The actually shape is the more rounded shape that is the traditional flying v. But they won their appeal so they can make the traditional king v and explorer body shape.

How is the Dean Vengeance V a "Lawsuit" Guitar? I fail to understand
It was blocked from being released for 3 years because of the Gibson lawsuit? I explain this in the video.
Dean should change the V headstock so it perfectly aligns up whit the Gibson Flying v. Just like Schecter and Gibson Les Pauls match up when putting them headstock to headstock. I need to get one of these to review😎🤙
I bought one directly from Dean and it was mint from top to bottom...they actually delayed my shipping by 2 days so it could go through their own QC and setup. I've got numerous Dean's and I've noticed when I buy directly from them they come in top shape or they list it B stock and gave me a huge discount.
Good to hear, this came from an indepenenent retailer in USA so perhaps wasnt checked beyond point of manufacture.
Yeah, the whole Gibson lawsuit was total BS, there are countless companies who copy the V shape for decades *cough Jackson* and they only went after Dean, now?!

About Dean: a friend had the older , now discontinued Michael Schenker Flying V Select Series, Made in S. Korea by WMI and that thing was a solid guitar all around.
The headstock looks goofy and the Dean stock pickups were a little bit meh, he swapped them for good old fashioned Duncan JB/ 59 set, but overall a great guitar.
Their USA custom shop models though are supposed to be amazing.
I'm lucky enough to own a USA custom Dean and it is indeed incredible.
Gibby do like a good lawsuit...
P.S. Apparently Michael Schenker doesn't play Dean Guitars anymore, so I guess his sign. Dean models will go up in price, in the future as collector's items.

Dean Vengeance and Zero owner here, both the single pickup satin black models. Mine don't have these issues, nor did the others in the shop. Then again, my local shop is very close to Dean in terms of owner relations and location, so mine might have gone through extra QC checks.

I wanted to get either the 7-8 string multiscaled khaler’d MLs from this year as well😅, but I could justify nearly 3 grand Canadian, so the quest for another Flying V persists 🫡 and I must say that the 2 pickup version of that guitar is fucking GORGEOUS and far too tempting…

I forgot how crazy sophisticated MD's riffs were for the 80's! Tonnes of chromatics, exotic scales, string skipping patterns etc. Beasts.
Man great you have Dean on your channel! To be honest I just hope Dean returns to making the guitars we all love, and by that I mean the Caddilac, ML, V, etc. I just hope they bring back the V headstock with these vengeace models and more variety for passive pickups. TBH they ruined the guitar wit those Fishman pickups, I really hate this trend, Fishman pickps are not even close to the greatness of the EMG's and keep in my I dislike EMG's. Great review anyway! \m/
Same here one of the first proper metal guitars I ever owned was a Dean ML even before I knew who Dimebag was!
