Gotta break out my treadmills again
This song is a jam! Great to see you smiling, Jason.
*squints *
........hmm....the 8bitdrummer looks a little different today............
Just kidding lol, missed you Jason, good to see you again
He's Back in Black.
EDIT: Holy balls. First.
I remember this being on one of my paper jamz toys i had as a kid
omg the nostalgia
Mine was a cover of Turning Japanese, but I think a sibling's had this
Omg I had that too 😂 the memories
Duuuude, this was cool. I followed for the memes, but I think now am staying for the drum content which is great to watch. I forgot about Ok Go from when I first heard them 12 years back.
Drums look like so much fun, just wish it wasn’t so costly to get them
Yeahhh congratulations for the FC Jason! I like to see you happy whatever you do,stay happy, everyone loves you :3.
And hell yeah, what a great song...i remember it from RB1 and Dance Dance Revolution X,nostalgia
2:56 I seem to think that the blank Big Rock Endings on the Drums on Clone Hero are pretty useful. Which means no extra notes. Bodhisattva on Clone Hero Drums would sound very decent to play won't it?
Damn, you're making this look easy, Jason! Kickass!
Slowly but surely. Feeling good about the progress though 🤘
Keep slaying King. That was groovy
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but can you actually learn drums like this? I was super tempted to get a drum set back in the day but never did because was too poor when it was new, and had no room when I would come across it in thrift stores.
You absolutely can! I've been playing about nine months now and have no prior experience. Just made a video about week ago I'd recommend about learning drums on Clone Hero. Check that out 🤘
Good song. Coincidentally I've been listening to this song for the past month on repeat.
Still a damn good tune 🤘
Did you hear about Hyperkin wanting to make new instruments for the games (including Clone Hero)?
Could be huge if it happens. Part of the reason drums could be a great long term play for Clone Hero is there's no shortage of electronic kits out there. Yeah, they cost a lot more, but at least you get an instrument you can use outside the game as well.
Awesome man, didnt realize that you also played drums. If you want an insane challenge, you should try Demolisher by Slaughter to Prevail. Seriously wicked drums in that song.
Nice FC!
I have that exact E kit at home and the snare and ride stopped registering hits after a few years of use. If you’re planning on playing drums for a while my advice is either take really good care of that set or save up for a better kit.
My snare stopped working as well. Contacted the company and they replaced it no issues which was surprisingly welcomed. But yeah, might to need to upgrade in the future
fantastic run there!
Potentially random question, were you aware of and did you consider open handed drumming when you started learning drums? The lack of constant crossover feels WAY more intuitive, and it really helps close the skill/exercise gap between the right and left hand. It is one of the things I have found the most success teaching myself recently on clone hero, and that is in spite of more than a decade being an EXTREMELY right handed drummer. I have also been pleasantly surprised at how few songs are actually more difficult (specifically Scream, Aim, Fire REALLY wants the RH on all cymbals/HH), and there are even a few that are actually easier (some early patterns on One are the only specific I can think of off the top of my head). Additionally, from the analysis i've seen by youtube drummers, open handed is a genuinely better method in almost all IRL circumstances unless you've already trained yourself to be very RH dominant. I figure you are still early enough in your own learning process to get most of the upsides of open handed without most of the downsides, assuming you haven't already decided it doesn't interest you.
Practicing a bit with it off stream. Still not the best with it, but working on it 🤘
Ok, Go.
Oh, here he goes he goes again! :)
absolutely slayed
Love the shirt
Good job man:)
Yay more drum content.
you grow stronger
I assume that the drum kit is hooked up via the midi usb connection to the pc. now I have a reason to get clone hero so I can do the same with my electric kit.
Yep! Connected with MIDI to an audio interface. Any kit will work, just map the buttons and you're good to go
You gotta work on the way you hold the drumsticks, don't use the whole arm, just your wrists. Just saying.
Need more time on my practice pad overall tbh
Can you play The Beatles Rock Band songs?
So strange seeing you play a real song and not an internet created frozen urine spike jammed in my ear. Nice work.
First
any one remember thrillville with this song? ah my childhood.
Jason: You know what song I'm scared of in the RB2 setlist?
Me: Painkiller or Panic Attack
Jason: Panic Attack!
Yep haha.
Played Panic Attack and Painkiller nearly back to back on stream tonight. Been a while since I've sweat like that. Need more time for those for sure 😅
@@JasonParadise I don't catch the streams enough, I'll have to watch the VOD!
Got any other charts that are good for beginners?
Trying to get better at drums in clone hero, so I’d like some more options
