Love farmers market everything fresh vegetables 🥰
Yes, wish we had them all year long! 😊
We lost power for ~12 hours. Most everything in the fridge is being tossed out. Including veggies.
Ohh no.. that’s horrible! Hubby bought back up generator last year just in case. Luckily we haven’t need to open it yet. That storm was pretty bad. I should have recorded it!
@@minnesotaphatfoodies T just got done pouring lots and lots of bottles of stuff down the disposal. Including oyster sauce, fish sauce, kewpie, eel sauce, etc. The Sriracha will be okay though.
@@warrenj3204 😭😭😭
I actually prefer small onions. I rarely use a whole huge onion at once and the leftover portion quickly goes bad in the fridge. Can't buy single small onions anywhere. Only large bags of them.
@@warrenj3204 me too. Usually like small onions but when making Pho, I like the big ones. Makes the broth sweeter!
@@warrenj3204 good thing onion stores well.
@@minnesotaphatfoodies If I keep them in the basement they last maybe 2 weeks.
@@minnesotaphatfoodies Yes! I love the sweetness of the onions in pho broth. But if it's a sandwich I want sharp pungent raw onions. White or purple.
@@warrenj3204 I’ll have to see how long the ones I leave on the corner on my counter last. Seems like 3-4 weeks?
When do they have that Dragon Star farmer's market? The closest farmer's market to us is Hopkins and it's kind of sad. Minneapolis one is often too busy.
@@warrenj3204 they have one every summer. There’s actually one at SunFoods also. There’s a small one in Champlin’s and Brooklyn Center and Brooklyn’s Park also. Minneapolis is way too busy and I hate parking there!
@@minnesotaphatfoodiesThe one at North Hennepin Community College is tomorrow (Wed)! I'll be working up there so I'll try to swing by.
So you know if this is weekly event every Sunday (or whatever day)?
@@stephaniedo9424 seems like they open every weekend until it gets too cold. I’m assuming they should be today and then again next Saturday/Sunday. I would go early since they can close when sold out?
"He-pa-ha-chua"? A Hmong "hello"?
Edit: My own research suggests it's not.
Lol.. It’s “Ib kos pes tsawg”.. translated word for word is “one item how much”
@@minnesotaphatfoodies When I pronounce what you wrote it sounds nothing like what Hubby said. 🤣
@@warrenj3204 seriously.. the spelling sounds nothing like how you say it at all.
