Wow! You hooked me right out the gate and I was along for the ride.. didn't realize i was hypnotized until it ended. Fantastic style and energy and intuition, you blew the dust off my day with this one. Always thought these were the coolest of the Volca bunch, but this! gives it a whole new meaning of possibilities. Thanks for the amazement ... i gotta go watch that again
Thank you so much for compliments and sincere reaction on this one! I am amazed with such response and poetic portrayal of your music experience! So glad I can evoke these feelings and make Vibe you described! Joy is yours and all the very best!
Heavy! I have four Volcas myself. beats, keys, bass and sample2. With the right samples, the sample is clearly in front of the beat. An Electribe EX-1 light :) Great work!🤩
Great stuff man, haven't heard much this hard come out of the sample. I have to ask, how are you getting the bassline change? Do you have two basslines on channels 9 and 10 (choke channels) and using the second one to choke the first? It looks/sounds like the bassline changes when you unmute 10. I must know how this foul necromancy is done!
Thanks man! Yeah, you figure it out right from what you could see and hear! 10 bass line choke 9 which is continuous flat bass programmed with amp level to sidechain and starts at 3rd bar, so 10 will not choke it when its muted. Hope this clarify that trickery! :-)
@@G1SUNPLANT Nice. Creative use of the choke too, I think most people would use it for drums instead, using it to vary the bassline is clever. Just goes to show what this machine is capable of when you use a little creativity.
I didn’t realize there were 2 versions of the sample and accidentally bought the first one. I’m hoping it’s still a good investment, only paid $80 I think
Awesome jam! Also, if you can help me, i'm going to invest on the old minilogue and a volca sample, bass and modulator, but since i'm entering now on this world of synths, I would be glad if you can help me figure out the correct order and how I should plug them to the audio interface. Thanks for your time and congrats for the beat ;)
Hey thanks for compliments Thiago! If you are planing to use all those instruments in your jams you should consider getting small mixer with at least 6 channels to plug those in and to have audio out for your headphones and audio interface. Hope this answer your question! Cheers!
@@G1SUNPLANT thanks for the reply! yeah it did help a lot, a mixer would actually be very helpful ;) in that case, even if they are connected on individual channels would they still communicate with each other? regarding tempo and stuff like that and the last question is about your samples, damn those are great sounds! i wonder where you got them and if there are a place to find good ones... i pretend to use the volca sample mainly as a drum machine to play dark wave, industrial/heavy techno, ambience music and even some post-punk accompanied with my guitar and bass (edit) oh, and also if you think the v2 is worth the money or should i just get the sample v1

Hey, thanks for stopping by! Try to plug your phones out in to computer line in or phone and use some recording software like Audacity to record! You can use any 3.5mm splitter so you can plug your phones too!

I loved my last Volca: Sample. I need to get a new one. I just keep hoping they’ll make a desktop workstation out of it. Sd card for memory, NTS style X/Y W/ effects. I’m sold.
@@JeffBaglot Thats my dream too! Big Volca sample with quality build to last and made for live gigs! If ever I take a road to a West Coast I will let you know! All the best and have a great weekend!

10/10 for flow. Outstanding part mixing.

That Melody , is it a sample Or a Function oh the Sampler ?? And when waht sample pack is it i buy it 👋🏻
Thanks, that is a big compliment!
Melody is written on Volca and I didn't use sample pack.
Just few of my old samples.
It's amazing you only used the Volca Sample in this jam. Well done! 👏👍🎉

Both of them are great! When I bought mine second version still wasn't released.
A good investment indeed, because it's possible to update mk1 to Pajen firmware which drastically improves the functionality, check it out
Still great. Just easier to get samples into the updated one
The second is easier to get samples on with the usb, but the first can use the pajen firmware and can play samples chromaticslly over midi
