you find an oil pond). And by “expand” I meant use the one compactor to compress 50 chests and “expand” it by spawning them back in.
@@Ekipsogel Once again, carrying it on your shoulder is impractical. It means you can't use seats or tools nor defend yourself if you are attacked. That's why it's more akin to a mobile base.

I personally think you should keep those mods.
I disagree, I feel like it takes away all the problem solving of the original mod. Now that he has a flyer this has turned into a normal survival mod with sky islands. Without the flyer, you have to manage limited resources, figure out how to get to islands with those limited resources. Gambling with free falls into bot infested islands. Like eventually he could build spud gun launchers to launch him between islands, or other creative solutions like hinge lifts. The whole point of skyblock is the grind and problem solving. Now he can just fly around and get anything he wants, boring.
@@nessa6859 the original mod was meant to be played with this mods, this is the intended gameplay.
@@ledocteur7701 that's not how it was introduced to me, and now I like the original concept. It feels more rewarding instead of just flying around everywhere.
@@nessa6859 the fant mod is a balanced mod, plus the creator, fant made those mods and the custom gamemode, he made them balanced together.
@@RealTheScienceCat Scrapman introduced the mod without them, I understand they're "suppose" to be used together. But personally I think it takes away from the original challenge.
Watching some one set an outrageous goal/challenge. Then through grit, and determination they succeed is entertaining. I personally see no challenge in the sky islands with the flyer, no challenge = not as entertaining.
You could still build a platform above the traders outpost to store everything up there, but just don't move everything up there. Instead any new resources are stored there and you can go down and get any that you need from the bottom to craft.
This could also be a cool thing to expand into a base of sorts where you could make it look cool and incorporate it into the traders house. This could also be a platform where your flying vehicle lands to drop off items faster, as you could land in a safe space where you have little travel to store things.
Later on you could also put chests on the flyer and chests as storage and have them connect when dropping off, letting all the items transfer from the flyer to the base storage whilst you do other things like tend to crops.
So you can use the gyros to actually power the propellers for a fuel free vehicle. They are more powerful than you may expect beating out even a controller for strength. If your vehicle falls with you though you will lose all of it at least that is what happened to me so careful to land properly. Grab yourself 4 1x1 gyros with 4 props 2 left 2 right and you should have a respectable quad copter when paired with the 2 gyros you already made and no worries about running out of fuel and falling from the sky. Chemical lift is also really good once it is working for a more stable air balloon style ride and chemicals are fairly abundant so easy enough to keep topped off. Using gyros to power your forward propellers again a cheap flyer. Last the Props get stronger when stacked so if you feel a lack of power add another of the same prop right on top of the current one and you will get a nice boost in strength.

I got a tip with flying vehicles that'll save you from losing your vehicle.
The seat converter has a "when seated" option. (Looks like a guy sitting) Get into the habbit of running your controls through that to prevent the vehicle from flying off without you.
It took me far too long and many many run away blimps to learn this.
It might be a good thing the chemical balloon thing was bugged because you at one point had it cranked and hit the button and if it was working it would've shot into the air like a rocket and stayed there without you.
Here's a tip for you: you don't need to put more than one level (tick) of power on the engine for propellers bc one level is enough to rotate them at about max speed, this'll save some fuel ig
you sayin a lvl 1 engine could hypothetically be enough (technically a few, bcz of the max connection limit) to run a whole Airbus A380 in scrap mechanic 🤔😅🙂
@@TahaShakir2 i did some flying vehicles with fant mod propellers, and to fly on a not-so-big drone one tick of engine power was enough to fly on very fast speeds with low fuel consumption for long time (with 4 propellers on one engine), idk about big vehicles bc i didn't do them, but it might work
For your storage problem, you could also put your stuff on palettes. That way you can move them around and everything without the component kit cost of an actual chest.

The rotors are massive, they are used to build helicopers. The propellers are ment to be used as a method of propultion.
im half way through rewatching the hank tank survival series its so fun how the channel has evolved but the survival feeling is still the same!
4:57 Maybe a custom item, like "blueprint crate" which blocks out enough spaces in your inventory to store all the items of your currently picked up blueprints? With a setting to let you toggle between requiring the crate to store all the blocks needed to deploy ALL currently picked up blueprints, or allow hem to share resources, to save space if you just want to be able to deploy any one of them at a time?

The simple controller in Fants logic mod would be good for your drill, it’s like the hold position checkbox in trailmakers.
Also, the fant automatic/mobile farmbox would be good for late game.

4:44 they just need to make it so you can make storage cores, these would be the blue prints but would be an object you could place down, make it so these new block would be able to be activated when placed, this would fix the problem, but I do understand that people would use that to make it so they have a huge inventory, I propose a data limit, every 5 blocks would be 1 data used, you could upgrade it to save bigger builds and move them, components like refineries would take 3-5 data slots per component, of course this would need some balancing, I think the basic one would have around 50 data slots, with more advanced ones being 200 and 1000 data slots

Hey @Scrapman, you should bridge with bubble block, since it takes 5 oil to make 10 (assuming it's unchanged) and oil respawns, especially with how quickly it respawns. Wood, stone, metal, etc are not renewable. But oil is renewable!
Wood and metal are renewable through crops, making the wood into cardboard doubles your output, you can also stack 1 piece of water in a giant line and build bridges with that only issue is connection points but a couple pieces of wood every 10 water eliminates that issue. Using the blueprint save and build function you can mass produce bridge pieces or walls out of cheap materials.
You can connect vacuum pump to this water nodes tp extract water automatically

The only change I would make is make the emoty chest need to be part of the creation instead of in your inventory. When you activate it, it saves the blueprint and takes the blocks/parts into its inventory. Then make the rest behave the same as you described.

I'm not sure it's 100%, but totebots actually have a much higher chance of dropping their heads than it first appears (vanilla). The heads can shoot off an incredible distance from where they were killed, appearing halfway across a lake from a farm where they were killed. The unfortunate truth with this mod is that most of the heads are going to be lost to the void, but you might find a couple lying around on neighboring islands. could be fall damage. could be a really lucky kill.

Gyroscope + the props works for drone style. Have a few of these on my workshop. That is, use the gyro as the engine for each propeller. One 3x3 gyro each. Free energy!
You can put your items on an elevated platform high enough from the bots
Thrusters are so overexpensive and burn so much fuel that I tkink it is a great idea to use proppelers

Garment boxes are invincible you can use them to help guard your crops.
if the chemical engine can work it'd be an ideal flyer for this world! I have one in my fant CGM world and it is very cool! I've been meaning to redesign it as ruin running blimpus!
You could use the right propeller for thrust or make another left and have four propellers so it will be more stable
With how much you worry about rocks falling off the edge, I'm surprised you don't build a wall before you start drilling. It's 0 waste since you can just take it down after
So... I played around with the farming calculator. Apparently oranges, blueberries and banana's all cap out at ten farm bots per raid. The only way to get a farm bot is with tier three crops. IE: fungus, calliflower... (Warning, noun.exe has encountered a fatal error.) IE: Brocoli.
How many brocoli are required to make that jump, i do not know, but you are / should be completely safe from farmbots and tapebots at the start of this video.
you can make the farm plots more compact to save space
you can repickup things you normally cant pick up like the craft bot in your inventory by placing it on a lift and deleting it using the lift (idk could be useful for a moveable refinery?)
They patched it I believe so it drops as an item and upon pickup goes into your hands like normal

hey Scrapman .. you really need to take a closer look at the vacuum pumps in this mod. If fant has added the same ones as he has in his other mod they can be colored (pink is one example) and used to suck resource rods ( rock and stone) into a chest or a refining setup.
You should use the lift with the drill to lift it up, so that you can mine easier.
Ah yes. Another mod to make scrapmechanics more like Trailmakers.
Except gyros have been in 00Fant's mod longer than they have been in Trailmakers.

Just a reminder, double raid timer means more enemies which means more enemy loot. Risk reward scraps.
Haybots make for good building material in a world whose building material is otherwise finite (guessing).

Yes and no, each raid timer would be for a lower tier raid.
I used to exploit this in vanilla by building on the corner of 4 grids. You could farm 4x the crops with no raids and later with enough planted soil plots get 4x the raids.

you should try making a plane with the fant mod, it's really easy and using almost no fuel
I think you should put the farm right at the edge of the map and have the farm bots run into fast moving wheels that fling them off the floating island 😅

you could make a refinery, you know how you can place the bars and stuff on the blocks you could put it on the lift and reposition it
For farm defense you could make pistons that push the bots off the edge
Blueprint editing completely breaks the balance of the game. You can make a small chest and fill it with whatever you want then save it on a lift. Then as long as you have a small chest you can duplicate whatever you want.
Scrapman you should use your bucket to throw water at the bots to short circuit (stun) them
Can you cheese farming, by planting the minimum to trigger a raid, just before the reset, then planting the rest right after? Or does the difficulty adjust to whatever is currently planted when the raid spawns?
Try moving the sawblades closer to the actual farm so the bots will get closer but not too close that they'll attack

Fant (mod creator) commented and said that there was an issue with the "blimp" and he fixed it so that it should be operationally the next time he plays.

The best vehicle is a small drone using 1 saddle seat, 2 small gyros (one pitch one role), an electric engine, and 4 small propellers (2 left, 2 right), 1 logic gate, and 6 input logic gates (w, a, s, d, seat detection, and click to activate the engine) i can probably send an image of this build in your discord.
That seems like it would take a whole lot more resources than what is necessary just to be able to have the ability to "fly".

Rushing things like that is not beneficial for someone who is creating content of their first playthrough. If you want your content to be a multiple episode series, then you have to take your time and not rush through things that a normal player like yourself rush through. Playing a game and making content on a game typically requires different play styles.

you can have an infinite type of motor if you use the 1x1 gyroscopes attached to the propellers
TOILET WARNING (any creation really...) If you fall while IN a seat and spawn back at 'base' that seat/toilet/creation will be DELETED... It's a convenient way to jump long distances, but if you miss you stand to lose the thing you're sitting on...

Dont upgrade the craftbot. It can loop on lvl one with just chests.
Also cardboard goes 4x as far as the wood!
