From St Paul Minnesota! Of course I love Montana that's the greatest state in the world I love North Dakota and South Dakota but I love when you walk in the Alps or anybody walks in the Alps but you do and I watch him over and over again thank you keep up the good work and don't pay any attention to the negativity it's all around us we can't do much about it
I am always surprised when people say they enjoy the comments even though so many say so. Glad you enjoyed them too. Lucky to since I can’t seem to be quiet.😁 - H
My family visited Medora a number of years ago and really enjoyed the town. We especially loved our visit to the Chateau and learning about the Marquis. We had spent the night before in Keystone, South Dakota, and when we left the motel the manager asked where we were headed. When we said Medora, he said, "That's a happening little town!" I'll always remember that. Thanks for sharing your walk.
👣Hello Henry, a beautiful day in a beautiful historical town for a walk. Enjoyed the music some of my favorites, and all the historical information you provided. Hopefully, you all had a wonderful dinner🙂
I'm getting a little upset, Henry. You keep visiting such interesting little towns that the Epic Western Road Trip I'm planning for next year is getting longer and longer! 🤣 Medora looks so charming. 🙂 - Pam from Tucson, AZ
Hi @Zhyar Weshayar, I hope you get the chance to do that. It's a big place with a lot of different regions and variety in the culture. All the best to you. -H
I live in Fargo and was in medora last weekend for vacation ,I pretty much did everything there except ride the horses bc they were booked ,Soo beautiful there going back next summer for sure ,the zipline was fun but scary ,you get a great view tho
Hi Henry. I was recently listening to an old Agatha Christie audiobook, and one of the characters talks about taking walks and says "I just put one foot in front of the other and wonder about things.". A simple yet perfect way of describing a walk, and a pretty good description of City Walks. Thanks for this walk. Medora is quaint and pretty and seems welcoming to tourists. I recently read River of Doubt, which tells the story of Teddy Roosevelt's exploration of the Amazon, and his work as a naturalist. The man certainly deserves a national park. Hope all is well with you.
He's a fascinating figure. I haven't read River of Doubt but I've read Edwin Morriss' s trilogy which is quite good. I'm seeing more and more articles about how good walking is for us, physically and mentally. Thanks as always for your support. -H
I went on this walk today. It was over sooner than I thought. I had not noticed your social justice topics. I probably have more because of the electric bikes and scooters that pop up everywhere. This was an interesting place. Before I forget, I watcched an old Tammy Wynette movie and she got to sing at the Grand Ol' Opry in Nashville. Just FYI. Sometimes I am amazed that I walked all over Europe at your lead. Thanks. Hope you enjoyed your steak.
I worked for a mouse for full time for 11 years and freelance for another 8. I can say that this is a little too touristy for me. It does appear to be a nice little town though. The Medora musical kind of reminds me of the Tecumseh show in Ohio.
Took me a minute to realize what you meant. Yeah, it's definitely tourist but not nearly as bad as Deadwood and some other places. I Haven't seen the Tecumseh show in Ohio but I've heard of it. Thanks for watching -H
I just recently watched a video by Catherine Gregory where she did a hike at Maroon Bells in Colorado. Have you ever been there? The video was fairly short but the views are spectacular. Please check it out. Her website is CatherineGregoryAdventures.com.
