My daughter has a lot of fly aways. What do you recommend? I've tried hairspray but then she gets that white flakes. She recently started kindergarten and I'm always trying to keep her up for school 😊
I have tons of fly aways. To make my hair stay in better I do it when it is really wet (like 15 minutes after a shower), if I waited too long and it dried too much, I use a little bit of hair gel that is not very strong (it doesn't make my hair hard like the strong stuff, it just holds it down better. On super hot days I get my hair super wet and add gel to it to make it hold better and last through the whole day better.
I just wanted to take a moment and really acknowledge that Mindy really is a SUPERMOM! She manages to come up with beautiful hairstyles every week and fulfills her duties as a mother and wife! It took me a minute to figure out the opposite direction of the twists to make them stay, but once I did it worked really well and is super easy!!! Love it!
So glad that someone else calls this a chainlink braid! I always am messing around with braids and twists and created this lovely twist last April. I too, called it the chain braid. So glad someone agrees it looks like a thick chain! Try doing 3 rope braids together, it makes it look extremely intricate!
I came back to say that this is my FAVORITE hair style it makes the CUTEST waves in your hair. I did a twist like french braid and this braid at the end everyone LOVED it!

In one of her previous video Mindy said Rylan doesn't like having her hair done that much and I know what that feels like I don't like people doing my hair either only myself :)

I love ALL these creative and cute ideas! I'm going to try to make sure I comment on my results when I do a hairstyle and today I tried this on my daughter. Her hair is extremely fine and I have trouble with it staying up and just staying in a braid period. So, I tried this one today and it's SUPER cute, but with her hair, it was already coming out by the time I left her at the school (30 minutes after I had her hair done). I think it's my err though and I just didn't get the twists tight enough and I'd definitely go with wetting the hair down first because it was so much easier to just keep separated while you work with fine hair. I will try this one again and try to make sure I get the twists tighter because it was so easy and took me maybe 5 minutes (from starting to get the ponytail) to finish.
I did it!!!!!!! I wore it to primary school, (I live in the UK!) and I got tons of compliments asking how you did this. I have gymnastics tonight in 20 minutes, and at the moment I am wearing it! Thankyou! :) x

I am an Emergency Department RN and my hair is about butt length now. We cannot wear our hair down if it is past the shoulders, so I am always on the lookout for things I can do that keep my hair up and back away from my face. I have enjoyed watching you and the girls so much. I have a lot of things going on and don't have a lot of time, I appreciate being able to get into your app on my phone and look for something quick and easy peasy! I used to get those white flakes too but not any more because I use polmade and it works very well and you don't get flakes

try making a (clean) toothbrush wet with water, and brushing those flyaways toward your hairline, and on, thats what i do!
