After a state fair in 2008 in Sedalia Missouri, ticks were really bad that year. It was the humans that suffered not the animals. Rocky Mountain spotted tick fever and other branches of Lyme disease came through our emergency room at Lake Regional and several other hospitals across the state. I am so glad to see how well you take care of your animals. Thank you for loving them so much bc it protects the public too
I love it! I've never owned Nigerian dwarf goats, but I did have some wonderful Nubian and Alpines. I showed my colt I raised and got 2nd place. He was a registered quarter horse, I was so proud of him. I had show worthy goats but never got to show them because I couldn't get their papers. That seems like only a couple years ago, but it was at least 25 years ago. I'll live vicariously through your journey with your beautiful girls. I wish I had given the cheese making a go, but it's a bit late for regrets. Keep breeding for improving the offspring from the good goats you have and you will be rewarded. Make more videos, I don't tire of watching them, I look forward to each one.

So, i’ve never showed goats before but I’ve showed a cow and i’m currently showing a pig right now and it has completely opened me up to the world of showing livestock and animals. when i watched your show videos before i started showing livestock, i had no idea what you were talking about but now i do. honestly, i think the placings you get depends on the preference of the judge because each one is different, and you never know what a judge will do. i am honestly so proud of raven and i am thrilled that you got grand champion for your cajeta and caramel! congrats to all of you.

I actually got to judge halter horses and a western pleasure class which was really cool. Especially to see how it works both with looking for the ideal structures and even to how to word our reasons for why we placed each animal.
When I was in high school back in the seventies we had a class called HHA I think but we used to love to go see the goats the pigs and the horses I had a nephew who had a pig but the shows at the school I always attended and of course I love the rodeo I'm 64 now and can't go so thanks for your video... 💕
I find shows interesting. I've been to cat shows, dog shows, bird shows, and of course the farm shows. They all have their good interesting parts and their boring non interesting parts. I think you showed the highlights of the interesting parts. LOL It is very interesting to hear the judges reasoning for the choices. You learn so much! Thanks for sharing.
Congratulations on your wins. As far as showing your goats goes, yes it’s fun to win, but as you acknowledged, there’s more to it that just winning. You get to evaluate your goats through the eyes of others, you spend quality time with your goats, and you and the goats get to be mentally stimulated from the change of pace.
