- EN Nomads is a new song from Tilmann's project that will appear on the upcoming album (hopefully 2025). The band has been working hard on album pre-production with a view to fully embodying the project's orchestral and hybrid vein. It takes a lot to make the best out of a composition, and Nomads clearly required to spend time arranging its parts, vocals harmonies, climax and moments of rest. I hope from the bottom of my heart that you enjoy the music we created.
I chose to entrust the writing of this song to Louis Durdek, and we worked together to find the subject of the song. We tried to put ourselves in the shoes of those men, women and children who roamed the land on horseback, taking their stories with them, creating their own legends by telling them by the fire in the evening, leaving their past behind.
FR Nomads est la dernière live session du projet éponyme porté par le chanteur-guitariste Tilmann. Ce titre figurera dans le nouvel album, à paraître en 2025. Le groupe travaille depuis de longs mois sur la pré-production de cet album, cherchant à définir et à pousser toujours plus loin son caractère hybride et orchestral. Nomads n'a pas fait exception dans ce long travail d'orfèvre, pour travailler ses mouvements d'intensité, ses climax et ses repos, faire ressortir les harmonies vocales et les timbres du nyckelharpa, de la guitare, de la contrebasse et des peaux de batterie. J'espère sincèrement que cette chanson saura vous toucher. Nous y avons mis tous les ingrédients et l'émotion sensibles dont nous disposions.
Cette chanson parle des hommes, femmes et enfants qui ont tout quitté pour parcourir le monde à cheval, emportant avec eux leurs histoires et créant leurs propres légendes, laissant leur passé loin derrière eux. La coda chantée "Just like the river flows...we won't be left behind" est une allégorie de la transmission de la tradition, un hommage à mon amour pour les musiques traditionnelles et au processus de passation oral : tant que les enfants sauront, nous ne serons pas oubliés.
