This is really cool that you and China Mac finally linked up! Sorry that there was a little bit of drama but that's life. When I was travelling I also encountered some drama but I told myself I paid too much of money to let this ruin my trip lol. So with that in mind I kept it moving and would not let anything bother me. Thankyou for the video!
To be fair China Mac is literally lost in translation. It’s possible that he really was just reacting to being blindsided. This could be true but this means I also gave him too much credit for being street smart.
I just saw China Mac's latest video he posted today with you in it, were you both spoke to the other more pleasant woman. It would be Dope if you both could do more collabs, your pretty chill and professional. I respect that.
You were calm and collected and genuinely trying to learn the culture and understand the rude lady. You should do more videos like this just walking around District 1 and filming your interactions with the locals. It'd be fun.

Just my own 2 cents on this situation. I'm noting upfront that I'm not talking about who is in the right and who is in the wrong. I'm solely talking about how Darren pretends like she just becomes unhinged for no reason, and he is some innocent byparty. It feels a bit disingenuous for Darren to paint the narrative that way. Whether it was intentional or not, he antagonised her. Let me be clear, was she rude and a brute, and was her argument false from a legal perspective? Absolutely. But that doesn't change the fact that he antagonised her, which kicked it all off. If not intentional, from this interaction, it would seem Darren has really poor social and communication skills. It was clear she wasn't happy when she hid her face on the first pass. So if you are going to come back under the pretense of trying to find out more information or gain a better understanding, someone with tact would apologise if their actions offended the person, tell them they will delete it and let them know the intent for turning back is just to get a better understanding etc. Instead, the way Darren comes back and the thing he says just lacks tact. It comes off as "Hey, can't I film on this street or what?". This is clearly confrontational and sarcastic at best. Just because he came back with the camera down the second time doesn't negate/change anything as he would try to portray. It's also why at one point, she goes off about how he films her first then only comes back later to ask. Both sides look bad in this.
For the record though, in terms of the content of the argument, Darren's points definitely outweighed the lady's points. She was being unreasonable and to some extent contradictory.
Daren, do you think it’s on the tourist to be more conscientious or is it on the local workers to be more accommodating? Based on this situation I think Mac is being entitled as a tourist. It’s a massage area and people should know not to record.
I think off the bat, her screaming with threats like that is outta pocket. Especially, on the main road, broad day light. She never asked if I’m filming or on a livestream, and to cut her out post edit. In the “full shouting video clip” I posted yesterday, she barely let me say a sentence. Imagine how this woman treats anyone who does something she does like..

It was intentional. Darren's camera angle is basically the massage shop as they approach with China Macs face barely in the frame. Then as they pass the massage shop, China macs face goes from the left of the screen to the right with the massage shop in the frame the whole time.
