GT3R at Summit Point Main with PCA Potomac

- I was fortunate enough to be offered a drive in a proper Porsche GT3R 991.1. I am very thankful for the opportunity to drive this car. I've never driven a factory built 911 racecar of any kind. This completely ruined me. I've never experienced anything like this. This was in a red session at a PCA Potomac HPDE. The closing speeds are insane.
Best lap starts around 16:37.
Amazing car and big thanks to the car owner! I think best lap was 13 or 14 with a 1:11.7. I had a lower 1:11 going up 3-4 tenths on the last lap but got an alarm so I shut it down coming into T10 and brought it in.
Amazing car...life changing experience. I could go so much faster with some more time in the car.

Thank you RUclips algorithm. This is my home track. I’ve won many races there. Set some fast laps. But holy crap this was next level. Nice job and thank you for the fast and entertaining ride around the Point.

wow! that is insanely fast. best lap starts around 16:37 coming up to the bridge before 10 and then hang on and watch the ride!
Sean, just awesome watching you control the tracking out when passing and navigating this track that I'm heading down today to drive the next two days with Metro NY PCA. Really appreciate the perspective that I hope will help me acclimate to this track!

Rank your week. Bermuda. 2nd place in the Chili competition. Gt3R. Life changing began at lap 3 when you starting setting PRs. All else will pale forever. Until you get one.

Does the 991.1 have ABS and the 991.2 does not?
Both have ABS. The GT3R is the GT3 regulation car. You may be thinking of the cup car which has no ABS in either 991 generation, but could be added.
@@JLewisRacing927 For whatever reason I had thought one 991 version of the Cup automatically came with the ABS. I understand that the US version 992 Cup does have ABS? I was completely unaware that the GT3R came with ABS. Thank you very much for the clarification. I appreciate it!
