    Finally, someone who checks fluids BEFORE starting!!! He obviously is the PROUD owner. And idled it down once running.

    Always be sure to prime the turbocharger if it’s been sitting more than a month but gorgeous machine we have a 1973 model that is going through a restoration now.

      Probably shoulda cranked it a few times before giving it fuel. Thank you for the reminder/tip! But thanks! Love our IHs. Very cool tho. Wish we had the $ to get all of ours restored. Maybe some day.

      Good to do that tho. Good coat of wax and some frequent washing never hurts anything.

      We farmed with Oliver and Case so I didn't see much red. We pulled a super 88 in the gasoline class at the county fair when I was young. I watch a 1066 with a maniac at the wheel outpull everyone. I've been a binder turbo guy ever since. You have a beautiful machine.

      It’s a nice rig! Needs a little work done to it. Closing in on 15k hours so it’s earned some upkeep

    With my uncle’s 1206 Farmall ether was used to help start them. Could put a real drain on the batteries

    • @amniconvalleyangus
      @amniconvalleyangus  3 года назад +1

      Oh I bet them D361/DT361s weren’t the best starters in the cold or atleast any of ours weren’t. All of our 66 series have started excellent in the cold.

      @@amniconvalleyangus As I recall, the tractors we did have an issue with starting in the cold were the ones on LP/butane gas, especially if they were left outside and not in a shed. The regulators would freeze up. Sometimes we could pull them and get them started.

    • @amniconvalleyangus
      @amniconvalleyangus  3 года назад

      @@slundgr ohh wow I suppose that’s a possibility for sure. We’ve never had an LP tractor so I wouldn’t know. Be neat to have one but nowadays we can’t do much with super small tractors.

      I think it was in the mid to low 40s if I remember right. You’re right though I had to replace one of the batteries during the summer. How’d yours start?

      @amniconvalleyangus  3 года назад

      Yep! Thanks! Not too shabby haha I got some stuff to do to it this winter. Needs shift linkage and it’s gonna get widened out. I cut all our hay with it now and it’s nice to have some stance when taking corners lol

    • @TonyM132
      @TonyM132 3 года назад +1

      Wow that's a big tractor to mow hay with. Unless you're using a big center pivot discbine or something like that

    • @amniconvalleyangus
      @amniconvalleyangus  3 года назад

      @@TonyM132 we do cut with a 13ft center pivot discbine so it’s a good size for that!
