And MR is taking these amazing cars and launching them into the stratosphere basically. What a time to be alive. Just from an engineering standpoint alone, the NA flat 6 in the GT3 RS is probably the greatest road going engine ever created, once you bring opinion and passion into the equation that motor basically achieves God status.
Haha, Yes! The car is basically the best Trackday car u can have for 200.000+ Euro but ultimate n/a engine will be the new Cosworth V12 out of the T.50 or Valkyrie...😉
I only got the break & suspension upgrade kit with alignment on my 991.2 RS and I have to say the car feels so precise on any track. Well worth the money👍
Thank you guys for the explanation and clarity of the difference of the MR cars. From the perspective of someone who isn’t a Porsche nut, things get confusing as it is yet alone adding all the Manthey packages to the mix. I think they are definitely going to give their Italian brethren a run for their money! Ps: I do enjoy the carbon or more subtle color aero disk. Helps it blend in and doesn’t distract from the natural beauty/curves of the Porsche.
I left my RS with Manthey after a trackday in July...I believe it now has the full MR package installed, can't wait until September when I pick it up for another trackday.......

The main features of the weissach package are magnesium wheels and carbon suspension components. There is also the roof but that only saves less than 500g. Since they are replacing everything in the package with their own parts it doesn't make sense to spend the extra

Wish they would come out with aftermarket headers and exhaust. For the price having no real engine enhancements is a bit meh. They are trying to position themselves as amg of porsche, but aero and suspension is not enough.

How would I spec my aero disc ? I wouldn't. I appreciate it has functional benefit but lets face it, its very minor - and as good as manthey are with the quality of produict, I think it ruins the cars look.

This video says 911 has MR track tuned suspension. How it's different from the factory setup? What are the parts they have changed? What camber/caster they're running? What shocks they're using?This isn't a technical video, just that it's different from regular 911 GT3 RS to make it more track focused. Disappointed!! I wish there're more technical videos on RUclips, but I guess people who understand technical stuff are engineers and tuners, and they're busy with their job.
Instead of spending 50k on upgrades better buy a car that will beat this one for less than 50k. But if you have lots of people working for you, money is no object, since it’s other people’s money...
Mabye a motorcycle for 50K, but no car for 50K new or used+ mods will beat a 991.2 GT3 RS MR around the Nuringburg ring and vary few will have the refinement in handling. For 50K a drag car could out accelerate a 991.2 GT3 RS in a strait line but thats it.
Gen1 C8RS An LT5 swapped 944 will beat it and cost way less. Or just LT swap this car and it’s still less than 50k. Then it will set better times on all tracks 😉
@@cancracker Or just buy a C8 Z06 with the track pack, add 40k in mods(700 PS/690 SAE HP naturally aspirated) and spend half as much as a 991.2 GT3 RS MR with all the bells and whistles.

the base GT3RS's Nürburgringtime is 6:56, the GT2RS MR did it in 6:40. there is no way this MR Upgrade makes it 16s quicker.
