  • Picked up a step up transformer for charging my ‪@KTM_Canada‬ Freeride at the race track, works perfectly. Now I’ll be able to charge q u i e t l y instead of bringing the welder or conventional generator to the Offroad Ontario races. Getting pumped for the 70th anniversary CORDUROY ENDURO.

    I would recommend a 5000W inverter

Thanks for posting this. I just tried the vevor 3000w step up and it tripped the breaker in my panel. Can you please tell me which vevor step up you have also are you just running a standard 15amp breaker in your panel?

Did you charge on normal or fast? I would probably only charge at normal mode.

Ive tried 3 different ones. A 5000 like John uses in the other video plus a 3000 of the same style and the one in this video. I have a 15amp breaker but it seems impossible for anyone actually making it work to tell you the size of the breaker they are using lol ???

@@Hellohihellohihellohi1 Maybe try a 20 amp breaker. Don't use fast charge. Try a different circuit in your house.

Yes tried normal charge on all of the converters and the only one that had a chance was the 3000w which did charge for 5 mins at the most before tripping my breaker which was on its own circuit with nothing else running from it. Also tried a few other circuits with the same results. I have 220 in my garage so Im fine charging at home. Installing a dedicated 20amp would be no use for me at home. I was only trying to get it charging off 120v so I can charge away from home from anywhere that had 120v available which are mostly 15amps which is standard here in Canada. I was also messing around with it on 15amps hoping it would work so others can do the same as anyone who has made it work are not stating what size breaker they are using

@@Hellohihellohihellohi1 It could possibly be the home wiring is too small of a guage. I would try an outlet somewhere else.
