If this show came out today on something like Netflix, it would have been number 1 for months and the cast would've gotten tons of awards, especially Tasha, this show was ahead of its time.

(3) Both series had a teenage male as the eldest child, but Raj was a honor student with ZERO questionable friends. In S.C. Lorenz Tate character needed a tutor/mentor.

This is my first time to watch this show but it seems that the mom Joan always has the two older children watching the smaller one. Mainly the girl . Parents should not put the responsibility to care for smaller children on other children. Joan you adopted the child so care for him

When Andre shows up for church with a black eye and no shoes, Nicole's parents conclude they think that he is a thug and forbid her from seeing him. Andre didn't go to church.
