  • This all tube PA head was converted to a guitar amp for me by J.P. Henry at Henry Amplification. I'm running it through a WEM Dominator-inspired custom 2x10" V-front cabinet loaded with Eminence GA10-SC59 speakers. My signature Goldtop TelePaul is strung with GHS Boomers. Buy them direct: www.ghsstrings...
    The Stromberg-Carlson AU-58B uses 6SJ7 and 6SN7 preamp tubes, 6L6 power tubes, and a 5U4G rectifier.
    Spread love not hate.

Cool! I just picked one of these up. Going to try it for harp. What speaker configuration did you use?

Apart from the delay and verb are you using any other pedals on this?.
Great drive tone but any I've ever seen/heard have only cleans with very little if any overdrive?.
I'm assuming there has been somekind of mod done to it, it's a "dark art" getting the best from these old circuits!.

What modifications did you make to the amplifier for guitar vs PA?

99% of the time "converted" just means changing the input and output jacks to 1/4".

Did you have any luck getting them converted and if so where did you go to?.
      Thanks.
