I want to say to Hersh's parents, I am very happy your son is alive. Every American, if they were following the evil on Oct 7, saw that devastating video of them pushing Hersh and others onto the truck. We were all horrified. We prayed so very hard for each kid at the festival. Being from South Carolina, I worried for all American hostages even more because the evil ones call us the great satan. Against all expectations, the miracle of Harsh has appeared. This gives us hope for all of the others as we heard only last week there were no hostage survivors. It is bitter sweet but we are so grateful Hersh is alive. We can see he has been through so much and we are praying all of the hostages come home. My son just turned 24. I cannot imagine what you are going through. My family wishes you strength, peace, comfort and so very much love. God bless you and your family. America is with you strongly.

I totally understand how these people feel just wanting their loved ones back, but that, at best, will be a mixed bag... those people have been through unimaginable trauma and terror for 200 days str8, coming home will be its own struggle on top of all the flashbacks and PTSD... such a hard, unenviable situation.

The boy is either fine and treated humanely or dead because the IDF apparently continues to bomb indiscriminately in Gaza. This is why the parents are concerned. They understand that Israel has a policy of allowing captured citizens to perish under indirect attacks (missiles, air strikes) because the soldiers simply are not equipped to handle hostage rescue operations. Israeli intelligence also knows that hostages get moved and at some point, decided that it was too much work to do detective work and special operations to retrieve them.
