This was one of the worst things to happen to my neighborhood. To this day his memorial and missing poster still stands and people still drop flowers and teddy bears. I can't even imagine being Kyron's mother. Our city hurts for her.

The Columbine school shooting happened in 1999. There is no excuse for every school in the country to not have cameras. I️ mean we’re talking about 2010 here. My school was set up where you couldn’t go anywhere except the classrooms, bathrooms, and offices without being on camera. I️ mean literally around every corner there was a camera so this is just mind blowing to me.

My theory: the step mother could have been getting even with her husband Kane for kicking out her older biological son from the house. If my son isn't welcome in our home then neither is Kyron
Ooh I didn't think of that. I don't know that she killed him though. Maybe he is dead, but I personally don't think she killed him. I think she took him somewhere or gave him to someone. So he really could be dead or alive.
It wasn’t Kaine who had James move out. It was in fact Terri herself who preplanned James moving out. There is a video of James stating it was his Mom who kicked him out. Kaine and James got along it was Terri and James who often butted heads. I would guess it was all part of her sinister plan. If James isn’t living in the home at the time Kyron goes missing then that will remove him as a suspect and reduce the chance of James uncovering and blowing her premeditated plans of whatever happened to Kyron on June 4th 2010.
I'm from the town that Terri, the stepmom moved to. Shortly after she arrived the entire town put pictures of Kyron up all over the place. You couldn't go or look anywhere without seeing his sweet face. Definitely made sure Terri could not escape or forget the terrible thing she did.

Ok for the record when terry talks about being "virtually half deaf" , I have no eardrum in my left ear so I am quite literally half deaf but in a quiet room in which a lie detector test is administered I can hear perfectly. The only time there are problems with my hearing in which I have to maybe read lips are at loud parties or restaurants. That is such a blatant lie that her "being deaf" was the cause of her failed test.

Hearing loss/deafness is a disability too, so all she would have had to say is "im hearing impaired and i need an interpreter or to read your lips" they legally would have had to make accommodations

We've watched/read every bit of news, so much more than what can put into this podcast. So, yes, it's much more emotional for us than someone learning of the story 11 years after the fact.
as someone who lives in Oregon I have know about this case for years and years since I was young and many people have given up on it thinking it's been to long and he's not coming back but I think you can't give up on children like that and always keep looking

From my understanding the school can’t confirm that Terry left with him, or even that someone he knew took him away from school. They probably weren’t paying close attention to his whereabouts.

The school didn’t call hm when Kyron was marked absent bc TERRi had told the teacher prior that Kyron would be at an all day doc appt. She knew the staff, the layout of the school and she knew Kyron trusted her. She is a monster and is responsible for WHATEVER happened to Kyron on June 4th 2010. We will NEVER give up!! I worked at a school and kids can’t go into their classes early in the morning. I think it’s about 15 minutes after we open the doors for breakfast. Definitely not two full hours before class

I even knew a little boy who at the time this happened looked just like Kyron and whenever he would go out strangers would whisper "kyron! Kyron! Is that you?" And they would call the cops on his mom. She would constantly have to explain to people that he wasn't him.

Yes!! My grandpa is their neighbor, and I grew up there. I personally know the the Irwins, and I myself do not think they are guilty. They still have posters all over the house trying to keep the case alive. Lisa was such a sweet little baby, I really do hope she is found and brought back home

To be completely honest, I dont find the side hug odd, to me it just looks like a stepmom trying to comfort a biological mother in a scenario that nobody should ever have to go through. That being said, ALL of her other behaviors are very suspect. She totally did something to this poor child.

My step mom is bipolar and has other mental illnesses . She tried to drown me when I was 7 and had abused me because she was jealous of me and my dad’s relationship I’m 18 now and out of that house but I do believe his step mother had something to do with it because of my story.

Being from Portland. I remember when this first happened. Every week it was reported I was sure they’d find him. It’s been years and still nothing. I can’t remember where we were driving and saw his face on some posters . My heart breaks for him and his mom. I hope on day they finally get answers.

Why is no one questioning the older brother? U mean, come on! He was kicked out of the house, so I'm sure that he would want revenge for that! Plus Terry even said that she was mad at Cane for kicking him out, so maybe she thought about a plan to get back at him. Plus she would need someone to help her with this plan, and who would be better then her own son who might still be salty about being kicked out.
I thought the same! It’s strange that the police didn’t go for every possible suspect. They were focusing on Kerri like 90% of the time, which is understandable, but if the police are getting nowhere with one suspect they should look for different one and go on from there. It’s possible that the brother had something to do with it and the fact that he may have something to do with Kyron and that no one is looking in this direction (that I know of) makes me upset.

That's what I've always thought. Could have used a ruse to get Kyron to voluntarily go along with her accomplice. Probably told the poor boy to go meet someone outside (someone with an accessory for his science project or something like that). That person was probably waiting outside close to a vehicle. I've lived in Oregon all my life and I remember seeing so many lost child posters of Kyron. Now they're all basically gone. It's really sad because we are all just losing hope.
Please Kendal do one on Ron Tammen. He disappeared in 1953 from campus. He was studying for his exam on a cold winters night, his roommates had all seen him studying in his dorm. His wallet, keys etc were all left. There was snow in the ground and a very cold night. If he has froze to death in woods he'd probably have been found but there has literally been nothing. I live 20 min from the campus he disappeared from, I was around in 53 but it still gives me chills and feel so bad for his family.
This is so weird to watch. I went to the same elementary school as Kyron. He would be my age right now. His younger sister is incredibly sweet. She’d give me art project she was working on and I’m just glad that she has her dad and his new wife to give her all the love she needs.

The Columbine school shooting happened in 1999. There is no excuse for every school in the country to not have cameras. I️ mean we’re talking about 2010 here. My school was set up where you couldn’t go anywhere except the classrooms, bathrooms, and offices without being on camera. I️ mean literally around every corner there was a camera so this is just mind blowing to me.

It wasn’t Kaine who had James move out. It was in fact Terri herself who preplanned James moving out. There is a video of James stating it was his Mom who kicked him out. Kaine and James got along it was Terri and James who often butted heads. I would guess it was all part of her sinister plan. If James isn’t living in the home at the time Kyron goes missing then that will remove him as a suspect and reduce the chance of James uncovering and blowing her premeditated plans of whatever happened to Kyron on June 4th 2010.
I'm from the town that Terri, the stepmom moved to. Shortly after she arrived the entire town put pictures of Kyron up all over the place. You couldn't go or look anywhere without seeing his sweet face. Definitely made sure Terri could not escape or forget the terrible thing she did.
I live about 45 min away from Portland and there are still a few pictures of Kyron up. I hope Terri feels that guilt forever. We all know she did something.

Ok for the record when terry talks about being "virtually half deaf" , I have no eardrum in my left ear so I am quite literally half deaf but in a quiet room in which a lie detector test is administered I can hear perfectly. The only time there are problems with my hearing in which I have to maybe read lips are at loud parties or restaurants. That is such a blatant lie that her "being deaf" was the cause of her failed test.

Hearing loss/deafness is a disability too, so all she would have had to say is "im hearing impaired and i need an interpreter or to read your lips" they legally would have had to make accommodations

From my understanding the school can’t confirm that Terry left with him, or even that someone he knew took him away from school. They probably weren’t paying close attention to his whereabouts.
Numerous students & adult witnesses including KYRON’s own busdriver saw Kyron leaving with Terri. The school didn’t call hm when Kyron was marked absent bc TERRi had told the teacher prior that Kyron would be at an all day doc appt. She knew the staff, the layout of the school and she knew Kyron trusted her. She is a monster and is responsible for WHATEVER happened to Kyron on June 4th 2010. We will NEVER give up!! Terri can remarry & move but it doesn’t change the fact she is responsible for the disappearance of her stepson. We will NEVER stop. We will fight for justice for Kyron. Yes!! My grandpa is their neighbor, and I grew up there. I personally know the the Irwins, and I myself do not think they are guilty. They still have posters all over the house trying to keep the case alive. Lisa was such a sweet little baby, I really do hope she is found and brought back home

The penalty for human trafficking/production of child pornography should absolutely be death.
I mean, most people who mess with children end up getting messed up in prison because even gang bangers/murders tend to have a line when it comes to kids. I’m not going to say I wish that one anyone but if anyone deserves to be beaten up, violated, etc... it’s someone who messes with children.

Prison sentences don’t help child abusers because they are thrown into PC ( protective custody ) or are often put on a block with just cho mos. I personally think they should be done away with in a public form to show what happens when you brutalize or sexualize a minor

To be completely honest, I dont find the side hug odd, to me it just looks like a stepmom trying to comfort a biological mother in a scenario that nobody should ever have to go through.
That being said, ALL of her other behaviors are very suspect. She totally did something to this poor child.
I think it would be strange depending on the relationship. My stepmother and mother were civil but they would never, ever touch each other, even in an handshake. If Desiree thinks it’s strange I’d be inclined to believe her.
I think it had more to do with the body language during the side hug, and not the fact that she is the step mom hugging the biological mom. Looking at it gave me really weird vibes
My step mom is bipolar and has other mental illnesses . She tried to drown me when I was 7 and had abused me because she was jealous of me and my dad’s relationship I’m 18 now and out of that house but I do believe his step mother had something to do with it because of my story.
Your story is very sad and I hope you received counseling and that you are doing well now. It sounds like sexual or physical abuse of she was jealous of the relationship so hopefully you are over that part of your life. You're a beautiful woman outside and sound like a beautiful woman on the inside, too.
That said, we can't judge the step mom based off of your story. If that was done so many would be found guilty so I'm hoping you don't serve on a jury. However, you are 💯 correct that the stepmother did this. Hope all is well!

In the hours the step mother was out she never dropped the groceries off at home most people when the buy groceries they drop it off home like "gurl where you put the groceries at huh"?

Being from Portland. I remember when this first happened. Every week it was reported I was sure they’d find him. It’s been years and still nothing. I can’t remember where we were driving and saw his face on some posters . My heart breaks for him and his mom. I hope on day they finally get answers.

I’m from Corvallis and it was the first time I was ever aware of kids being abducted since I was the same age as him. I remember where I was when I heard the first announcements on the radio. I really thought they were going to find him
Same, I had just moved to the area when it happened. I remember as a kid seeing the missing posters taped on poles in intersections but them eventually being taken down as more time passed and he wasn’t found. Really sad.
I'm so glad to see you've covered this case. Everyone thinks it was his step mom locally. I live right here. This isn't a school you could have walked to or from, esp back then. Terry just so conveniently took that photo....right? We hear about this every year, it runs in the local paper and it's just absolutely devastating :( ugh it makes me so ill.
Why is no one questioning the older brother? U mean, come on! He was kicked out of the house, so I'm sure that he would want revenge for that! Plus Terry even said that she was mad at Cane for kicking him out, so maybe she thought about a plan to get back at him. Plus she would need someone to help her with this plan, and who would be better then her own son who might still be salty about being kicked out.
I thought the same! It’s strange that the police didn’t go for every possible suspect. They were focusing on Kerri like 90% of the time, which is understandable, but if the police are getting nowhere with one suspect they should look for different one and go on from there.
It’s possible that the brother had something to do with it and the fact that he may have something to do with Kyron and that no one is looking in this direction (that I know of) makes me upset.
Maybe that they (the older son and Terri) planned this out and he was the "stranger" in the school.

Having a child go missing seems like the worst thing in the world. Seeing Kyron's sweet little face just breaks my heart. My heart also breaks for his poor parents, I can not even imagine the torture they go through every single day. As for the step mother, rage doesn't even begin to describe how I feel about her.
This was so scary for me because i was only a year or two older than him AND lived in the dame vicinity as him. I really hope that this case gets solved soon and my best wishes to the family

Terri hired someone to kidnap and murder Kyron... her recent investigation of ‘murder for hire’ and what the father had claimed with that guy who admitted speaking with Terri about being hired to kill him is no coincidence! She planned for Kyron to run ahead of her at the school knowing someone will be there to kidnap him! She can just burn in hell!!
That's what I've always thought. Could have used a ruse to get Kyron to voluntarily go along with her accomplice. Probably told the poor boy to go meet someone outside (someone with an accessory for his science project or something like that). That person was probably waiting outside close to a vehicle. Just my theory. But I think it fits, because this way, Terri isn't seen leaving the fair with Kyron.

I've lived in Oregon all my life and I remember seeing so many lost child posters of Kyron. Now they're all basically gone. It's really sad because we are all just losing hope.
Please Kendal do one on Ron Tammen. He disappeared in 1953 from campus. He was studying for his exam on a cold winters night, his roommates had all seen him studying in his dorm. His wallet, keys etc were all left. There was snow in the ground and a very cold night. If he has froze to death in woods he'd probably have been found but there has literally been nothing. I live 20 min from the campus he disappeared from, I was around in 53 but it still gives me chills and feel so bad for his family.

This is so weird to watch. I went to the same elementary school as Kyron. He would be my age right now. His younger sister is incredibly sweet. She’d give me art project she was working on and I’m just glad that she has her dad and his new wife to give her all the love she needs.
i didn’t go to the same school as him but lived in the area. i remember it so clearly though because it was so terrifying as a young kid.
