Hi, I’m Krista! I make math courses to keep you from banging your head against the wall. ;)
Math class was always so frustrating for me. I’d go to a class, spend hours on homework, and three days later have an “Ah-ha!” moment about how the problems worked that could have slashed my homework time in half. I’d think, “WHY didn’t my teacher just tell me this in the first place?!”
So I started tutoring to keep other people out of the same aggravating, time-sucking cycle. Since then, I’ve recorded tons of videos and written out cheat-sheet style notes and formula sheets to help every math student-from basic middle school classes to advanced college calculus-figure out what’s going on, understand the important concepts, and pass their classes, once and for all. Unit 5 is all about Optimization, and it's the last unit of Derivatives before we start Integrals in Unit 6. 🙌 Timestamps are in the description! 🤓
Why did you remove units 6-10? Can we only access them if we buy your course?
@@simoneangelov6950 same question... im crying rn
where are the rest of the units?
@@simoneangelov6950 WHERE DID THEY GO
@@juliafremberg They are on her website, you have to purchase her course which includes all of the worksheets she mentioned at the beginning of the video.
Wish i found this video more than 12 hours before the exam lol
hard to think 10 years ago I was in hs jr year watching these videos every day. turns out this channel and khan academy were more effective than any one of my school teachers. I dont think you realize how much of a positive impact you have had in peoples lives. Thankyou, Krista. :)
Can’t agree more!!!
Where is unit 6-8🥺🥺🥺 i got my ap exam tomorrow 😭😭
Update: I ended up getting a 4!!! Thank u ma'am
i cant find them
I think you have to buy them on the ultimate review packet links in the description
Congratulations on the 4, Havva! You're amazing! :D
Remembering your videos 5 years ago when i was studying and struggling thru out my lessons then finding your channel it was the light at the end of the tunnel , im an engineer now ! Thanks krista for every video you have made , salute from EGYPT!
Haven’t seen this channel in a long time almost forgot about it. You helped me years and years ago, now I’m an engineer so thanks!
Beast
I am an engineering student. How are you liking it?
@@SergeantTopBins it’s great I get to work on rockets and things that go to space.
So glad to hear that you're an engineer now, that's awesome!! :D
@@kristakingmath i really love your voice and classes 🤗
Thanks for the timestamps! I am bad at math and have no idea what's going on but I indexed the timestamps in the video timestamps search engine, will definitely be helpful for someone searching there.
Love this channel and the content you post! Whether you post videos soon or not, thank you and have a good one :).
P.S. I saw someone say they’re an engineer now, and I’d like to say I’m now studying Calc 3 and moving into my 2nd year of my Electrical & Computer Engineering program :). Your videos have helped me to understand the material much more easily!
Thank you for this!! this is great supplementary material to class lectures, and your study guide is super helpful seeing the reasoning behind the essential knowledge that comes out of this unit. a good purchase and will definitely be using for the rest of the year :)
You're very welcome, Casey! I'm so glad you're getting great use out of the course!! :D
@@kristakingmath hey why did u left
For the first time I found your lecture videos now and it helps me to teach my students in a more simple and neat explanation, although I'm from Measure Theory background.
16:00 I'm glad you said test each interval, bcuz some think you just need to test one bcuz it always changes between each one It doesn't. But there's an easier strategy: just test 0 (unless 0 is a critical point, then just test each one), then look at the multiplicities for the other solutions, how many times it's a solution. If it has an odd multiplicity (ex. (x-1)^3), then it crosses the x-axis, so the sign changes. If it's even (ex. x^2), it doesn't actually cross. So then you only need to test 1 point, then look at solutions
40:40 So this technically isn't necessary. I say that bcuz with the 1st derivative, its solutions are where the function turns, & we know how it turns from how the derivative crosses the x-axis. For instance where the derivative goes from + to - (so=0) is where the function goes from increasing to decreasing, a local max
1:10:45 Why not 0?
I(a highschool student) and my sister( a computer science student) watch all of your videos .
You mean a lot for us and we love you so so so much❤
God bless you, I would have been screwed without this video

I absolutely love your videos- they are sigle handedly getting me through AP Calculus! Can you PLEASE post a unit 6 and 7 video? I would be so so happy!
You can get them in the Ultimate Review Packet, although I presume you've already taken the test at this point.

I wonder where you are. Was just reminiscing my days in the University and you crossed my mind. That's some 7 years ago. I was sleeping and waking on your channel. Had As in all my math courses. Graduated with First Class and as Best Graduating Student. Thank you so much

you are to the point , I guess that in case you expand your channel more to additional theory , you are going to surpass each and every one
kind request plz make one video on the bayes theorem and its application.
Will be very very thankful if you make a video
i appreciate you hard work regarding math....
i bought all of your udemy courses and its best decision i have ever made, i cant even EXPLAIN how easy it is to learn from your courses🥰🥰🥰
That means so so much to me, thank you! I'm so excited that you're going to be working through all the Udemy courses. I'm constantly working on trying to perfect them as much as I possibly can, so I'm so glad to hear that you're enjoying them! :D
The video was really beneficial... can you please make a video for unit 6
Your the best Krista!
Greetings and blessings from San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima, Perú.
Hi krista, these videos are helping me so much! just a question - are they really covering the entire BC portion also?
There are BC specific videos that cover all the BC content. You'll find them in the AP Calc BC playlist on my channel. :)
Really helpful.
Cheers for helping me get a 5
Pls pls upload again and explain highschool level maths. I love your algebra lectures they helped me soooo much in my exams
Saving me for the semester final exam. I have to take my exam in two hours!
At around 50:57 aren't the points at x=2 and x=4 for the first derivative graph inflection points for the original graph? Wouldn't x=3 be a critical point?
Thank you so much you are a legend
Really helpful 👍
Which software are you using for the black board? Thanks!
has the book changed in the last year, I am currently taking this class and most of these subjects were covered in chapter 3 or before
i love you for making this video
Mam can u please tell me from which book I can find problems related to this topics
Can u pls make some videos on integration by substitution. Like what term to substitute frustrates me.

hello teacher, could you review all the series in calc 2 ?
einstein mastered calculas when he was 16 , that just stuck in my head, i am 27 and i will learn it even it kills me

Is there a unit 6 video being made or already uploaded?

Hi - I subscribed to your courses in Udemy, and they are so amazing !! Thank you so much. Also, one request. Could you make courses in physics?!! Please I swear I would pay for the courses on Udemy without a single hestiation.
What is the difference between your "Become a Linear Algebra Master" and "Become a Algebra Master" courses on Udemy?
Are there videos for unit 6-10? I see most of the BC content is missing from your youtube videos. Please upload! @Krista King
She’s a LIFE SAVER
I think i'm still gonna get a 1 but these videos are helpful and very well made
@Samuel Price Damn bro just saw she hasnt made 6,7 or 8 :/
@@natenate4525 She actually does have units 6, 7, and 8. If you go to her channel and click playlists, then all her unit review videos should be under AP Calculus AB
which software do you use to make such good graphs and sketches and also the device it works on ?
I’ve been wondering this too. I hope she returns to answer the question.
ur videos are so underrated
Very nice of you to say, Iciye! :)
for 5.12. Why did you solve for y=4x and plug that back into original function? Critical point is where f'(x)=0 or undefined instead of original function equal to 0. So why don't you just solve the equation system of 4x-y=0 and 2y+x=0
help is there is unit 6 video
Can u please make a video on conversion of cartesian co ordinates into non cartesian ones?
I have several already on my channel for converting into polar, spherical, cylindrical, etc. :)
i want an autographed T shirt
I am cram studying rn for an exam I have tomorrow over unit 5, what makes it even worse is that this exam will count as my final for my first semester so it will be worth 20% of my total grade. Really really hoping that I do good tomorrow!
Wat school
the graph still works with f"'(x) and so on right?
yes, like she said its like a cascading waterfall
are the udemy course n RUclips videos same ?
We're.... we're moving on to the integrals part of the course right? ..... Right?
Where is unit 6 please share
I request you Ma'am. Please upload the other 5 units too :( I beg you Ma'am Please.

for the EVT, isnt it [a,b] not (a,b)
Yes, I have a textbook that states it that way, so that should be right
What level is that ? In terms of years after the end of high school for example.
Most people take this class as a senior in high school. :)
