I hope the Legion of Doom, The Rogues and The Sinestro Corps all show up in the DCU because they all have potential to be great villainous counterparts to DC's heroic teams. I especially hope for the Sinestro Corps and the Rogue's to show up. I also very much want the Legion of Doom to show up, maybe build up the teams roster of members by alluding to the villain of each Justice League member who's got a film and have a post credit scene of them joining the Legion of Doom, similar to how the MCU built up the Avengers but instead do it with villains
I really hope we get to see the New Gods in the DCU someday in the long term because while Darkseid is the most well known New God, they could really expand on multiple other characters and their rich fascinating stories. They could honestly make a sci fi Game of Thrones series all about the New Gods as these god like beings who embody good and evil but truly have a lot of complex family drama and nuanced motivations that show how grey the morals of god's are. Mister Miracle and Big Barda I especially hope they show up some day in the DCU because Tom King's Mister Miracle is one of my favourite graphic novels and a phenomenal comic that made Mister Miracle and Big Barda one of my favourite comic book couples. Since Tom King is working alongside James Gunn with creating the DCU there's a lot of potential to explore. I've also always thought the Metal Men were a super underrated team that had a lot of potential to explore complex themes about the beauty of life, whether a machine can understand human emotions on a deeper level, and the concept of family and love in a way that could be refreshing and unique to see. There's a lot of room to make these characters into a compelling superhero team in the DC Universe. I wish more adaptations could explore the Metal Men on a whole other deeper level. I actually have this pitch idea for a Metal Men animated series with some ideas I had to dive into these characters.
If the Metal Men ever do appear on screen I can definitely see it being a period piece given the Metal Men’s particular aesthetic, but definitely should be animated
It could also be another Elseworld story reminiscent of what Marvel’s doing for the Fantastic Four on an alternate earth where everything looks like retro 1960s😁🙏💕
While I would much prefer it if in terms of casting it was a clean slate for the DCU, but since there are small exceptions such as John Cena as Peacemaker and the rest of the supporting cast as well as Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, the one additional exception I would like to also see is getting Matt Ryan again for John Constantine because honestly every time he speaks is as if the character leaped from the pages.
Great seeing you’re channel grow and your passion for comics. I’m mainly into reading Marvel but the way you talk about DC makes me want to read some more DC stuff! Keep it up
I wouldn't mind longer videos or more often. But you're already my favorite comic book geek youtuber, and the community is offering great thoughts as well. 🎵 I'm loving it! 🎶
You got a great channel I've been watching everything in the past 2 weeks I would say that because I'm a bit deaf maybe speaking a bit more clear and tuning the mic but I know nothing about it, also I'd love to hear more please make longer videos lol great video keep up
I love your vids man! I think they are great how they are. Simple, quick to your thoughts and very effectively edited As for teams Metel Men and The New Gods seem prime for big budget animated movies. And I do agree it does seem like Young Justice era characters might be logistical casualties in the DCU
You covered pretty much all of the realistic picks and the major teams that'll probably appear in the DCU but I want to see that fake Marvel's Defenders from JLU make an appearance. Marvel's original Defenders was a team of ridiculously OP heroes that come together under Dr Strange to combat massive threats like Dormmamu. JLU had several analogs for the Defenders and they eventually put them on a team lead by Dr. Fate as the Strange stand in, Grundy was their Hulk, Aquaman was their Namor and Amazo was their Silver Surfer. I also think that this would be a great reason to adapt the DCAU Amazo story because its far better than the original Amazo, who is just an evil robot.
I really wanted to say New God's, but since the last video was about "teams" i didn't mention them 😂 Anyway, good video as always. The most I would want from your videos is better audio quality
Okay, but the introduction of Damian Wayne could be the perfect excuse for the writers to take Tim and have him contemplate his role in the family now that he's no longer needed as Batman's robin, leading him to breaking off with his friends and establishing a new team. Maybe not called Young Justice, and maybe instead the Teen Titans. I could easily see this being the Titans project that was announced, and later on we get the 05 titans with Damian as their robin and Nightwing as their leader. It finally solves the mystery of where to take Tim, the only problem is that well... New Superman, no Connor Kent. Unless He's unveiled to be a clone in Superman Legacy (which I doubt) then the timeline for this film could be shaky and it's not perfect. Still, this generation does need love as they're the victim of middle child syndrome quite honestly.
Really good content that isn't just the comic books. Although, I would be interested in your favorite comics that released this year or read this year.
Question, do you think you will ever do a best DC comics video? I’ve recently found your channel and have been really enjoying all the content and theories you’ve made (especially love how non biased your takes are). I’ve always been a huge Batfamily fan and growing up only stuck to those comics. While watching your videos I’ve making note of comics you’ve been speaking in high praise of but truthfully I don’t know a lot of other good runs. Would you have some recommendations or ever make a video on it? I’m also a broke college student so if I were to take the leap I’d want the comic to be worth my buck. Thank you!:)
I don't think Young Justice will be a part of the DCU but it would be cool if the members in Young Justice were in the Teen Titans, like how the Geoff Johns run folded them into the Teen Titans.
Here's my additional superhero team: Forever People, Challengers of the Unknown, Hero Hotline, and The Immortal Man. These teams are exciting to see on the big screen. I hope Gunn gives us more obscure teams and characters in the near future. I'm very excited, bro.
4:25 I generally really love majority of the things Tom King has written. It's mostly just his Batman stuff that I don't connect with. His overall run on Batman just never really did it for me and just as a whole I don't care for his characterisation of Batman. I also really dislike his take on Riddler and hated his "One Bad Day" issue. Although King's Penguin series was great.
I doubt (or maybe just wish) that they had ignore Tim but for the rest of the YJ I don’t think they would exist here I don’t understand how lighting and all that works but I think your presentation is really good and specially sound wise, I don’t you need music in the background (i think it’s useful for people who don’t use a face cam, when they do it can feel like a bit too much for some reason), you use it between segments and I think that’s very useful it grabs my attention cuz it signals that you’re moving on to the next point so I stop thinking about the pervious when and focus again. For the new gods, I haven’t read any of their comics, I know a little about mr miracle and big barda, but how do you think they can make a movie with a limited budget with a setting like that? It sound to me like asgard in the first Thor movie which wasn’t cheep and they avoided staying in it for too long, most of that movie was in New Mexico and this wouldn’t work for this one, so do you really think they can do a movie like that with a limited budget?
No honestly I don’t think they can. I think it’s another property best suited for animation, because yeah, a live action movie would require a lord of the rings style budget. Thank you for your comments!
I think it would be interesting if "Ultraman" has a redemption arc or etc, by the end of the Superman movie and turns into our superboy later on down the line.
I hope they don’t shove Batman into Justice League Dark like they did in the animated movie. Also I hope Etrigan is on the team cuz he is one of my favorite DC characters
Yo in the vid you were asking what you could do to make it better but you got the best vids on comics I’ve seen fr everyone else brings in random ass bs nobody wants to hear
I think there were two different Metal Men movies announced years ago, a live action one directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and an animated one by John Musker and Ron Clements. I don't know if either of them are still happening, especially since the live action one has been said to be part of the DCEU, but that does imply DC has something planned for the Metal Men in the future, thanks to Will Magnus being confirmed to appear in Creature Commandos.
Think Outlaws are also very likely with Red Hood, Red Arrow, Artemis, Bizarro and maybe Rose Wilson Ravager. Think they fit in great to the DCU being a team of outcasts and rejects even among other heroes and will serve as a more interesting version of the Authority due to being far more well known with more fun characters. I think it would work really well as a dark gritty tv show something a bit like Penguin or the first season of the Boys focusing on the heroes struggling with their own methods and personal trauma ie (Jason's death, Roy's drug abuse, Artemis's regection as a hero by the amazons and mans world, Bizarros imposter syndrome and Rose struggling to move out of fathers evil legacy.) Think this is likely as Jason is probably "dead" as the Batfam is already formed and Red hood could be the second brave and the bold film. Roy could be established in the Titans project same with Rose Wilson. Artemis is probably going to be in Paradise lost if not the Banna Mandal Amazons will be witch basically serves as set up. And lastly if Superman really does have Ultraman as a secondary clone villain then if in the film he breaks down he can become Bizarro or at least show the cloning lab where Bizarro is created.
I really hope they introduce atleast the YJ era characters. Even though they’re often forgotten in comics nowadays they’re still very important characters that honestly without them the newer generation of heroes wouldn’t be the same. Even though they’re locked in the basement at DC studios, debuting in these movies could open up a whole new lane for them in mainstream comics(and if Tim debuts plz give him a new identity that’s not Red Robin so the comics can just adapt that PLEASE). Overall…just let me have my babies pls!!!!
0:53 The New 52 did not put heroes 5 years into their future, there wasn't any timeskip in basically any of the titles. The heroes actually *lost* 5 years of their history (iirc this is said in Doomsday Clock) and have been around for about 5 years in it. (Which suggests they had been around for 10 years before the reboot, which I don't think is true, so idk how that works)
With Stagg building and getting 2 out of 4 already in Superman i really hope that one of the unannounced projects of chapter 1 is for THE TERRIFICS!! 🤔🙏

Batman: the Brave and the Bold made me love the Metal Men!
I am awake and I have found the broccoli 🥦
Only W opinions🔥
Squabble up🎉
need him to give a dc movie the black panther soundtrack treatment. maybe brave and the bold since he’s such a big prince fan.
Could you also do one for supervillain teams like the Legion of Doom, the Rogues, the Sinestro Corps, etc?

Yeah they def put Batman on there to make people watch the movie lol
New Gods could be the DCU’s guardians of the galaxy equivalent a team that the public doesn’t have much knowledge about but fall in love with the team
Video idea: Which members from each family will appear?
Like the one you did with the Batfam but with the rest of DC heroes
Yo in the vid you were asking what you could do to make it better but you got the best vids on comics I’ve seen fr everyone else brings in random ass bs nobody wants to hear
If the jld are in gunn's dcu,I want them to name the team"the shadowpact".
Yes,I know that's the name of dc's first magical team.

I really hope Bart Allen is in the DCU he’s my favorite DC character
When you've finished this, do another series with your preferred members/iteration of each team
My Dream DCU Teams:
Justice League (Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Hawkgirl)
Outsiders (Nightwing, Geo Force, Starfire, Metamorpho, Windfall)
The Outlaws (Red Hood, Arsenal, Bizarro, Artemis)
Birds of Prey (Black Canary, Big Barda, Power Girl, Vixen, Zealot)
Some long form contents so I can listen more at work🏃💨
I really hope they introduce atleast the YJ era characters. Even though they’re often forgotten in comics nowadays they’re still very important characters that honestly without them the newer generation of heroes wouldn’t be the same.

part 2 lets go
Really enjoyed the video and would love to see many of the teams you mentioned featured prominently in this new DCU.

Shit, I am very sorry. I never wanna be that guy, yes I will not bring up anymore
The metalmens should be a 3D animateur movie like big hero 6
The Terrifics could be AMAZING in film
Do you think you could do a video on possible famous runs Gunn can use as inspiration for his universe as it starts?
Probably not that specifically, but storylines I want adapted to the dcu is another video I’m writing
1. The Trenchcoat Brigade
2. Challengers Of The Unknown
3. The Terrifics
4. The Seven Soldiers
5. The Blackhawks
Who do I have to unalive over at DC to get a live action Condiment King appearance in The Batman 2?
Is it possible we could see super sons?
Huge fan of your videos keep grinding but bro everyone of your videos you start by saying “So”😂😂
@@klivertmanny5994 lmao I noticed this yesterday will editing, yikes 🤣

Metal men have practically been confirmed from Ep3 of Creature Commandos
Can’t wait!
Can you discuss obscure comics that you want adapted in the dcu?
Any chance we get the watchmen you think? I’m not super familiar on them
Nah. The watchmen are outside dc continuity in their own seperate universe. There’s one story where they crossover but it’s kind of a mixed bag. I’d honestly prefer they stay in their corner because bringing them into the universe makes them super underpowered (besides Manhattan) and they definitely work better standalone anyway. If you’re not familiar I definitely reccomend, it’s one of those books I wish I could read for the first time again.
@ oh ok I gotcha thank you!
If I made a dc universe these will be the teams I would include
1# Justice League
2# Teen Titans
3# Creature Commandos
4# Suicide Squad
5# Justice League Dark
6# Metal Man
I wanted to include one other team like Doom Petrol but that would bring it up to seven teams and that would be to much.
ballasck fortrintge superhero team w/ill appear in teh dcu
.
Can always count on tykristjanson7297 to have a comment that makes no sense
Give me Alexander Skarsgaard as Constantine
Do u think they could do a live action new gods for cheap?
@@gothice666 honestly, definitely not. Idk why I even threw that out there cus the budget would definitely be massive. Animation would probably be best.
The young justice team has the cooperate dei problem working against them
THE NEW GODS SHOULD BE AS MAJOR AS THANOS (of marvel mcu) IF NOT MORE!!!! Have the traditional timeline and a New Gods timeline - Anything can be turned into an epic with enough work but somethings were crafted to be epics - THAT IS THE NEW GODS!
I think Constantine should only be played by Matt Ryan
Ur telling me theres a bat mite possibility⁉️
I doubt we get Young Justice because they've all been on the Titans and thats just the more popular franchise. It reminds me alot of Marvel's Champions, another team with a dumb generic name that came between other young teams and was forgotten to time because they're the less popular franchise.

What about shazam family? I think they're the worst
Doesn't matter. Any 1 of them has enough potential to make better animation than Marvel 😂😂😂😂
WWWWW
The only Superhero teams I know of are JL, Suicide Squad, and Doom Patrol. Justice League Dark is just dumb.
2:10 I hope its shadowpact, "justice league dark" is a lame title that doesn't have all that much to do with magic
Obviously, the worst teams
