i am currently stretching my ears for the 3rd time and honestly.. stretching should not hurt if you wait a month or longer between stretches.. when i first started stretching my ears back when i was 14 i was so impatient and luckily never did any serious damage but now that i am 18 i am a lot more mature and patient.. it really shouldnt be painful.. goodluck :)
I used the same kit when I stretched my ears! I went up to a 2g and have since taken them out and they have closed all the way up. My advice to anyone who wants to stretch is to not rush it. You should not have any intense pain or bleeding while stretching so if you do, downsize and wait for your ear to heal and try that size again in a month or so.
Make sure you wait the suggested time in between stretches. Definitely 8g to 6g. I went to that on March 26 and it hurt so bad. I waited three weeks which I know wasn't long enough. It is the first stretch that sizes up to a full millimeter so just be careful! You seem very educated and I am sure you will be fine.
I have the same kit. The suggested time in between stretches is way too little time. I suggest waiting 2-3 months between sizes because your ear needs at least 3 weeks to heal from the stretch and 3 weeks to naturally stretch themselves. If you feel any sort of pain at all, you're not ready to move up to the next size. When I size up, my ears are ready for it. The next size slides right in and no need for a taper. I know it's a tedious process but it's worth it if you want healthy, happy ear lobes :) good luck!!!

It is pronounced ho-ho-bah oil. (Jojoba) Wait at least 4 weeks between stretching. After a fresh stretch don't touch your ears for like 5 days. Then, you can start to remove them, clean with gold dial soap on a hot shower snd you can clean your jewelry with the soap also. Massage your lobes for 3-5 minutes everyday with either vitamin E oil or jojoba oil. Wait 2 weeks after stretching to change out jewelry. When you get to a bigger size like 2g...I'd suggest going on Amazon amd purchasing 1g taper and tunnels to help you stretch to 0g. It makes life easier!! My original goal size a year ago was 2g, but it started looking small after awhile in my ears. So now I'm almost at 00g. I just stretched today to 9mm which is between 0-00g. The reason you only stretch with stainless steel is because plastic or acrylic and silicone are prone to bacteria and infections...they can not be sanitized like metal. Good luck!! Never rush the journey! Your ears will thank you later.
I said the exact same thing about the 00s when I first started again. I don't like huge gauges (past 00s), but I miiight go up to 00s even though I'm not really planning on it. I got the Rainbow Titanium BodFX kit last month, but I'd previously stretched to 10g, and let it go back down, so I'm already back up to 10g without swelling and pain (I'm going to be waiting a full month between stretches now). I used cheap plastic ones my first time stretching and it was a horrible experience (the very first pair of tapers I bought went from 12 to 8!!). Also, make sure to take your tunnels out and wash them and your ears with some gentle, non-scented soap. Some people forget to do that and that's when your ear is more likely to start smelling bad :(

Ahhh the stretching community is expanding. Just a word of advice, whenever you clean your ears make sure you massage them with your gauge gear, it just makes it a little easier to stretch. Also stretching from an 8g to a 6g was the worst! Im still at a six and I'm waiting a few more weeks to go up to a 4g!! Good Luck!!

+Mariah Salomon I'm doing my research before I start my stretching journey and I've heard a lot of people say a good salt-water or saline solution is good to have for cleaning healing stretches, and then washing stuff you wear often helps as well.
yes definitely do it as it is recommended ( not that you would have any problem) because when i first stretched my ears i used an 8g. so i went straight from a normal piercing (18g i believe) to a 8g. without any sterilization. imagine the infection. but i was also an ignorant little kid so yeah. i have definitely learned my lesson on that and piercings.
I stretched to a 00g and my ears didn't close up (one closed to an 8g and the other 6g). I'm currently in the process of stretching back up since regular earrings just fall through my ears or get stuck inside the earring hole.

When stretching with tapers, use the tape method. By wraping your taper with a layer or two of electric or plumbing every soften, you will be able to size up painlessly. Js though

Can someone help me out? I love the idea of having small tunnels and definitely want to stretch my ears the 4g but I have a small problem. I got my ears pierced when I was a baby and they are even but since I flinched while the ladies where piercing my ears so my right ear piercing is facing a in a down direction. It's not really just a small difference it's a slope. Will this effect an of it? I could wait until it grows over and get it re-pierced, but that might take a while. I'm just asking for some advice, please someone respond. Thank you!
It shouldn't be a big deal, my ears were little different to. The lady that did mine made one of them a little higher then the other, but i have stretched to a 2g and mine look fine. I hope you have a good stretching journey, it hurts but you'll get through the pain. But be careful you don't rip your ears, and don't stretch to fast. I made that mistake

I waited a week for 4 to 2 and I have a Chunk of Skin Torn off inside my Ear holes so be care. It doesn't hurt it just it's not healing so I might have to down size
My lobes are stretched to an inch, and if I leave my plugs out for even an hour they shrink right back up to at least half an inch and it's really hard for me to fit my inches back in. I never took them out for a longer period of time because I'm scared I'll have to downsize, but I'm sure it would shrink up a lot more. It really depends on your skin if they're going to get smaller again. Some people only stretch to a 00 and they can never go back!
The thing where she said that at 00g is the size you have to stop before it can still close, it's not true. If any of you know Tony Perry from Pierce The Veil he had huge gauges and now they're closed. Also there are videos on RUclips of people closing their ears and they're past 00g... Just saying...
stretching from 8 to 6 seems to be the hardest jump. From me and a bunch of my friends who have stretched. If it hurts too bad, go back to 8's and wait a week. Listen to your ears and you wont have any problems! Personally, I had absolutely no problem going from 6 to 4

i just started streaching yesterday and im doing it for the same reasons you have , they are plugs that are super cute and i reaaaally wanna wear also i have more holes for my awesome earings so i wanted something different and cool so ... yeah :p
WAARNING 4 to a 2 SUCKS IT HURT SO BAD! it took me forever to do it because I was scared of getting a blowout! try the taping method and when stretching use plenty of essential oils (I like jojoba butter) and massage them regularly with the oil of your choice. as you get bigger your ears will start to get 'ear funk' which is a bad odor coming from the build up of sebum and natural oils in your ears, I like to take out my plugs in the bath and rinse them out with my facewash which is non-soap formula (burts bees) and it softens them up so nicely! if youre on the go, tea tree oil takes the stink away and cleans them up fast, just make sure you clean them a lot or else they'll smell like crap! so glad youre stretching! its addictive and fun! im at a 2g and if you need anything you can just dm me!:)
Anyone got any advice for the terrible 8g to 6g stretch ? 😛 Ugggggh I'm at an 8, and tomorrow would be the 4 week mark (had 8's in for 3 weeks 6 days.) I was really excited and tried to stretch one ear today, didn't go well. My ear started burning. Probably turned a bit red.( the actual stretching didn't hurt to bad, but tbh it hurt, not as much as the after burn though.) Didn't feel comfortable leaving the 6g in, so massaged them with jojoba oil, (felt so much better) and put the 8g back in. [I would suggest keeping the tapers in for at least an hour after stretching, let your ears cool down before sliding a plug/or taper in. ] I have gauge gear, holy butter, jojoba oil, (and vitamin e oil, but I think vitamin e oil isn't as good as jojoba.) I usually use jojoba oil when stretching, I'll probably try holy butter when I try to go to 6g again next week. Which do you think I should use to stretch? Gauge gear, holy butter, jojoba oil, or vitamin e oil?
Hey! I used to stretch with Vitamin E oil but it was too "thick" for me, I didn't like it as much so I started using Coconut Oil. Coconut Oil is amazing to me! (I have 1/2" earlobes)
Great video! I also loved your ear piercing tutorial vids, esp. the cartilage one! :) I had my goal size at zero too, but after a year or two caved and went a little bigger. lol Now I'm at 12mm (I think) about 1/2". Have a good one. :)

Trust me, you wont stop at 2g. I stretched one of my ears and said i would never go past 2g and now im on 00g and i started stretching the other (stretching to 2g next week). Its weirdly addictive.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA 1 week after getting 10g pierced that weekend I dropped to a 4g then next day, within 24 hrs, went from 4g-00g hahahahaha I’m now at 1/2”within 3 weeks of initially getting gauged. My ears just scratching nicely and evenly and I bought some nice “all natural oil” so I can fit my fingers through my ears now so easy to really get my glass plugs in to stretch and it’s 3/4” and it doesn’t hurt. Just been putting on the lotion 2x a day and showering in nice warm water and slowly massaging my ears and then as well without gauges in I’m cleaning my ears with soap, try to keep them clean and the lotion I have doing great keeping my ears fresh and nice looking when I take out the gauges not all crumbled up and nasty.
I personally think 00g is the perfect size cuz it's not too big and not too small. That's just my opinion. Great video!

All of the stretches were easy what hurts a little bit more is 2g to 0g other then that the other ones weren't that bad for me

As far as i know you can just take them off in the shower and rise out the jewelry along with your piercing while you are in there.

I stretched my ears without my parents permission because they hate stretched ears, and I would not recommend doing this.

Yeah stone is really good. So is stainless steel. Acrylic isn't good because it can release chemicals into your skin :)
I got the kit too but never got that lube I just used petroleum jelly

The thing where she said that at 00g is the size you have to stop before it can still close, it's not true. If any of you know Tony Perry from Pierce The Veil he had huge gauges and now they're closed. Also there are videos on RUclips of people closing their ears and they're past 00g... Just saying...
tony had surgery to get his downsized, but yes you can. it just takes time.

stretching from 8 to 6 seems to be the hardest jump. From me and a bunch of my friends who have stretched. If it hurts too bad, go back to 8's and wait a week. Listen to your ears and you wont have any problems! Personally, I had absolutely no problem going from 6 to 4
If you're sp impatient, why didn't you go straight to the store instead of ordering them online? I didn't want to wait so I went to the store and bought my stretching kit and went home and did it.
i just started streaching yesterday and im doing it for the same reasons you have , they are plugs that are super cute and i reaaaally wanna wear also i have more holes for my awesome earings so i wanted something different and cool so ... yeah :p

4 to a 2 SUCKS IT HURT SO BAD! it took me forever to do it because I was scared of getting a blowout! try the taping method and when stretching use plenty of essential oils (I like jojoba butter) and massage them regularly with the oil of your choice. as you get bigger your ears will start to get 'ear funk' which is a bad odor coming from the build up of sebum and natural oils in your ears, I like to take out my plugs in the bath and rinse them out with my facewash which is non-soap formula (burts bees) and it softens them up so nicely! if youre on the go, tea tree oil takes the stink away and cleans them up fast, just make sure you clean them a lot or else they'll smell like crap! so glad youre stretching! its addictive and fun! im at a 2g and if you need anything you can just dm me!:)

Ugggggh I'm at an 8, and tomorrow would be the 4 week mark (had 8's in for 3 weeks 6 days.) I was really excited and tried to stretch one ear today, didn't go well. My ear started burning. Probably turned a bit red.( the actual stretching didn't hurt to bad, but tbh it hurt, not as much as the after burn though.)
Didn't feel comfortable leaving the 6g in, so massaged them with jojoba oil, (felt so much better) and put the 8g back in.
[I would suggest keeping the tapers in for at least an hour after stretching, let your ears cool down before sliding a plug/or taper in. ]
I have gauge gear, holy butter, jojoba oil, (and vitamin e oil, but I think vitamin e oil isn't as good as jojoba.)
I usually use jojoba oil when stretching, I'll probably try holy butter when I try to go to 6g again next week.
Which do you think I should use to stretch? Gauge gear, holy butter, jojoba oil, or vitamin e oil?

Hey! I used to stretch with Vitamin E oil but it was too "thick" for me, I didn't like it as much so I started using Coconut Oil. Coconut Oil is amazing to me! (I have 1/2" earlobes)
An 1:1 mix of jojoba and vitamin e oil is what I use.

I had my goal size at zero too, but after a year or two caved and went a little bigger. lol
Now I'm at 12mm (I think) about 1/2".

aah i ordered a 36 pc and it came a month later, and when my mom found out she gone mad af and she took them and i could only were 14g 😖
No wonder my ears would get infected when id wear acrylic. I had to restart like 2x cause if acrylic. good to know.
I'm so disappointed, I got this same set off Amazon (two years ago) and it was advertised how you got it, but it came in the mail incompletely and not in the box or anything.

Trust me, you wont stop at 2g. I stretched one of my ears and said i would never go past 2g and now im on 00g and i started stretching the other (stretching to 2g next week). Its weirdly addictive.

Heh, I never stuck with what I wanted either. I decided at first I would stop at 4g. then 2g, then 00g. NOW I'm looking, and it's tempting to go a little bigger, but if I do that...chances are, I'll keep going. XD Just so pretty!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA 1 week after getting 10g pierced that weekend I dropped to a 4g then next day, within 24 hrs, went from 4g-00g hahahahaha I’m now at 1/2”within 3 weeks of initially getting gauged. My ears just scratching nicely and evenly and I bought some nice “all natural oil” so I can fit my fingers through my ears now so easy to really get my glass plugs in to stretch and it’s 3/4” and it doesn’t hurt. Just been putting on the lotion 2x a day and showering in nice warm water and slowly massaging my ears and then as well without gauges in I’m cleaning my ears with soap, try to keep them clean and the lotion I have doing great keeping my ears fresh and nice looking when I take out the gauges not all crumbled up and nasty.
