Dussehra festival was organized with great pomp in DAV School. On this occasion, students presented colorful programs.
The function started with the Aarti of Maa Durga by the Principal of the school. After this, Ramlila was staged in which the students played the different characters of Lord Ram, Lakshman, Sita and Ravana very beautifully In the programme, children presented cultural dances and songs and enthralled the audience. Especially the scene of Ravana Dahan was very attractive. As soon as the effigy of Ravana was burnt, the entire ground echoed with thunderous applause.
In her address, the Principal highlighted the importance of Dussehra festival and said that it is a symbol of the victory of good over evil.
At the end of the event everyone was wished a happy Dussehra. Students, teachers and others thoroughly enjoyed the event and the enthusiasm for the festival was visible on everyone's faces.
