Sean so so good. I have followed you thru the complete series and have learned so much and got many ideas from your work. Congrats on the recent magazine feature
Sean it was real nice to see where you started and to follow you all the way to this video. You packed a lot of detail into it and it looks great! Congratulations on a job well done.
Nice job Sean! I’ve watched all your videos. Thank you for posting them. I’m really looking forward to seeing the trains and especially the operating accessories. Please keep em coming! I even enjoyed your smart blind video. Keep it up brother... G
Sean, I have thoroughly enjoyed watching your progress on the layout and can’t wait to see some running and recording actions on your next videos. I have learned a lot about the legacy system from you and I can’t wait to get started on my legacy pike.
... do you have any pics of your basement before you started the remodel for the train room ??? ... if so, please share ... also, what is the material and source of the material used for your roadways ??? ... mimics asphalt very well ...
Looks fantastic Sean, been watching from the start. Wish I had the space to do one myself. Hope you keep posting running sessions like Eric's trains. Great layout.
Congrats on this amazing layout, the small leds make it come alive..lots of work...you could perhaps add some fences as railways are usually blocked off from gardens and roads...
Thank you for the *Galactic* tour of your train layout - Your attention-to-detail is absolutely *Breathtaking!* I have a question though, how do you clean the layout and all of individual pieces of dust that accumulates and how often do you clean? I sent your RUclips channel to a friend of mine that's a train enthusiast but hasn't set up any track. Thanks again for this amazing tour!
i worked at a hardware store. a tiny pallet was placed under the stack of feed ( just a 3/4" thick plywood with small wood strips under each side so the handtrucks would slide under and the feed was stacked probably 8 or more bags high. it was rolled out at opening and placed inside ,in a isle in line with the front door at closing.the trick was to get the bags to stack evenly and not tear.
looks awesome, been following your progress for the last couple of years and it has turned out great. I am in the process of finishing my basement so that I can put up a permanent layout up,my second. The first one I put up without finishing first and it was very dusty. I have drawn inspiration from your attention to detail and the quality of work. Getting ready to pick my flooring and I am going to show my wife your video of yours. did you use carpet squares?
Amazing layout. I really enjoy. All of your videos. Excellent job. Looking forward to all of your videos. What state Do you reside? I think that trains are An East Coast Hobby because of the cold weather. Thanks for sharing such wonderful videos. Great job Sean.
Great video and layout would like to see some trains running and more how to and or troubleshooting. I use fastrack and am always having issues. Don’t stop posting!
In one word. WOW. So impressive and beautifully done. Love the detail in your videos as well! What did you use for the pavement and how wide did you make the streets?
This was actually a toy building set made by Kenner from the '60s. It is called "Girder & Panel Building Set". Search on eBay and you should be able to find some. They came in all kinds of configurations. I got the 72050 set.
Sean, you are an inspiration! Fabulous layout. I've followed all your videos. All were interesting, informative and very helpful, particularly the tutorials and how to do's. I have to admit, I was surprised when you dipped under the layout...with all the thoughtful placement, organization, etc. above I expected engineering perfection...I can't tell you how elated I was to see you took the same approach I am...wire it up..make sure it works, don't worry about how it looks. Thank you, thank you! Looking forward to your follow on videos.
I have the same building set that you used for your building under construction. Do you know what are they called? I had 2 sets. One was red, one was blue. Great looking layout!!!!!
ChrisBookeBass great observation !! I had those in the 1960 ‘s on my basement floor train layout Can you still get them ?? My son is a welder and would really appreciate Sean thanks for all this inspirations And tremendous job on all this hard work
Not sure it was like 4 years ago, but I used really high quality 2x4's (not warped, bowed Home Store stuff) and Cabinet grade 3/4 plywood (so it was a prefect smooth finish) so it was probably 1000.00-1500.00. You could do it much cheaper I am sure with a lot more work adjusting for bad wood.
Probably not. They don't look that great on 072 on the curves. I had a big boy, EM1, etc. Just too big, plus they are so high priced, I can 2 engines for the price of one. I do have a Lionmaster Challenger though.

GREAT OVERVIEW OF THE LAYOUT ... LOVE IT ... WHEN IS YOUR OPEN HOUSE EVENT ??? ...
Who manufactures the construction tower?
Cool
I did the same kind of detail, but on a smaller layout that is 9x12 using 84 and 72 inch radius curves. See Don’s O gauge train layout , on YT.
Amazing layout. I really enjoy. All of your videos. Excellent job. Looking forward to all of your videos. What state Do you reside? I think that trains are An East Coast Hobby because of the cold weather. Thanks for sharing such wonderful videos. Great job Sean.

What did you use for the pavement and how wide did you make the streets?
Great work ! Can you provide the information of where we can purchase the skyscraper that you displayed in your layout?

My wiring looks the same it is organized functional chaos. Your layout is inspirational!
exellent
very nice layout. it was fun for me to watch your layout grow. Thanks a lot. It has given me ideas for my layout.
Your car collection there also great. Can you please named me some of brand you bought for the layout? Thanks so much!
What cars did you use for your layout? And where did you buys them?
I have the same building set that you used for your building under construction. Do you know what are they called? I had 2 sets. One was red, one was blue. Great looking layout!!!!!

Can you still get them ??
My son is a welder and would really appreciate
Sean thanks for all this inspirations
And tremendous job on all this hard work
Great job, but a layout is never done, want to see some trains run
how much did it cost for all the wood like the table top and frame
Not sure it was like 4 years ago, but I used really high quality 2x4's (not warped, bowed Home Store stuff) and Cabinet grade 3/4 plywood (so it was a prefect smooth finish) so it was probably 1000.00-1500.00. You could do it much cheaper I am sure with a lot more work adjusting for bad wood.
Merry christmas ! quick question what scale car sizes do you typically use ?
1:43
thanks Sean
What scale are your diecast cars
Most are 1:43
Sean - What did you use for the sidewalk? some look leveled with the road but some do not. thank you in advanced.
Just 1/4 foam sheets from woodland scenics, scored for the lines and painted concrete color.
Sean's Trains, Cars and Other Stuff Channel thank you for the information. Love the layout
Turned out real nice! Have enjoyed watching it happen. Oh yeah you are right. The Aztec is the ugliest car ever!!!
What's the minimum curve on your layout?
072 are all the curves
Wow, that's awesome! Do you own any locomotives that require an O-72 curve? (Aside from that Empire State Express I see on the shelf)
I think most all are 054 minimum. M1a's, Berkshires, ES44AC, SD70's, etc.
Are you planning on buying any articulated locomotives? (Big Boy, Y6B, Alleghany, AC-9, etc.)
Probably not. They don't look that great on 072 on the curves. I had a big boy, EM1, etc. Just too big, plus they are so high priced, I can 2 engines for the price of one. I do have a Lionmaster Challenger though.
Empire State express is my fav locomotive and train can undo a video on yours we need more tran layout videos and just train videos
