The spirit bar sounds exactly like the resource in Warhammer Inquisitor Marty that you trade for minions on the pet class. Really cool resource design, nice to see it being used again! Wish more devs wouldn't be so scared to rip off smart game design from previous games that aren't theirs. It's how genres evolve when a great thing comes around. Look at how many new jrpgs have used gameplay mechanics from Octopath Traveler 1? It wasn't even that great story wise (I did like it, don't get me wrong, but it's easily the worst storytelling of the 3 games) but it brought us weaknesses, shield/break system, and the boost points system for strengthening your skills. Sea of Stars combined weaknesses with its shield/break system. And Triangle Strategy used BP as its only resource system to GREAT effect. I sure hope Atlas is doing something similar with Titan Quest 2 too, cuz TQ1 is one of my favorite arpgs ever 🤞🤞
One thing to notice is look at the positioning of the cleric skeleton, its not mindlessly following to the frontline its staying back and healing the other skelies.
One thing that I like is how an idea can evolve between different games. 2 examples : The boss (Wandering Death), and the Bone Storm (Ice shards from Wolcen). Imagine the thing in 1-2 iterations.
Comparing this almost flawless stream of thought breakdown vs blizzard’s over produced/walking on egg shells developer calls is night and day. They might end up nerfing it to the ground, but then it will suck fast for players that are not masters. Probably just controlling minions and correct skill combinations will be separating good players from great. Witch vs. Witch pvp would be like strategy game.
man i read everywhere how op minions are and now i remember that auras use spirit aswell. So if you want to run an aura you have to reduce your minions 0o
So if most minions auto resurrect then what is the cleric do? Is it reviving temporary minions like bone constructs and zombies? I hope this is the case. That would be awesome
Your minions only revive when no minion has died recently. Recently in POE is defined as 4 seconds. So as your minions die one after the other, you'll have to wait 4 seconds after the last minion's death to get all your minions back. Your minions could then all be killed again. If your minions keep dying your uptime will be extremely poor, so keeping them alive is very important. Auto resurrection is QoL, it's not a defensive layer.
@@c-tothefourth4879 He does specifically mention the clerics being able to revive downed minions, too. It's at the 5 minute mark here in this reaction video. Nothing specific about which minions that can affect. I'd imagine temporary minions don't leave behind a corpse to revive, so to answer OP's question, I doubt they will be able to revive those.
He saids enraging the reapers slowly kills them. Therefor he is using clerics to make them stay alive. Without the clerics you could also detonate them instead.
Agreed. D4 doesn't look bad, of course, but I think the lighting is really lacking (environment often looks washed out, lighting on character is bad, gives the game a flat appearance, etc.) and everything has a smear of brown/grey. Also, on a scale of 0-10 with 0 being hyper-realistic and 10 being Fortnite, D4 is around a 3 or 4. It's *barely* stylized, but there's something about the environment and character models that just bothers me. Really not a fan of the way any Blizzard games look. PoE 2 just has better lighting/contrast and has a slightly more gritty/realistic look to it that I prefer. Maybe a more natural look is a better way to describe it? IDK, it's really subtle but there's just something off-putting about D4's visuals to me.
@@justinquisitive7226 D4 still has that cartoony art style again (so called Blizzard style). It doesn't fit the atmospheric vibes they were claiming to bring back. The result is simply D3's graphics in gray with some extra resolution in textures.
I usually hate necromancers in general because they feel extremely passive (minion necro in D4 is a BORE) ... but being able to craft your own army through unique monsters you capture in gems and (hopefully) manually use their special ability makes this class extremely versatile and super complicated to master (which is 100% my cup of tea). The fact you also need to hunt down those special monster to cherry pick your team gives much more satisfaction when the build comes together because it's not spoon fed to you, you need to put some work into it. Well done design wise ! When you finally get your endgame build with your witch, I bet you'll feel proud of that achievement and have much more satisfaction seeing it all come together on the screen.

@@craigsaddington6430 you have other classes to do that, what are you talking about? I'm talking specifically about a minion build, be it a necro in diablo, or a witch in poe
edit: you sure we watched the same video?
you can raise spectres etc in poe 1 as well.. but everything so far look way better in poe 2
@@nesrodass7051 yeah, I heard that later on watching the video, but there were some bad aspects to its management, anyway can't wait to play it
@@inksiety yeah managing them requires you to do some kinda tedious stuff. Can't wait for poe 2
Seems we have game where necromancer can can control minions in other ways that just spawning them and pressing golem skill.
What? The minions don't look like toys? Amazing lol
This guy seems to have all the answers at the tip of his tongue while blizzard dev’s constantly look at each other for answers depending on who’s department the subject involves. Game mechanics aside Blizzard could learn a lot from how this type of content is handled.
Looks amazing! Thanks Raxx
I am so excited, I completely forgot to preorder the Season of the Jungle Tomb Lord DLC.
This looks really cool. I think I would be overwhelmed in the beginning tho - just look what you can do at just level 2 there. holy moly.
this game may be the 1st game i ever play where i'll actually play a summoning build, because of these insane QoL improvements
The details are amazing. Those bone constructs if you look at that, how they come out of the ground and how enemies react on it, Im loving the details they put in the game a lot. Gamemechanic wise and details in the spells, looks like next level for sure
GGG is cooking. Excited for POE2 for sure.
it's impossible to not get excited about this. it looks amazing!
That boss looked pretty cool. Thats some real cool minion control and synergies here. Seems much stronger than the other classes to be honest.
This will set the standard for all arpg’s going forward. Used to be d1 then d2 now it’ll be PoE2
minions can open chests / doors?? omg! blizzard wake tf up what are you doing lil bro XD and omg what?! you can spread the single target degen by casting an aoe afterwards bruuuuuuuuuuuh this class is CRAZY! and you just allocate your spirit like attribute points to get more minions whaaaaaaaaaaaat
The hype for this game is definitely real.
Raxx is gunna dominate! Can't wait to play!
i am 30 now i dont get excited about games...but this...oh man from what ive seen so far apo PO2 it might be my next big thing after years
I thought I was in on this game before. I’m so much more in now.
So much more creative than the "other" game. Wish it had this game's designers
I won’t be buying a 70 $ + Expansion when this is around the corner and is FREE
the one thing thats really great is just the clunkyness of the movement speed from poe1 is just gone and looks so much smoother
still looks clanky ngl they move so weird :( I hope they polish it a bit more
@@StarCoordinate594it’s because they’re using WASD movement, look at how the Witch turns and moves. It’s way more precise and controlled than POE1.
@@StarCoordinate594
You'll probably have to play with controller or point and click for smoothness while moving.
WASD movement is cardinal directions, that's why it looks kinda clunky.
Controller and Point and Click whoever is radial.
@@StarCoordinate594 theres nothing to polish, if u want beautiful graphics on movemnet over gameplay you go play other game. functionality over graphics is king, thats all
@@StarCoordinate594 ehmm yeah but i think its because its the WASD what is making these weird looking movements... like raxx pointed out aswell
I am so looking forward to finally play with wasd movement. There is a reason why everyone on the PoE 2 dev team plays with that instead of mouse.
This game looks amazing. As someone who loves the diablo franchise, i can safely say blizzard doesn't want D4 to be good. Or maybe they don't care.
poe always felt like the dev teams were also gamers, im sure the same can be said for poe 2 ,, d4 is ok, ive played it even through s4, but i often feel like the devs are not gamers, and the people running things are just business people , putting business and profits 1st. when this game comes out , d4 devs will have there hands full , and i bet they will loose many players to this game .
It looks amazing. Can't wait
I like how after that long intense boss fight it dropped 3 blues and a scroll of wisdom lol
Everything about PoE2 just looks unbelievably awesome, the beta really can't come soon enough.
I really hope they also polish the item text when it drops on the same level as the textures and stuff already are
Never played 1 minute of PoE but will for sure try out PoE 2. It'll be interesting to jump between PoE 2, D4 and LE.
Same. I missed the entirety of PoE because of other obligations. Now it’s just too late to join. I’ll definitely give PoE 2 a try.
@@VicJangisn’t too late
@@c-tothefourth4879 I heard you need a phd lmao. Isn’t the game too large to learn for casual gamer at this point?
@@VicJang You don't need to learn everything at once. Just find a build guide for something that looks fun, then focus on one mechanic at a time. Play the league mechanics you like, ignore the others.
I wam debating swapping to poe2 after streaming d4 for this long. Def gonna take a serious look into this game at open beta
That Cleric is putting in work lol
This class feels like one of those that are really deep and difficult, but will probably be op when mastered. Kind of like Zergs on SC2.
Welp... Imma deffo be playin' dis.
So if most minions auto resurrect then what is the cleric do? Is it reviving temporary minions like bone constructs and zombies? I hope this is the case. That would be awesome
They do what all clerics do, heal and buff.
@@c-tothefourth4879 Its 6 seconds for the revive btw. He said so in a podcast.
Impaling Skeletons (Sacrifice) is a cool idea !
Damn that is impressive. Hopefully this releases simultaneously for console and PC, I want this on PS5 ASAP.
Confirmed that it is
Never played POE but I am definitely trying this one out.
I wonder if there is a boss that summons minions you can raise as a Spectre
No out of place wings too!
The build guides are gonna be crazy.
This game looks so much better than d4 graphically too. Not even comparable. There’ll be 0 reason to ever touch that game when this comes out
Not really lol im excited to play it though
@@justinquisitive7226
D4 still has that cartoony art style again (so called Blizzard style). It doesn't fit the atmospheric vibes they were claiming to bring back. The result is simply D3's graphics in gray with some extra resolution in textures.
That title got my mind spinning thinking im misreading it.
The animation quality on this game is insane ...
Damn that Torgul the Defiler boss... how come d4 couldn't make a boss like that???
keep in mind that's just a boss in the campaign. Imagine what endgame bosses will be like.
@@OptimusGrime85 and only level 30 and not even the act boss.
indie company give blizzard a break man
Never played poe1 but going to play 2 and this witch character, which looks really cool. Diablo necro is just boring. This is like updated take which is cool
one class here has more depth than the entire D4 game lmao
This game looks so damn good. Can’t wait to play!
diablo 4 is POE2 waiting room for me. I'm looking forward to diving into it.
why they didnt display summoned elite vs the boss at end...
finally man. An action RPG that doesn t require 1 spell only.
Disastrous Necromancer and Solo Leveling vibes. Definitely a lot of manhwa being read at GGG. Amazing gameplay.
I want to play a class that resembles the warrior from D1 like just a basic fighter class with limited magic abilities, anyone know if there will be a class like that?
looks 10x times better than D4.
Nah diablo 4 looks 20 x better 💪
Here it comes! D4 is dead again chatters
Objectively, they have different styles of art so... ehh
Not even the slightest 😂😂😂
whrong, are 1000x.
very curious to see itemization in poe2
Love for minion builds!!!!
This looks absolutely perfect, could be the true successor to Diablo 2 😮
POE already was
This is the next level of ARPG, injected with RTS style.
The game looks fvking amazing to be honest..
@Rax: I hope you will play PoE2 too. I'm done with D4 and wait for PoE2
he will %100
He said in another post that he is going to "Omega Blast" PoE2 through its entire lifespan and create videos and guides constantly for it, from beginner guides to advanced end game guides. Basically, he's going to make PoE2 his main game it's looking like.
You can read what he said yourself towards the top of the comments. It's the one that has like 20+ replies.
The only thing Blizzard can do is cinematics and marketing for fat millions xD.
When will we be able to play poe2? Do we have a release date?
@Waiden01 wasn't it a free to play game? Lmao
Yes it's a free game
Oh I see, thank you guys! Can't wait for this masterpiece
@@donotsayit Probably be a $30 bundle that'll get you early access in November. Or, you can wait until mid 2025 (I'm guessing) for the 1.0 launch and play for free. They need to limit how many people play the early access, and they know us die hards have no problem chipping in....most of us buy a $60 bundle every league (season) or two anyway to support GGG.
Also, those kinds of players with a good history of supporting GGG will be able to bypass having to buy the bundle for Early Access and get a free invite. Even if I'm on that list (and I probably will be), I'll still buy a supporter pack day 1. I like supporting great products made by passionate people.
I think I'm going to skip the D4 expansion, wait a month and just start with POE2
I wonder if that indie company blizzard is watching this... Im a minion necro main nd this is how i want my minions to react... Im sold just off the minions ill be getting PoE2 wasnt a fan at all of PoE much but PoE 2 looks good af.
Long live Ryker
Bro this is what necro should be! I really wish the barrier to entry wasn't so high with POE.
There is no barrier to entry it's just in peoples minds..It is a free non competitive game. You can take your time learning and just enjoying the process for as long as you want. And the game will reward you with countless hours of content and learning. You can just follow a guide as well in the begining like in all other arpgs from the same sites.
PoE is just a game where you have to turn your brain on to understand what's going on. When you know what's going on you can turn your brain off. If a low iq sperg like me can do it, I'm sure others can too
D4 killer, no question
Not even close 😂😂
