Nice job on your realistic painting with Shelley Prior. She's one of my favorites. I've been watching her for years. I just finished your lesson on Mt Shuksan. I really appreciate all the lessons you provide on your website. Now, you are one of my favorites 😍 thanks so much for sharing and inspiring me.
Thank you for introducing this beautiful brush! I don’t have any brushes from the Aqua Elite series yet, but I use the Neptune series for almost every painting. How does it compare to the Neptune Quill? I’ve been thinking about giving it a try.

Thank you, I am very tempted to get this brush, but every pointed synthetic brush I have develops a hook on the tip. My sable brushes don’t do that. I baby my brushes and I never stab the point in to the paint. Is there something I can do to prevent this, or is it just the nature of the beast?
@@KrisDeBruineStudio Wait! Are you saying all brushes need to be stored flat or just quills? I just spent over $200 for a beautiful wooden holder that stores all of my brushes upright. I dry them slightly slanted forward to keep moisture out of the ferrule and then stand them on their handles the next day. Please elaborate.
@@KrisDeBruineStudio After I rinse them, I lay them at an angle on a towel until completely dry, usually for a day, and then I store them upright in my brush holder. I'm glad your Princeton brushes don't develop hooks, now I'm even more tempted, thank you!

Hi. The Aqua Elite mimics a sable brush. Therefore it is stiffer and holds a sharper point. The Neptune's mimic squirrel hair which is softer.

I have had the same thing happen,,it's so annoying! I'm almost tempted to snip it off but then there goes all the point 😢
Hmmm. Well, I've actually never had that happen with my Princeton brushes. I'm not sure how to advise you. I'm assuming you are storing them flat...

@@jeanneminton5226 That's how I do it too, to keep the moisture out of the ferrule, I think you're doing it right.
The brush is sold out on the link.😢
I took a closer look. It looks like Blick has some in stock. Same price. amzn.to/4gjTka7
