  • One of our plant hire customers reported a skip loader dumper stolen after a burglary. The Automatrics MTrack was put into alarm to report a cell site just north of Leighton Buzzard. A local finder was dispatched as no GPS signal was reported, this indicated either a GPS jammer or that the machine had been blocked from GPS satellite view. After several hours of radio finding by the local finder Automatrics sent a second finder team. After the finders meet up they worked together to home-in on the tracking unit GSM and RF signals, and within 20 minutes they confirmed the signal was emanating from a small truck park. The target area was on private land with a closed gate entry. They could not progress further with the search to view the asset without police support. Bedfordshire police sent three specialist burglary offices in two vehicles to the truck yard. The dumper was found inside of what remained of a lorry. The police questioned a resident adjacent to the find area and recovered the dumper for forensic testing.

Absolutely. We complain about the taxes we pay, but a non-trivial part of it is due to these twits. Clean 'em out and remove the opportunity for them to ever have a certification of trust such as a bond. They will be shovelling sh*t for ever after that. Make it public. BTW they can do the same thing with tax cheats as well.

I don't know the law in that area but where I live if you have stolen property on YOUR land, YOU are responsible unless you can prove otherwise. It's called, "being in possession of stolen property". So, if the landowner claims it's someone else's then he needs to find out who's truck that was. lol

All you Brits complaining about your cops doing nothing. At least you don't have to worry about a cop shooting you in the back and claiming he feared for his life. You don't have to worry about a cop pulling you over for speeding (when you weren't and your GPS shows you weren't) him falsifying the radar, and then shooting you for showing him your GPS record. You don't have to worry about cops planting drugs and guns on you when you're arrested for standing in your own front yard. You don't have to worry about cops raiding your house looking for drug dealers, shooting your teenage daughter, and then admitting they had not only the wrong house number, but the wrong street as well. All of these things happen on a weekly basis here in the US.
