So, I have a friend named Sophia. She is my best friend. We met a year ago, at dance class. The first day I saw her I knew we were gonna be best friends. So, our dance recital was coming up: June 24, 2018. I was so excited! After the show ended I became really depressed because I won’t see Sophia for 3 months until the new dance year starts. We made a promise: To stay in the same dance class. The first day of dance I was so impatient to see her walk through that door, and run and hug her. But no, she didn’t come. I texted her and she told me that she wasn’t coming...she had different classes on the weekdays (my class was on Saturday) My heart just broke.. I wouldn’t be able to see her anymore. I had an internet best friend. I don’t want to say her real name so I’ll just call her Olivia. Me and Olivia has internet been friends for 3 years! In early April 2018, it turns out we were going to be meeting each other! I was freaking out because she is so sweet. We called and FaceTimes every day and played games like Minecraft, Roblox, and more. When we were finding out we were meeting, it turns out Olivia had cancer. I was very sad and I cried very hard. She was recovering well for the first couple of months but then she starting feeling weak and dying. I’d pray for her every day and every night. But then she died. Her cancer type was leukemia. I’m very sad and I worship her. Before she died, she gave me a bracelet saying “I love you!” and I wear it to this day on my wrist. I didn’t get to see her since I had exams to do. I came to her funeral and I started balling. That’s my story. Back in January of this year, my irl friend was on a livestream. She heard about the live streamers discord server, which convinced her to get discord on her laptop. She met 2 amazing people and convinced me to get it as well. I became fond with them and all four of us became really good friends and it helped me get closer to my best friend. Now almost 7 months later, all 3 of them feel like family to me. They understood me and helped whenever my parents wouldn’t. They cared about me so, so much more than most of my irl friends ever did. I’m so grateful they entered my life because they are one of my only reasons I want to live. I just found this song and it caught me by surprise how accurate and good it was, and had me in tears by the line "thousands of dollars just to be near." I've been dating this guy for a year and a half and I've never met him in person. Video calls get us by, but it's so hard. I'm in Ohio and he's in Sweden, a 4,801 mile distance. I'm 17 and he's 16. I want to visit him this summer, but because of the coronavirus I'm out of work right now. I don't know if I'll have enough to visit him. My parents won't let me spend the night at his home, so I have to pay for a hotel on top of food and a plane ticket. I never stop thinking of the day I'll be able to just hug him. If I can't visit him this summer, I'll have to wait another two years because of school and boot camp for joining the military. I just am desperately clinging to hope that I can catch up on the money I've missed out on making by picking up extra hours when I can start working again, hopefully in June, and visit him in July... So, I have a friend named Sophia. She is my best friend. We met a year ago, at dance class. The first day I saw her I knew we were gonna be best friends. So, our dance recital was coming up: June 24, 2018. I was so excited! After the show ended I became really depressed because I won’t see Sophia for 3 months until the new dance year starts. We made a promise: To stay in the same dance class. The first day of dance I was so impatient to see her walk through that door, and run and hug her. But no, she didn’t come. I texted her and she told me that she wasn’t coming...she had different classes on the weekdays (my class was on Saturday) My heart just broke.. I wouldn’t be able to see her anymore. I cried for days.

I had an internet best friend. I don’t want to say her real name so I’ll just call her Olivia. Me and Olivia has internet been friends for 3 years! In early April 2018, it turns out we were going to be meeting each other! I was freaking out because she is so sweet. We called and FaceTimes every day and played games like Minecraft, Roblox, and more. When we were finding out we were meeting, it turns out Olivia had cancer. I was very sad and I cried very hard. She was recovering well for the first couple of months but then she starting feeling weak and dying. I’d pray for her every day and every night. But then she died. Her cancer type was leukemia. I’m very sad and I worship her. Before she died, she gave me a bracelet saying “I love you!” and I wear it to this day on my wrist. I didn’t get to see her since I had exams to do. I came to her funeral and I started balling. That’s my story. I love you so much Olivia, I just wish we could have spend more time together because I miss you. 😭❤️

Back in January of this year, my irl friend was on a livestream. She heard about the live streamers discord server, which convinced her to get discord on her laptop. She met 2 amazing people and convinced me to get it as well. I became fond with them and all four of us became really good friends and it helped me get closer to my best friend. Now almost 7 months later, all 3 of them feel like family to me. They understood me and helped whenever my parents wouldn’t. They cared about me so, so much more than most of my irl friends ever did. I’m so grateful they entered my life because they are one of my only reasons I want to live. Ever since I had access to the internet or any online game, my parents always told me to NEVER talk to or message strangers online, and I’m so happy I didn’t listen to them because I got a family out of it. I hope one day I can meet them, it would literally complete me. 💕

I just found this song and it caught me by surprise how accurate and good it was, and had me in tears by the line "thousands of dollars just to be near."
I've been dating this guy for a year and a half and I've never met him in person. Video calls get us by, but it's so hard. I'm in Ohio and he's in Sweden, a 4,801 mile distance. I'm 17 and he's 16. I want to visit him this summer, but because of the coronavirus I'm out of work right now. I don't know if I'll have enough to visit him. My parents won't let me spend the night at his home, so I have to pay for a hotel on top of food and a plane ticket. I never stop thinking of the day I'll be able to just hug him. If I can't visit him this summer, I'll have to wait another two years because of school and boot camp for joining the military. I just am desperately clinging to hope that I can catch up on the money I've missed out on making by picking up extra hours when I can start working again, hopefully in June, and visit him in July... It feels like no one understands.
