- Опубликовано: 9 сен 2017
- Absolutely on FIRE fishing!! Chose to make the trip to see if my assumption on the baitfish would pay off. Hooked up with some monsters all morning long and got some fantastic footage. Followed by a long time coming unboxing of some new Korker Buckskins wading boots and 2 pairs of Brand New Waders.
Footage captured 9/7/17. I apologize how long this video took to upload youtube hated me the last 3 days. Should be much quicker in the future!!

Great video brother...miss living in MA and being close to the CCC
already a strong supporter over here!!! 💯💪👊LETS GO!!!
Lol well done with the morning coffee opening scene
Alex J. Hey thanks bro! Just trying to make it a bit more entertaining!
"I dont like to keep my hands off my rod very often" classic. Great video tho, im looking at getting a similar setup for my birthday
Thanks to you!! now I have to go out and get me a pair of korkers buckskins, LOL... Tight Lines Man!!
How did they hold up?
Yes I have the strap on Korkers. I usually wear strap on Korkers attached to my bootfoot waders, when I fisht rocky beaches. I'll try the strap on Korkers with my sneakers when I go to the canal. Thanks brother.
nice video man. Maybe ill see you out there next week. Its gonna be on fire!
Hi Jasper, Do you use the big spikes or the smaller spikes on your Korkers, and what are your thoughts on using barbless trebles on lures/Plugs at the Canal
Awesome video man its loaded with lots of info and content! Just subscribed to your channel. What kind of utility belt do you use in your other videos?
Hodgeman H5 stockingfoot man 229.95 very good upgrade!!
Just order the Buck Skins on your recommendation, can’t wait to give them a try
How did they hold up?
Great video, nice fish and product reviews, when its a SW wind you also fish the W end of canal or does it really not matter? Thanks keep them coming!
Thanks so much man! Glad you appreciate it and I certainly appreciate the feedback! I mean a lot of guys will have what works for them with spots, I have def caught on both ends of the canal on both winds and tides. Theres a lot of factors that cause me to chose a spot, most of the time the crowds are what I try to avoid to be honest so if its SW and they're E you can probably bet Ill be working a little bit harder but doing so with more shoulder room. Hope that helps man! I def want to do a wind direction and current video so keep an eye out, and keep em tight!!!
Man I'm missing out on all the action. I'm on vacation visiting families overseas. Keep the contents coming 👍🏾
Ah Kay Van love the love!!! Seriously can't appreciate it enough!! Don't worry they're not going anywhere for a bit!!! So glad you like the stuff! Keep them tight my friend!
Great Video Bro.
just wanted to know how the waders are and did u get a chance to try them , before I get a pair was looking to get anew pair
Great information! Thanks
When you purchase the Buckskin Korkers do they come with the spikes installed?
How do you determine when to fish on the canal I have been fishing on the Cape cod canal for about 5 years not having much luck I see fish but nothing biting is the best time after a southwest Strom? Thanks nice video.
Great video, question for fishing the canal in summer instead of wearing chest waders can you get away with wearing Korkers on sneakers since you not really steping into the water?
Not sure if you are talking about the workers that just strap on or not but yes you can def get away with that however in the summer when I'm not wearing waders I just throw my worker boots on with socks and stay safe or just let my socks get wet if I'm in the water a bit but either way should work. I just don't have much experience with the strap on ones because I have never needed them owning the boots. I hope that helps!
Yoo jasper what knive you use??
what type of belt are you wearing in this video?
ill be down there soon , few more weeks ... i think i fished next to you last summer ....you look familiar
and also the korkers thanks good fishing
Well done.
Very Informative man. I have a question, if I get waders, would I need to up the size of my korkers/boots from what my normal size would be? Also, how to you determine size? I see alot of waders just go by S, M, or L. I'm a small guy 5'4 about 150 but I have thick legs I feel like a S would be too tight but a M would be too tall for me?
Vang Thao from what you say if would say either small or medium most companies have a sizing chart available I think if you click my links they will. As far as the boots sometimes it's def a good idea to go a size up however I did not and mine fit perfectly. Best price of advice order try them on and see what works best before you use. I'm 5'10 165 and I wear a medium with a size 10 boot so maybe a small and your shoe size to start I like to be snug but also room for layers when it's cold. I know it's not much but I hope that helps!
Jasper Coutu Yes, Thank you very much!
if my shoe size is 9 plus the trage sock is correct to order size 9 or size 10 ??
Fish on buddy
My Korker boots fall apart for one season used at Canal. They won't warranty it.
Just subscribed, as I can see you're a good resource of information. Was at the canal yesterday before sunrise (Sept 9) near the RR bridge and it was an absolute madhouse. People shoulder-to-shoulder blind casting in the dark, crossing each other, fish being lost left and right. It was a real turn-off, and I hope not to encounter that kind of madness again.
With that said, what did the folks at Korker tell you about the suitability of this particular boot for saltwater? I get the sense it's still not ideal for this application. Is that so? Thanks, and please keep the vids coming!
bigdeliciousband amazing thank you for the subscribe I hope to help! However the goal is obviously not cause that kind of fishing. I'm sorry you had to deal with it that's the worst! However it will happen regardless of what I can provide obviously, esp on the weekends! I can tell you right now that I do not fish on those days and esp not in those kind of spots 😉
As far as the korkers go here's my main thoughts. It all depends on how much you fish and how you fish. If you're just going here and there and being sure not to get them wet then... you're going to have them for a long time! And Ari suggested to use the buckskins. Now if you're fishing like I am, up to 10-12 times a week and fishing them HARD and not babying them, well you're talking about footware that realistically is going to be getting submerged and beaten by New England... they're inevitably (and I'd like to see what others can handle that abuse) going to break down. Now all in all Ari said they do not make a saltwater specific boot but told me that I want the buckskins and that's what the majority of NE guys are using for saltwater application. I fished the S**t out of the greenbacks. I mean seriously crushed them, and I can tell you right now Ive had the buckskins in my car still for the last month waiting to do this video all the time still using my greenbacks daily, so the cheaper material greenback handled all my abuse and still they never "failed" they just broke down and now after seeing these holy cow do I think they will handle my fishing and have all the confidence in recommending so far. I'm sure guys will say no way but I am 100% happy with the first pair, the fact they were warranteed the way they were, and sxtremely excited with these in comparison.
I hope that gives you a better sense of my thoughts. I'm telling you in just my opinion, these should provide you with everything you need! But everyone's different, and I'm never going to tell anyone what to buy or how to fish. Just what I do, what works for me, and how I have success. Seriously thank you for the feedback going to Do my best to keep the content pumping, in hopes to help you keep em tight! Thanks again my friend!
Jasper Coutu Have always wanted to try Canal but have heard it's always packed and where I'm new to salt kinda get overwhelmed lol . Cool vid just subbed
I just ordered BuckSkins based on your advice on this video. They should give you some credit for that lol. Anyway, how was your experience with BuckSkins after using them for a while? Thanks in advance!
How have your buckskins held up?
I ordered the buckskin after watching this. How did you end up liking them?
How have your buckskins held up?
Love the videos man, subscribed, can't wait for the sp video, been looking at the sinking versions but stay with the floaters. Will have to say, I will never buy Korker boots again, they fall apart in less then 2 seasons, usually in the soles, they are comfortable but have had bad experience with there warranty department. Better to go with a simms boot, and get the detachable Korker spike strap ons, or simms star cleats.
j bach dude thank you for the sub!! Super cool you're digging the content! keep an eye out man I def like the floating SPs more then the sinking. Just feel like they're a bit more universal. But I throw both and catch on both! My green back korkers totally fell apart but again that warrantee service replaces them free of charge no shipping nothing! Call Ari he's the man, I've never tried any others and with his service it's gonna be tough to get me into anything else but again never close minded to anything that works!!! Keep me tight bro and thanks again!!!
Pull those spikes out (I believe 3/8 or 7/16 socket) and punch those things back in with an impact wrench (any wrench will do) and some loctite red and you'll never loose another my dude.
Dan Evan sorry should have clarified a bit more. I do that exact process you mentioned with the spikes in the video. However I also had the other soles with the smaller spikes that you cannot take out loctite and tighten. The look almost like just screws driven through the top. Well after 2 outings i lost almost every screw even though a good friend of mine fishes even more and has never lost one in years so when I called Ari he told me he would either replace the soles or could send me another pack of replacement big spikes and that's what I opted for. Those guys are great and glad we're on the same process page!! Keep em tight!! Lines and spikes 😉
There you go again giving out great advice!! Hope your season is going well!!
How have those buckskins held up ? I’m on my 2nd pair 2nd season of terror ridge and they ain’t holding up well at all
Mine have help up great still I’m on my 3rd or 4th season with them! I’d def recommend
You sure are a great canal fisherman !#breakingtidehero
Ted Mackenzie thanks bro love the love, still a lot to learn though not even close to some fisherman out there
How have the buckskins held up?
Excellent!!!!!
Good job kid. You got another subscriber. Can’t wait to see what you got next @ctbeachcaster
How are the hodgman waiters doing? Which do you like better now that you have used them?
Thomas Rafferty Hodgmans are wayyyy better made however the footies are way thicker and actually hurt my feet in my boots if they were thinner for me they would be the best!! Hope that helps!
@@jaspercoutu489 thanks that is not worth the pain to me, I'm on long island and have to walk far along the beach. I need a pair soon and was thinking of going to an orvis store that's near me for waders. How were those white river ospreys or did you find something better?
They’re good for the price I use them the most however will also use the warranty on them this year because of they’re thinness. It’s clearly a struggle finding a comfortable and affordable pair. I know the pain (literally) but I’d rate these both a 5 out of 10.
Never tot the fallow up reviews bro
Good stuff man! You think the stripers are migrating now?
Tom nope still here! I think you've still got plenty of time. We're still limiting out on the boat daily!
There must be a shit ton of fish moving about then. When im jigging I can feel fish hitting my line. My brother thinks its bait fish. We would hook up briefly and on the hook is a striper scale. Looks like we are foul hooking some while jigging.
I order the korkers and waders thank you.
Look at the size of that strypa
Waders are model H5.
It says H5 right on the box bro
But it could look like HS...
All good... have the same ones... they are nice
Wear it then come back an give us your review .
