You know what makes Rhea's an S tier finisher? How versatile it is. When she gives it to a Zelina Vega type, she makes them look like a ragdoll. When she gives it to someone bigger like Shayna or Natalya she adds the deadlift and absolutely drags them up into position, which makes her look insanely strong. Then she can also do it from the middle turnbuckle like she did to Charlotte at Mania and Zoey at Crown Jewel. Not many finishers have that much variety in how they're executed.
You guys made a great point about the selling being a factor in the BFT. It was a C when Jimmy and solo took it but an easy A when Roman took it. He sells it perfectly.
@@chill0314 It's cuz basically everyone who's used it called it something different. I think the original name is the Yakuza Kick from when Masahiro Chono used it, but guys like Sami Zayn probably realized that that name might have negative connotations.
Man Finn’s finisher is definitely the most devastating! It’s grown man jumping in the air and instead of the frog splash that Montez does, he’s coming straight down with his feet into your ribs. That’s “100% of his body weight”! He definitely gotta get bumped up
And there's no pulling it. The best Finn can do is come down from the side like a pseudo-dropkick to alleviate any of the weight coming down. Even then, the only thing to do is brace your arms and hope that they take most of the weight.
Great video! would love a "Classic Finshers" teir list, rock bottom, stone cold stunner, pedigree HHH, things from the 90s and early 2000s would be dope af

The disrespect for Ricochet's 630 senton!! His double rotation moonsault is superior, by far; but it's a much riskier move. The problem with a lot of these is that the wrestlers used to have much, much better finishers. Like Theory's Ataxia, KO's package piledriver/powerbomb, AJ's Spiral tap or Sami's Brainbustaaaaahhhh!!!
7:24 story goes is that KO felt that he needed to change his finisher because there were too many powerbomb users at the time. (IMO, I felt it was unique enough). That's when he asked Austin if he could use the Stunner and was given the seal of approval
Fun fact, about the Helluva Kick is its origin literally comes from Sami reading a review of Jericho's wrestling wrong. A WCW magazine article said Jericho gave Syxx a helluva (hell-of-a) kick, and he didn't know how to pronounce it.
Fun fact: LA Knight's BFT is what the original version of Moxley's Dirty Deeds was before he turned it into a double underhook DDT (since he was involved in a segment with Mick Foley at the time)
Moxley did a headlock driver, whereas Knight's is a cravat driver. Very similar moves, but one's over the shoulder and the other's under the arm. Both, in my opinion, look terrible.
@@ItDoesntMatterReally That is true yeah I just rewatched a vid of Ambrose using it and it's definitely a headlock driver. But yeah both moves aren't very effective looking
I just got so angry watching this😂😂 Gunthers Powerbomb is an easy S finisher its over when he hits it. And the same with the Coup de Grace. As a kid, I always wondered why nobody is just jumping on his opponent with his feet first, as I got older I realized that it's not really safe😅. And then I saw Finn doing it and I was in love immediately.
That's kinda the problem… Since it's not safe and you can't really pretend with a move like that, it just looks like he's trying his best not to hurt the other guy (because he is), which makes it a pretty bad finisher imo.
Kevin Owens pop-up Powerball, I think of my favorite finishers. I just like the powerbomb but whenever I think of a powerbomb I think of Kevin Owens, first, I'm sure that's probably weird for a lot of people. But it just happened to be when I got into wrestling and I think his is awesome.
He needed something he could do on some big heavies. I wish he still used the pop up powerbomb though. Smackdown vs Raw let you have 2 finishers, idk why a lot of people only have 1 lol
Just got to Finn's and I love that move so much and I'm so angry that's it's in b and not s. Yeah it might be an opinion but that doesn't mean I can't be angry
I love a finsher that has a cue or theatrics. Five Knuckle Shuffle, People's Elbow, The Worm. So, I'd bump these two up a tier for that: the Claymore for its countdown; Roman's Spear with the OOOAHHH. The crowds participating is big time.
You guys make a great point about how most of the finishers can be graded on how the sell of it looks, which a lot of wrestlers will say that the sell is what makes the finish viable or not. Also, wrestlers will say that a finishing move needs to have the ability to be hit on everyone, so that plays into why KO uses the stunner over his old finisher the pop-up powerbomb. Also, the stunner has fewer moving parts, making it less likely to have messed up.
Montez ford's splash Deserves S, Also McIntyre claymore deserves S , Roman's Spear could be a little up coz, see everyone's Else Spear is like they don't fly mid Air while delivering it But Romans does fly while delivering it, it's not hard as Bron or Goldberg's Spear but Yes it should be a little higher rated
I like the final S Tier. The height that Montez gets on the Frog Splash, Bianca and Rhea have great power moves, and Iyo has a moonsault that I believe is better than Lita or Christopher Daniels. If this list had been done after Crown Jewel, Kairi's Insane Elbow would absolutely be S Tier. All other elbow drops pale in comparison.
Also MVP's own running big boot was called the "Playa's Boot." He started to use that as his main finisher more once we realized how AWFUL the Playmaker was lol
The reason AJ Styles rarely does the styles clash is got it is a legit dangerous move if taken wrong since you do not tuck your head in which is counter to what what your trained to do. So in WWE he is only does it for the biggest matches. Which is personaly a shame as the Forearm is better as a signature. And he should of made the calf crusher his primary finisher.
Frog spash would be way more devastating than Iyo's moonsault for one reason....Iyo has no weight behind it . While Ford has 200 pounds coming from a greater height bam
It would be cool if there is a finisher tier list for every era for the WWE. Like have one for the Attitude Era, one for the Ruthless Aggression Era, etc
What do you guys use to make your tier list? I've been trying to make one on my stream and I can't find any software to help with templates and to load my pictures in
I think Theory would benefit much more if he changed his finisher into an elevated cutter. Like instead of dropping opponent on his knee just make a cutter from fireman's carry position.
The problem with the Man Handle Slam is Becky stopped doing the HANDLE part & just made it a regular Rock Bottom. The Man Handle Slam used to be a Pump HANDLE Bottom(which is where the Handle part came from) but Becky changed it probably because the set up took to long. Also the Disarmher is her best finisher especially her old NXT ones were brutal.
dis arm her is one of the better submission finishers of all time for me if done correctly its increadibly versitile and it looks like it actually hurts becouse you make your opponents arm go into a really strange angle + you can use an object with it for example when she did that to sasha at her feud in 2019
I'd have to dock the CrossRhodes a tier for the fact that it never ever seems to finish anyone of note off with just one. Always ends up having to go back an do the multiple version To my recollection when there was a channel of MMA guys who tried the submissions, the figure four hurts but a large chunk of it is the hands assisting in the lock, so when Charlotte lets go of that extra hold on the shin/ankle it would take awya from it (you also would have to already be unconcious to get put into it basically, but thats pretty universal for a lot of wrestling submissions)
I'm surprised more people aren't a fan of the BFT, for me it is very similar to the RKO and it is a finisher that can be hit out of nowhere. I think it has a lot of potential when sold right.

I really like Gunther but I think his powerbomb looks weak considering how big he is. I think it’s because he doesn’t let go of them on the way down so he can get the pin combo which makes it look weaker
A lot of my issue with so many current finishers is they just don’t look like they’re hard-hitting or like they’d hurt. It’s more about the theatrics now. And then other finishers, like the Claymore imo, just don’t feel like a finisher. Like it feels like a regular kick or hit but theatrical
It’s all about the booking of the move. If a move is booked to be a finisher then it’s a finisher. I mean it’s in the same boat as sweet chin music. Where as sweet chin music is just a super kick while the claymore is just a rocket kick. Really any move can be a finisher with this in mind and like I said it’s just all based on the booking. Like for example when someone like the USO’s use a superkick it’s not a finisher but more just a set up move (of which they use too much sometimes) where as when HBK uses sweet chin music (aka superkick) that’s when it’s a finisher because of who’s using it. Honestly the only finisher I have a problem with on this list they made is the BFT. It just looks so awkward. I’d prefer if he used that jumping neckbreaker he does from behind as a finisher cause it looks way more clean. And they could just keep it as the same name but change the move itself to that neckbreaker. Not only does it still fit the name but they did the same thing with the dirty deeds where they changed it but kept the name so it’s not out of question for them to do that. And u may think a neckbreaker won’t work as a finisher but my first paragraph explains y it can be. And it’s not like it would look bad as a finisher either.
Giving the South of Heaven Chokeslam a C is crazy. Minimum A. Great name, Simple yet devastating and doesnt require a ton of setup like some finishers (like the Helluva Kick)
BFT is for me a A. Why? For me, a good Finisher is when it is able to come out of nowhere. RKO? Amazing. BFT? Really good. It can have an enormous surprise potential.
I feel like an important part of judging a finisher is considering how damaging it would be without all the pro wrestling safety measures. And taking that into consideration, Finn's would easily the most damaging.
Cross Rhodes is no where near an A for me. The fact, that sometimes he does three of them in a row really makes one look weak. I mean, he doesn't always do it, but its not very special if he does, so if he gets the win with only one of them it feels kinda ... meh
I have some disagreements but not enough that I'll complain about it, except Roman's Spear is awesome & the Riptide can be quite bad so it's not consistent enough that I put it that high...
I've only recently come across your channel and have been getting caught up on a lot of videos. I have to say this though. Is it just me or does John look like Dax Shepard in a hat/glasses/mustache costume?
Now that I've recently seen that UUDD short with Sammy literally not knowing how to pronounce Galaga, he might actually think thats how it's pronounced. 😂
I still don't know why Kevin Owens went to the Stunner as his finisher, the Pop-Up Powerbomb was a great finisher and it could be pulled out of nowhere
Coup de Grace is S Tier, especially if he just GOES for it like the ones he does to Styles are gnarly. Also another reason why Helluva Kick is S-Tier is that Sami uses it as so much more than just a "move", he storytells with it (e.g vs. Usos at WM, vs. KO at Battleground, winning the NXT title), it's such a great move for a storytelling narrative and kudos for Sami. It's crazy just for the fact that it's really just a big boot to the corner. I would also argue Skull-Crushing Finale is at least an A, it also can be portrayed differently depending on his alignment (if he's Face it's a come-from-behind win, if it's Heel it's a sneaky move fitting for a coward/shortcut-taker). Also, you should really do NXT ones, a lot of them slap.
I love the South of Heaven chokeslam, awesome name, and he executes it with a lot of impact, looks devastating, one of my favorites
Idk why no one (or almost no one) came with a Sit-out Chokeslam before, it looks so cool.

one of the things that makes Roman one of the best performers of all time imo. He sells and tells a story so well

I mean, he doesn't always do it, but its not very special if he does, so if he gets the win with only one of them it feels kinda ... meh
lets make an all time list, it will be AWESOME, YEAH
Idk why you guys even bother asking....Of course we want prt 2! And 3, and 4 and.....lmao ❤ Much love always from your fan in Dorchester MA
I have some disagreements but not enough that I'll complain about it, except Roman's Spear is awesome & the Riptide can be quite bad so it's not consistent enough that I put it that high...
Cant wait for another vid drop
I've only recently come across your channel and have been getting caught up on a lot of videos. I have to say this though. Is it just me or does John look like Dax Shepard in a hat/glasses/mustache costume?
need to see you guys rank wrestlers
The reason i dont like la knights bft is cause its too much like the mizs finisher
i would say la knight’s bft is more like dean ambrose’s first dirty deeds, in the beginning of the shield that got replaced
What he calls the 450 splash when ricochet lands on his back is actually the 630
really great list imo! only thing i personally would have changed is, move Charlotte to D and Becky to C :D
Starship Pain is basically a modified Corkscrew splash💀
Helluva kick that high is crazy.
Exactly.
