We moved from Maine to Indianapolis back in 1994. My husband at the time, went looking for a phone as we had forgotten one box which contained the phone, answering machine and other items. He wasn't gone long before he came home and said come on, you aren't going to believe the store I just found. It was Meijer. We and our kids walked in the front door and we're blown away by the amount of registers there were (over 20). I could not picture a store that was a Walmart and a grocery store in one. A year before moving, we got our Walmart. Meijer was way better than Walmart, Target and even Kohl's combined. I miss it as in 1998 we moved back to Maine.
I used to live in Northwest Ohio and we had Meijer. We live in AZ now and I really miss Meijer.
I moved from VT to MI years ago and was also blown away with Miejer. I pretty much only shopped there for the 8 plus years I lived there. Now I’m back in VT just dreaming that we could ever have something close to that store . 😢

I miss Meijer as well!! Grew up in OH, moved to WA 12 years ago.

If you put a bounce unscented dryer sheet in each section of your luggage when you store it, your clothes won’t get that weird suitcase smell when you travel.

If you’ve never made pizza using that store-bought naan, I highly recommend it! It’s a super quick easy dinner, just add sauce, toppings, and shredded mozzarella and bake for about 10 minutes at 400. We cut them into quarters and it’s been a favorite quick dinner in my family for years!

I bought the Conair steamer/iron after your previous video when you were at Costco and pointed it out. It is AMAZING!🥰 I had a new comforter on my bed which was very wrinkled. The steamer worked her magic! Noosa yogurt is the only yogurt I'll eat. It's almost like pudding. 👍🏻
The noosa honey yogurt with granola and blackberries added in is AMAZING. With a little drizzle of honey on top. 👩🍳💋
I may have commented this once before but when you roast brussel sprouts in balsamic, roast red or black grapes right along side, same tray. They are even better that way, I'm telling you it's absolutely amazing!

So, don't know if you're gonna see this but when you started talking about brussel sprouts, I remember when I cooked them for dinner one night (long ago in a land far far away)...he looked at me like I had grown 3 heads...He said that he didn't like brussel sprouts and I told him to trust me. I make amazing tasting brussel sprouts... he took a bite and he said, "Oh wow! They don't taste like they've been cooked to death and not acidy!" I won him over. 😂

We had the same issue with our under-the-bed storage and so we just got those super inexpensive bed risers to raise the bed a couple inches :)

Chicken and vegetable broth to make a nice warm noodle soup is one of the best things ever, in winter it is one of my favorite foods 😋 oh, man, eating (well) is one of the major pleasures in life, haha!
there was a restaurant that did blueberry and cinnamon milkshakes. at first, that didn't sound like it would go together, but it became one of my new favorite combos, so I always sprinkle some on when I add blueberries to yogurt or cream. might make a good addition to your dessert

Here’s a tip!!! If you question whether the shirt fits, hold it up and lay it across your chest. If the ends of the shirt underneath the sleeves are aligned with where your armpits, it’s a good fit for you. If it goes past your armpits then it’s too big. Too tight then it’ll be a slim fit on you. Works for me when the dressing rooms were closed.

Our grocery store offers curbside and delivery. I can't usually justify the delivery charge, but I pretty much exclusively use curbside. It saves me so much money because I don't get anything not on my list!
Brussel sprouts in the airfryer with sweet chili sauce is a game changer. I cook very similar to you guys and finally gave into an airfryer, never looking back!

Hey Jess! Longtime watcher, hardly ever comment. But I was hoping you would do a video about your pre and post workout things. I feel like I never know what to do with myself if I want to throw a workout in- what jewelry comes off? Do I take my makeup off first? Wash my hair right after? Is it bad to drink ice cold water after? I dunno these are the things I always ponder as I see people who workout regularly in random parts of the day.

So I'm a UK viewer with maybe a weird question (to anyone!). I see a lot of US YT'ers who have their comforter (we call it a duvet!) with no cover on. Is this what people do in the US? (no judgement at all, I'm just curious! I only recently found out a lot of Americans don't have a kettle and it still blows my mind, I digress). In the UK we always put our duvets in a cover, and then regularly wash the cover with the sheet and pillowcases, like each week etc.

I have the toiletry bag that LS recommended. I really like that 2nd zipper. It’s at the bottom whenever the bag is laid flat, but you can put the bottles in upside down so when the bag is closed all your stuff is right side up. I hope that makes sense 😂

Jessica, I like what you did with the mantle. One thing I would try is a taller mirror to take up the negative space and elongate the mantle wall. Kind of the idea when you hang draperies high. Just a thought.
Pro tip--roast brussel sprouts with the "everything but the elote" seasoning from Trader Joe's. My new favorite way to eat them. sometimes I also roast them with some red onions and peppers and then eat it with some turkey kilbasa over quinoa or rice with a sauce of your choice. Delicious.

We recently upgraded to a king size bed and I don’t know why we didn’t do it sooner!
Cool concept on the pillows but I'd feel those zippers. Nice bedding is so worth it. We invested in the luxome bamboo sheets and comforter and are in love. Whatever works for each person, but good bedding is so worth it.

Add some of those foam pads or risers under each of your bed frame legs to raise the height of your bed enough that your underbed storage containers will slide under. I know … you’re past suggestions by the time you post, but for anyone else with the problem.

I have the toiletries bag with the zippers at the top and bottom! I didn’t think I’d use the bottom zipper, but I actually do sometimes (for shorter bottles). The stuff doesn’t just come rolling out. Also, it has a great amount of storage! Anyway, highly recommend 😂🎉

"Because I'm a monster." 🤣 I bought these clear and white plastic drawers from the container store for under the bed, they're short enough that I can stack 2 (because my bed frame is a little higher) but they might also work for you. They carry the same ones on Amazon.
I keep forgetting to buy that steamer, it sounds awesome! And I love the gray slippers.
I've bought other travel toiletry bags to try over the years, but I always always go back to the L.L.Bean hanging toiletry bag in small or medium. They're just so good (at least for my preferences) and they last a long time.
I also still think ettitude makes the softest sheets and pillowcases I've ever tried. I went through a ton trying to find a good replacement for my favorite discontinued bedding after a house fire in 2019.
I like my béis luggage a lot, but I will say I can fit way more in my away luggage, plus it's a little lighter in weight. Although from what I've seen, the quality may not be as good lately.
Could you do a self tanning tutorial? I just ordered some to try for the first time ever and I'm so scared and everyone I see does it a little differently but I really trust you!!

Re the under the bed storage, wouldn’t it be easier to just buy a riser under the bed to raise the bed higher so they do fit? It would be much easier than trying to find smaller containers seeing as you know that the size you have is the right size to hold all your stuff. Just a thought 😊
