"Ten no Haoh," also known as "Hokuto no Ken: Raoh Gaiden" or "Fist of the North Star: Raoh Side Story," is a captivating and compelling manga and anime series that delves into the complex character of Raoh, a formidable warrior known as the Conqueror of the Heavens. Created by Buronson and illustrated by Tetsuo Hara, "Ten no Haoh" serves as a captivating spin-off of the iconic "Hokuto no Ken" (Fist of the North Star) franchise.
At the heart of "Ten no Haoh" lies the story of Raoh, one of the most enigmatic figures in the "Hokuto no Ken" universe. A warlord of incredible strength and ambition, Raoh's quest for power and dominion sets him on a path that diverges from his brother Kenshiro, the protagonist of the original series. Raoh's journey is one of relentless determination, self-discovery, and the pursuit of a vision-his vision for a world ruled by strength and order.
The narrative of "Ten no Haoh" unveils the events and encounters that shape Raoh's destiny, offering viewers a deeper understanding of his complex character. As Raoh faces formidable opponents, makes alliances, and confronts his own inner demons, the series explores themes of power, responsibility, and the consequences of one's actions. Raoh's imposing presence and unwavering resolve make him a compelling antihero, a character whose path to power is both tragic and awe-inspiring.
Visually, "Ten no Haoh" maintains the high standard of art and action that fans of "Hokuto no Ken" have come to expect. The series is known for its intense martial arts battles, dramatic confrontations, and striking character designs. Raoh's iconic helmet and cape, as well as his steed Kokuoh, are visual symbols that have become synonymous with the character and the series.
"Teno no Haoh" is more than just a spin-off; it's a deep exploration of the "Hokuto no Ken" universe, offering fans a fresh perspective on a beloved character. It's a testament to the enduring legacy of the franchise and its ability to continue captivating audiences with its rich storytelling, complex characters, and epic battles.
Whether you're a longtime fan of "Hokuto no Ken" or new to the world of martial arts and post-apocalyptic adventures, "Ten no Haoh" is a series that promises a gripping and immersive experience-one that delves into the heart and soul of a warrior whose name strikes fear into the hearts of all who hear it: Raoh, the Conqueror of the Heavens.

Raoh's determination to make the World a Kinder and Gentler Place even if he must PERSONALLY rip out the throats of EVERY Demon in it with his bare hands has permanently earned My Respect for this Great Man and Great Warrior.
I don't think Raoh cares about making the world a kinder or gentler place. He wants to rule it through fear.
If you watched (or read) through the entire Hokuto No Ken, you will find it is quite capable of subtle emotions, Overt Hamminess Notwithstanding.
Raoh has quite a lot of honorable and humanizing traits, such as being able to show respect for bravery and honor, not to mention having the distinction of being the ONLY Tyrant in the post-Apocalyptic World to have NEVER struck or dishonored a woman, as well as despising those who dare to do so.
Take note of how when he realized the motorcycle band he encountered in Episode One was flying the dress of a young girl they raped (and most likely murdered), he *butchered* them in a manner that is cruel even by Hukoto Shinken standards.
When he briefly vanished to recover from wounds battling Kenshiro, his men returned to their murdering raping ways, and the subjects he supposedly enslaved *openly* declared that life under the rule of Raoh *himself* was free of such cruelty.
The "Tyrant", upon finding out of the atrocities in his absence, LITERALLY slapped the head off the lead rapist and rode his stallion over his accomplices. Such is his chivalrous hatred towards cowardly bullies.
Raoh DOES want a world of peace and happiness, but tragically he tried to achieve it through the only way he knew how; through brutal destruction.
That's true. I know that Raoh is very honorable and even punishes those who commit acts of violence under his name and that he does want peace. But ruling through fear means that no one will oppose him and if anyone tries to disrupt that peace should he obtain it will be killed.
Yes, Raoh has honor and even some degree of kindness, but he doesn't really have other people interests in mind.

I disagree even though this is like 6 years ago, you have to remember Raoh is a character that changes quite a lot throughout his life, you can see in a flashback in the anime Raoh tells Toki about his heart changing over time when Jagi tells both of them about Kenshiro, he tells Toki to stop him if he goes too far (or something along those lines).
In HnK 2 you see Raoh in a flashback really cared about Shachi in terms of growing the next generation but over time he became more conflicted, there was a ton of things how his character changed and evolved.
@@tehcookievanilla1323 And the coolest part about Raoh to me imo is that he also has a son named Ryu, wouldn't be awesome to see a manga spinoff about him someday? cause' I think it would've been awesome.
"You thought a person who only knows how to hide behind others could touch me when fully enveloped in chi?"
Ha. Huge Hokuto no Ken fan here, genuinely loved this prequel, it was written by the original authors though, so no surprises there. Everything is accurate as well, with some added information!
Nothing beats HnK's soundtrack, but I loved this one as well.
I can just picture myself as my Devilman or Kinnkuman persona playing the guitar to do an epic guitar solo to this catchy song XD
That final KENSHIRO!!!! 😢👊👊👊👊⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A friend of mine said that this song is fitting for a rallying cry...and I agree; I can actually see Raoh giving a badass speech to this song.
+Chris Lee At some point within the show's series, I believe he does make a speech with this music playing in the background
+Odega dynamite He does it a few times.
"Join me or be pounded into dust. End of speech."

The girl characters were unnecessary.
Well, I'm pretty neutral over them but I think your toxic elitism is unnecessary lol.
@@kinnikuman-devilman_fan_2002 Toxic elitism? I'm expressing an opinion. Those girl characters added nothing to this scene except being pretty, and interrupting a fight in the dumbest way possible.
Also that last girl should have exploded from the force.
This was the only good thing to come out of this god-forsaken anime.
You sound like a Geewunner when you say stuff like that, you know that? lol.
