Aniruddh Dimri absolutely, i started listening to it thinking there will be a lot fast blues licks, but still I wasn't disappointed cos it was eminently soulful. Hats off Warren.
Whenever I feel low and want to just burst into tears. I listen to this and I feel like it's okay if nothing's on your side now but sooner you'll be flying.
@@IWantSomethingNew Karsh kale had said that he composed it in a car with him and it was raining.. and I also saw an interview of Warren where he had mentioned NZ. But I think it was composed over a period of time.. and both NZ and Mumbai Pune highway had a lot to do with it..
@@BlueBoysTune That could be true. It could also be that ruclips.net/video/v11rpZgzOCk/видео.html this ^ version of Hallelujah by Karsh Kale (which also features bits from Ode to A Sunny Day) might've been composed on the Mumbai Pune highway. Either way, it's a lovely song. BTW, think you could link me to the interviews? I would like to read/watch them.
The part where the main riff kicks in feels like depressive clouds being sifted away and the sunny day actually coming in ever so gingerly . So many emotions without any lyrics. Warren indeed is a legend
I won't even get started about Warren, but the bassist here has my heart! Reminds me of Bryan Beller. Blackstratblues has unfailingly helped me pass through this ghastly pandemic. Lots of love.
After years of being a fan, last year, on my birthday in October, I had gone to see them perform live in Pune. 70-80 people in the crowd because it rained insane on that day and crowd turnout was low. Yet they performed with such great energy and it was the best birthday ever!
Ashish Agrawal I think he had an optical vibrato effect turned on till that point ( lush sounding liquidy effect ) and he turned that off which mades the guitar tone clear
u can't compare the rate of appreciation of warren with mainstream filmy songs.lots of indie artist in our country holds different popularity in indie field.even in west lots of artist with great talent r underrated in such genre cause in west also mainstream is pop,rap we know.so I think we should judge independent artist in respect of their field n we all know indie scene is growing rapidly.in a country like 1.3 billion ppl, very small support can also create big audience.if u think indian audience sucks then u should check stel andre from greece what a guitarist n what a underrated he is n he is from europe
Sitting around at the beach with my soulmate beside, gazing stars, listening to low soothing waves, playing this song in the background, ... At a point, both stares in the eyes and when the string bends exactly at 6:15, we kissed! ❤️ (And lost completely, nowhere, in the middle of somewhere) 🌌
I'm in Bangalore and its raining outside, but as i close my eyes i'm in a place like the Shire with the sun slowly enlightening the meadows and stream nearby... And the end when Jai brings his cymbals crashing those are my last sips of a nice beverage...
Lots of Love from #Pakistan Yar been listening to this since past 6 months and i tell you he's like Faraz Anwer of #Pakistan, never getting old. Whattay talent.
This is so beautiful. It starts with a nostalgic feeling like you are reminiscing your past. Leaves such sour after taste wanting more but satisfying in the sense that be happy it ever happened not sad because it ended.
Listening to this today feels me with a warm sadness and a smile. Blackstratblues was the last music show I went to. I missed a lot many things prioritizing work and thinking the world will move the same and I will see something soon. But a year into the pandemic, all I can do is remember that there were good times and hope for the same. Warren is a beautiful musician and I always make it a point to attend these guys' gigs whenever they are in town. Today, on a Monday, working from home and in solitary confinement away from friends and family, this song truly is an Ode to a Sunny Day.
There is something very deep inside this man's heart and soul. By playin' this music he expresses some part of it and it feels like a healing wave that's passing through our ears. Hats off Bruh. May angels lead you in.
I started listening to this band on soundcloud and I thought this some some british artist and when I searched this on youtube I was like WOAH. Indian do make miracles.
Was recommended by someone,of whom I wish the absolute very best. Now, as I sit listening to this at 4 in the morning, it feels though most things will be and are shitty, eventually, we'll pull through and the best is gonna come. Thank you you.
Apart from how brilliantly well this is written, can we all appreciate the mix on this. The perfect amounts of everything. Is it fair that one person can be so talented?
Fantastic drumming! Perfectly to the point and smooth AF. It's just sad to see no one mentioning the person who brought so many changes in the rhythm between the tracks.
You can only get this sound when the guitar becomes an extension of your soul

Yes!! Beautifully said.
Thanks for all the love for this song! The album version is now here, along with the rest of the album. ruclips.net/video/M23pEgnP2Y8/видео.html

Hey Warren!!! Pliz share us the guitar tab for this song!

totally agree, a drummer who kept the mood and never went off the rails. His dynamics are crazy good!!

what a BRILLIANT comment!
Coming back again after 6-7 years.. this song has helped me a lot.. I used to listen to this for hours..
Quintessential Blackstratblues!
If I were to be marooned on a deserted island, this'd definitely be a part of my Desert Island Disc.
I listen this every time a drive from Pune to Mumbai.
That is the exact Highway where this song was composed.. Inside a moving car on that Highway.. In the monsoon...

I started listening to blackstrat blues bcoz the name reminded me of Gilmour's black Stratocaster... Well I wasn't disappointed..I found another gem..
I read the comment section and see only men of culture have seen, listen and felt this music.
Yes we can easily befriend anyone from this comment list. One common things is good music taste.
Absolutely brother.... Almost Everyone in the comments section is and are of the same breed I guess

Man they need international recognition. Indian audience will never appreciate this masterpiece!
Yes, but we appreciate, which means a lot to the artist I think. Especially when they are enjoying what they are doing and being original.
True
Okay sure man. Whatever.
I disagree. I think there is a large Indian audience that does appreciate this kind of music.

Satya Iyer - Every time I take a listen to this track, I secretly thank you., Thanks a million for turning me on to Warren
The coolest guy for me is the basist...though im a lead guitarist.....he is so accurate...and has a bunch of notes to his disposal....love him

This is my first time hearing this guy - what a treat. So tasteful, and jammin at the same time. Kinda a rare combination these days.
Recording quality is top notch. Our very own mark Knopfler/Gilmour!

I love how warren weaves a story for almost all of their albums.
Saw them live last week.. can't seem to get this out of my head
Always coming back to this to feel what playing guitar should be like .. absolute soul touching music!

I Always get chills at the 6:16 melody change
i love warren's playing style hope i can learn music from him.
Gives you a surreal feel which you always craved for but never realized untill this.
Would it be an overstatement to say that Warren is our very own David Gilmour?
nischay rathore can't tell
At the moment yeah overstatement. But I sincerely hope he gets there sometime :)
Understatement if you were to take my opinion.
He sounds nothing like Gilmour. Clapton maybe.
He sounds like Warren❤
Fantastic drumming! Perfectly to the point and smooth AF. It's just sad to see no one mentioning the person who brought so many changes in the rhythm between the tracks.
Yep I am mainly a guitarist and I was so turned on by his drumming I was jelly I wasn't there playing to his solid smoking grooves. Just sublime.
I find myself returning to this song over and over again. There are other great songs by Blackstratblues but this is truly special!
This is sexier than a Sachin Tendulkar straight drive. And that's saying something!
Thanks you each and everyone of you!! god bless you!!!
