@Theloamwolf @theloamwolf thank you so much for all the time and effort you spend in sharing these reviews, they are extremely helpful to the public. Any thoughts or insights to share between the Nebo and Relay for trails in Arkansas/Midwest Region?
Hey thanks so much Jason. We appreciate that. Honestly we love the Relay, but it's definitely a bike that thrives on the steeps, big features and being ridden fast. It is still a lot of fun on general trails but we think the Nebo could be a more well-rounded option for you in that region! Maybe upforking it for some burlier terrain like Leatherwood(?) could be useful if you find yourself riding that stuff and feel undergunned. We've really been enjoying the Nebo so far though, and it's a good value.
I own a Heckler SL, but if I was buying today, I would either get this or the updated Norco Fluid VLT instead. Much better value and I prefer a Horst link over vpp after riding a couple Santa Cruz bikes. I bought the base model and it’s such a terrible spec (upgraded nearly everything) in comparison.
I liked Fezzari. Had no issues with their old name. I think Ariz Bikes would have been cool. Oh, and find a Canadian distributer. Preferably on the west coast, thank you 😎
It is amazing how e-bikes went from “getting people who need some pedalling assistance” into the sport to top selling segment in the industry. The turn-off for me is the proprietary systems, the insane weights and the crazy amount of suspension that 90% of riders will never need.
Not sure what those weights are as we dont have any lower end builds to weight ourselves. We would likely guess a difference of about 3 pounds or so on the lowest build kit, which is still better spec'd than other companies entry builds.
All those details will be in our long term review when we have sufficient time in the bike to give some good detail. That said, the Fazua Ride 60 in this bike feels like other Fazua equipped bikes in terms of range and power, so if you’ve ridden one of those you’ll have similar experience.
Never tried this system . I currently have a 2020 levo sl. Nice bike . Light, nimble but lacks punch for real serious climbing. A Big contrast to my Canyon Grail on which packs a serious punch! Obviously very different motor systems. Would love to try this one. Looks very promising. Compact design with more power! All while maintaining a respectable weight.
Fezzari was a weird name. Was it a Ferrari? Was it italian? Ari is odd but so is Scor or even Scott. Scott who? Definitely think they can build on Ari more easily
Drew, looks good. I would prefer it if it was 160/150 travel and 64 degrees. Drew are you going to review the new Norco Fluid ebike with the bosch SX motor, it's looks very good!
From what I hear, the motor sound and rattle are similar to the CX full fat motor. Quietness is usually one of the benefits of lower power motors. That's the only thing keeping me off a Norco.
Any of us that ride in the desert know how big of a deal this is, I have broken 6+ bash plates on my Rise. Now I am 3d printing them to keep up. I looked at a Relay today the shape and the second half of the motor is exposed. That will not fly in Vegas.
