In order to save space, I usually do not repurchase cars in different scales, but the SLR being one of my favorite supercars, and disappointed by my 1/24 Motormax's quality, I just had to. In this review I'll show you all the details and features of the bigger, 1/18 Maisto version.
Pros:
perforated side scoops
tail light details
engine painted well
wheels
Cons:
tail light pegs
engine lacks depth

Maisto did a good job with this model. They also made models of the concept versions of the SLR, the Vision SLR coupe and roadster. Their roadster concept model has the same wheels as this version.
I love my blue Maisto SLR, and its surprising that they've got the rim size right, which was lacking from the more expensive CMC version
Great review mate! I had this one in black. I even have a video on my channel.
I love the long bonet (i’m looking for another one from a better brand now)
Nice model, but I prefer the SLS. The Design looks better than the SLR. But thats my opinion. :)
nice review
i have the blue one and the gt spirit model
The king of diecast is back....YAY!!
I have the same model, but since I started collecting only high-end, I thought I would go for the cmc, but I found a black from frontiart fully open, in my opinion it looks way better than the cmc.
Now, this one is F.I.N.E. FINE! Good decision to repurchase ... and 1/18 is even better...
I used to have this in blue but decided to sell it off because I didn't like the way the hood scratches against the headlamps
ferrari 599 review 🤔
Nice cars and great models 👍
Very in-depth review! Thanks!
Great review and sweet Benz. Maisto has stepped up there game even with some of their 1/64 stuff. BTW I do content on rare diecast muscle cars and trucks( mostly 64's) maybe you might want to check it out and we can trade subs to help each other out. Thanks for sharing
The thing I don’t like maisto is a lot of their models do not have windows. I really hope AUTOart can make this model, and I can’t see why they don’t. Since the CMC one is so expensive. I kind of giving up to collect this SLR
i'm actually thinking about trying to create car windows myself by using a precision knife and cutting flat and even transparent plastic blister displays that come with some household items (a simple example i can think of right now are the large transparent boxes used for cakes) into the shape that will fit into the window frames.
Is always You're so in death reviews are so good ❗👍👍👍 you reviews make me have a better decisions on buying a model car.. I like when you cut off to show parts of the real car 👍. I'm sure a lot of people to see your videos are inspired to purchase that particular car that should be viewing on RUclips I'm one of those....
Thanks so much for the feedback. Really appreciate it 😊
How about active spoilers your forgot
maisto's SLS AMG has that feature, but not this SLR.
But i saw the patterns
This is one good diecast review. Can I ask where you bought the display turntable at 3:28 ?
thanks! I got it from ck modelcars, just search for "Mirrored turntable display" there
@@ImperialDiecast Where can i get this Model?
@@SandeepKPushpala the maisto slr mclaren should still be easily available on ebay. but keep in mind it's an old model, so it'll often be 2nd hand, just like mine is.
@@ImperialDiecast Alright thanks!
There is the silver metallic one with red-black interieur to, the one I just bought (without box sadly) Just one seat is strangely colorized in light brown for half, thats sad , didnt see it when I bought it. I never intended to uy the Maisto one, because I own the CMC version, but sudenly it was in front my eyes and I was impressed, I took it and looked under the model to see the brand, almost thinking it to be a CMC LOL, but obvious not because no front door windows. But men Maisto made some nice 1/18 scale models back early 2000's. They where almost correct on scale for the whole body shape. Crazy , full open diecast and looks Ok in a display cas and you can get them in the 20's (without box) It really looks a premium model if you put it under cover on display leather base , especially nice on light brwon/beige leather. From a distance you think its an minichamps or CMC somehow. EVen the interior looks quiet good, the texture of different leather patterns is awesome, looks more real then my CMC with the eye
