Inspired by the likes of Ghost in the Shell, Metal Gear Solid, and 2001: A Space Odyssey, Ghost of Babel is a journey of the woman called Rhea as she traverses a strange, post apocalyptic landscape towards an ultimate goal.
Filmed entirely in GTA V, with the voices of Lauren Synger and DC Douglas, Ghost of Babel was created by a one man crew along with the input of many talented individuals.

Just realised I never commented on how good this was, you transcend this video beyond GTA V. Your set design is legendary, this is the sort of content that inspires me to go big!
I can appreciate this took a silly amount of work and time to make, I hope it spurs you to make more / move onto greater things machinima-related down the line.

Shots: 2:39, 4:41, 5:52, 7:16 and 7:36 (match cut) and I loved that, 9:50, 10:02, 10:24, 11:39, 21:40.
Highest visual excellence!
There was set design for almost every shot, stellar SFX, and great cinematography from start to finish.
The pacing was perfect, slow meditative scenes and fast action, the 1st dream sequence/flashforward was under a minute yet it communicated everything.
Great voice acting, elevated the anime style, yet I also appreciate how it was kept almost minimalist; the visuals spoke volumes.
The tank sequence and the final dream sequence was my kind of shit, and I loved every moment, wonderful.
Thanks for taking the time with it, all the effort shows, we are thankful for your high quality bar and your desire to make something special.
Whatever aesthetic you were striving for, and have done in the past, you perfected here; plus your influences show but you managed to create something truly unique.
So it's one big *YES!!!*

This left me speechless..... Like a good speechless though! Like I'm still trying to fathom and take in what I just viewed. Its simply mind boggling beauty. The wide shots are what steal this for me, the depth of them and the rest of the cinematography give you that feeling of claustrophobia. that can bottleneck a narrative, but you paced it out like a fucking champ! That coupled with the phenomenal VA by the actress for me makes this an absolute masterpiece! Its easy to see how hard you've worked on this Jake, congrats fella... Brilliant film dude!

Finally found time to watch it, and boy was it impressive! Superb job, Jake....superb! Captivating set/world design, stunning images with pleasantly hypnotic music! Feels a lot shorter than 26 minutes and 26 seconds too, time flies by! Definitely a new standard in the world of machinimas :)

4:27 I had a moment of "WAIT I know where this is!" Ah man, many a time my friends and I would be offroading and stop to splash around this little pond. It's a shame that whole area of the map is widely unused in GTA V.
Yeah, man! GTA V may not have the biggest map, but the individual locations have so much character, and with a few added trees/shrubbery, you can make any of the unused locations even more unique. Thanks for watching 🏅

You should (if you haven't yet) move on to real life stuff man. Some of these shots are absolutely incredible. The composition of your shots is outstanding. 21:40 - 22.22 is so beautiful.

But however this was extraordinaire and hell I pretty much missed out on a lot and started watching from 2008 and stopped in 2014. Well here's another couple of years to come . 👍.💙
