Thanks a lot! Just for note: Chevrolet, Buick and Saturn are all the same model for 2006. I have a 2006 Saturn Relay 3. I was pretty sure that all I had to do was pull the pin and take off the 10mm bolt, but your input about the seal getting stuck is what saved the day. I couldn't figure out how to get it out otherwise. Thanks again!
Awesome! I was ready to scream because I couldn't get the assembly to come out. But you showing the rubber seal getting stuck, and just needing to pull it out; helps to watch someone else, so I know I'm not going to break it. Thanks a ton.
Thank you so much for this video. I almost paid $185+ at a repair shop to replace ONE headlight. You made the process so easy to follow, Thank You for saving me $$$$!!!
Happened to be the same setup as a Buick Terraza. Thanks. I was able to change my bulb in about 5 minutes after watching this video. Newly single mom of 3 learning as I go...
Thanks much for this video. I was stumped and a bit worried about breaking something on my first attempt at taking out the light assembly; seeing this video let me see that it really is a case of it being that stubborn to remove.
Thanks for the video. It was great help. My head light was stuck in the right side. But because of your video I could pull so nicely. Great help. Really appreciate it.
Your video just saved me from a potential police ticket! Busted my headlight while driving. This definitely helped me a lot. I own a 2005 Chevy Uplander, by the way. Pretty much the same procedure though, thanks goodness.
Muchas gracias amigo, no podía quitar el faro de mi camioneta uplander 2005 lado chofer y con tu vídeo lo pude hacer. Saludos desde Aguascalientes México
Outstanding video. Much appreciation for the day share. Mechanics wouldn't even consider it and with your help I completed the job. Blessings, and best regards to you and yours.
This was so helpful, worked the same for my 2007 Montana SV6. The hardest part is pulling the headlight assembly out, you really do have to be stubborn with it. If you use a screwdriver to pry up and remove the pin holding the front grill cover (at 1:32, just to the left of the wrench, middle of the the picture), it makes getting the rubber gasket out of the way a bit easier. Tip for a cold day -- you can disconnect the power to the assembly and take the whole thing indoors to replace the bulb in comfort.
+dooleyfan Hi, is the pin reusable? Same setup on a 2009 Montana, have to remove to change the turn signal bulb. It seems as if the corner of the front clip could snap off.
+zapcan59 You pry the pin out from above. Just pop a screwdriver underneath the head of the pin. It should come out very easily -- if it doesn't, you're not prying up the right pin. It should be a hard plastic pin, and it's coming out of a plastic housing. If you see at 1:32, there are two things sticking up to the left of the wrench. You should be prying the one up toward the front of the van, near the grill. (56 goldtop, wow).
+Doug Telfer He bought it new, $330 Can. with the case, while making 90 cents an hour, not much change if you consider a $10.00 minimum wage & a $3000 guitar. He was smart & kept his guitars & banjo.
Thanks for this video! I was changing my gf's 2007 uplander lights but wasn't familiar with Chevy's. this video was a great help and so didn't have to take off the entire front housing lol. Also the tip about not touching the glass part of the bulb was also very helpful! Thank you from "violinmagicdj"
thank you for this, I had to change both sides and it took me a total of about ten minutes. Took me longer to wash my hands almost. I owe you a beer ; )
i got home last night and when i looked at it i thought god how much is the shop gonna charge for changing the lights, THANKS for the clip it was the best. BJ
Clint - You really do a good job of explaining how to replace a bulb in an Uplander. Only one suggestion. Your radio playing in the background is very annoying and destroys an otherwise very good presentation. Can the music my friend and you'll have an excellent video.
Thank you so much Clint Frazier for your detailed and clear description of changing the headlight bulbs, much appreciated!!

+zapcan59 Hi, yes it is reusable. Just pry it up with a screwdriver and put it to the side, you can reinsert it easily. BTW, nice Les Paul icon!
+Doug Telfer Thanks, do you pry the pin out above the front clip or below? The Les Paul is actually a picture of my fathers 56 goldtop.
