- The Arab Group, represented by Egypt, withdrew their own resolution on the health situation in Israel and the Palestinian territories after an Israeli amendment calling for the release of the hostages was passed and added to the draft resolution.

It's a significant work in the field of historical geography and archaeology, as Reland extensively documented the geography, history, various aspects of the demographics, and archaeology of the region called Palestine based on ancient sources. It's written in Latin. However, you can find some parts of it translated as part of academic research.
It contains a census from around 2500 towns in Ancient Israel. Starting in 1695, Hadriani Relandi found that the clear majority of people living in the area were Jewish. Some towns in Gaza were around half Christian and half Jewish. There were a few nomadic Bedouins. One town, Nablus, had 100 Arabs and 70 Samaritans.
Very few Arabs/Muslims lived in the area then.
This land has always had people coming and going. Just as Jews started to immigrate more to it in the 19th century, Arabs did as well. In a land that today has about 10 million (in Israel) and 6 million (West Bank and Gaza), back in 1882, you had a population of about 300k. This reached about 689k in 1914 and 757k in 1922. In fact, as the Zionists came and worked the land, more economic opportunities opened up, so more people came. And the British Mandate increased it more.
There was a bit of an issue with immigration at that time though. With the Arab pressure, the British limited Jewish immigration to a halt and their land purchase rights. While not limiting the Arabs.
We can also go by archeologic findings all over Israel. Pretty much everywhere you can dig and find Jewish relics, you'll also find Arab relics, but those are only on the top layers and the Jewish ones are in every layer.
Jews in the diaspora kept their culture, teachings, holidays, and the core of their religion. And there were always Jews still living in Israel.

It was what he calls the Arab Group (used to be referred to as the Arab League) who, allied to the Nazis, rejected totally the Partition Plan for Palestine in 1948. They did not reject it with any provision for further discussion or compromise. It was a utter rejection. Hence, the Israelis in days declared the existence of their state. Had the Arab Group had anything other than a ummah in mind, that is to say a Nation of Islam, without any infidels in it, well history might have been for the better.

make up your mind. is the draft resolution merely "of a technical and procedural nature" and intended to be neither political nor (it would follow) substantive, or is it motivated by the supposed urgency of the plight of Palestinians experiencing bombardment of health facilities? you can't have both. Furthermore, if it is indeed essential for the protection of health care facilities in wartime, Palestinian or otherwise, to have this "technical and procedural" resolution passed, why withdraw it merely over an amendment that only further clarifies the distinction between medical facilities and legitimate military targets by acknowledging the already illegal war crime of terrorists exploiting health care facilities militarily? The laws of armed conflict already forbid this, it's not like this symbolic resolution from an impotent body would be codifying new law - so what are they so afraid of, other than acknowledging the reality that Hamas cannot claim the protection of international law as it fires from hospitals and uses them to hold terrorists, illegally abducted civilians, munitions and command centers, endangering the lives of all patients in proximity?
