      Thank you, Tracy. Honestly, I don't feel very "fearless" most of the time. :-) However, the process of teaching our class has helped me step beyond my comfort zone a bit. Thanks for being a part of that. :-)

    Thank you for this wonderful tutorial. I loved the way you painted colors that were still wet next to each other and not worrying about the bleeding and the value teaching. Just what I needed to loosen up.

    Some serious teaching going on in this tutorial and I really appreciate that. Thanks for the gray scale tip too to check in keeping with the real values of light and dark there.

    How to decide the background color?

      In this painting I chose greens and yellow since that would be a realistic color choice. However you could also choose a complementary color to orange -- which is blue.
