    Thanks for explaining scenes! I had no idea about that - As I was triggering notes on my midi keyboard I inadvertently changed scenes and I couldn't figure out why my sound set suddenly changed. Now I know.

    As you say, so much fun and so many options. I still find myself in an 'NI creative block' from time to time where the sheer number of options means you choose nothing at all.
    These are great tutorials. Good motivation to just try some things out. Thanks.

      Psh, can't even do slide notes... and the gui looks like it was designed in '93... That being said, it really all just come down to preference these days, though I would argue that Harmor, one of the native plugins for fl is one of the dopest synths I've ever seen.

    At first glance I thought "Gee great, another drum sampler.." but after the video was over I can really see the potential with this! Twisted Tools implemented some really great functionality here.

      Thank you! I've been trying to convince people for weeks that the workflow is key to how nice this ensemble is. Once they see it in action, they get it.

    • @MrMarcLaflamme
      @MrMarcLaflamme 10 лет назад

      Matt Cellitti I like the fact that all the sounds are self contained (props to the team for doing all the leg work there) and the simple randomization feature generates an almost unlimited sound palette. Creative clicking is always fun! I could definitely see getting lost in this software and wondering where the last few hours went! Hope NI decides to release them standalone.

      Marc Laflamme It works with Reaktor Player, so you can buy it on its own with no need for Reaktor or Komplete. www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/drums/polyplex/

      One other thing I noticed that more synths need to implement - visual feedback on envelopes, LFO's, etc. I realize that it's music and you should always "trust your ears" but sometimes it's just a hell of a lot easier to tweak things visually. If you know what you want to accomplish and don't fully understand what each knob does, you can at least see if you're tweaking the right things.

    Awesome!!! I have the s49, but one question: how to you get, you call it after touch, automated by pushing the key of the s49 longer. I only get it with turning the cutoff knob with the other hand.

    Hey, Thanks for the great video.
    I have been trying around including my own samples. Is it correct, that I can only add 128 samples?
    Is there another possibility of changing the samples instead of using the drawbar? Thats really annoying :D
    Cheers,
    Hannes.

    I have a kinda silly/embarrasing question... I understand how to use polyplex, (sound layers, randomizing, fx, etc...) but i'm new to NI and how it works, so I have no idea how to make rhythm patterns using polyplex ... I have logic 9 and pro tools, but can't find any info on if I can use polyplex in those programs or how to. I hope you can help me, thanks a lot!

    • @jonalynkrauth
      @jonalynkrauth 9 лет назад +1

      you need to load Polyplex in Reaktor before to use it.Polyplex is a reaktor ensemble , you can have the free reaktor player from NI on their website.but before you must activate it with the NI center service , they send you a serial when you buy it , you should enter the serial in the NI center service...(do the same thing for reaktor player)

    Is it possible to load my own samples into polyplex?
    If so could you please make a tutorial on ow to do this?

    • @jdhinden
      @jdhinden 10 лет назад +4

      Yes, it's possible and a tutorial along with some freebies is being worked on. ;) You just need to open the Reaktor Sample Map editor and select the 'User' map from the menu which is empty. Then just select the 'User' option from any of the TYPE layer menus and use the sample sliders to select.

    I find only a few vts's work.

    • @Xld3beats

    • @mBUSHattack

      yeah, it should. I use fl and am in the process of downloading this. I just know all their other stuff like massive and guitar rig work in it thanks to SeamlessR, who I would recommend if you ever want to learn anything about sound design in FL. dude is a god to me.

    So it IS true that Komplete Kontrol doesn't export the Midi to the DAW... With so much emphasis on the new chord, scale, and arp functions and not being able to freely edit it is a letdown... Hopefully they change this in the future.

    • @MattCellittiMusicTutorials
      @MattCellittiMusicTutorials 10 лет назад +1

      That functionality is coming to Maschine very soon and then to other DAWs at a later date via an update.

    • @PRSOne
      @PRSOne 10 лет назад +4

      The Xcellence - Ear Bacon Network In Ableton and even the Max 4 Live chord/scale patches the MIDI isn't imported beyond what you actually play, just as is shown here. While it'd be nice, it's not something I was expecting. It's probably a good thing, as it made me realize I needed to learn more about theory, instead of using scale or chord generators hoping to get a progression that didn't sound generic. They all get pretty repetitive rather quickly, and while that doesn't mean you can't use them to get good results, they're not helping you become a better musician.

    • @digidope
      @digidope 10 лет назад +2

      Ryan Earwood Ableton does send all arp/chord midi notes when it plays your midi track. It happens AFTER your notes so when you record to your track you only see what you played. It can't work other way around as then you could not draw notes. If you want chord/arp notes then you arm another miditrack and record output from the arp/chord channel.
