I'm a huge Argento fan but I loved the remake more. Thought it was very demonic and satanic. That climax was mental and the music was top notch (can't go wrong with Radiohead).
The original is such a classic (not my favourite giallo or Argento movie) though and it will always be so iconic especially from an aesthetic pov. Also the score from Goblin was brilliant.

I think I liked the remake better as well but Argento’s style is something I’d show up for again. Yeah that score was phenomenal.

      Hi Vic,
Really cool show. I haven't seen the original or the remake. I am going to watch both this evening. Have you ever seen the American language film 'Funny Games' from 2008? It was directed by Michael Haneke. He was also the director of the original Austrian film 'Funny Games' from 1997. Both versions are almost identical except for the actors and language. I believe he directed the American language version because he was concerned that an American movie studio version with another director would butcher his original. I was glad to hear you mention 'Hereditary' in the same breath as 'Suspiria'. Hereditary is one of my favorite films. From the get go the sense of dread from 'Hereditary' could be cut with a knife.
      Thanks

      Hey, thanks for watching!
I’ve heard of Funny Games but I haven’t seen it. Since you now know that the original and the remake are basically identical, would you recommend people watch them both?
Yes, “Hereditary” was really something special.

@@BigVicMedia Watch the American version especially for those who don't enjoy subtitled movies. Funny Games is very disturbing.
