So, not to be a major downer because I am honestly a huge Brandy fan, but when you sync this up with the final televised performance at the BET awards it's the same vocal :/ I suspected it was a track when I first watched and finding the rehearsal footage confirmed it. Still an AMAZING vocal, no matter if it was pre-rec, from an astonishing vocalist. And she sells it.
+David Levitz it's a...rehearsal. so she's gonna do the same runs she diligently practiced. just the pure fact we hear feedback from the microphone proves that it's live.
+David Levitz 2:02-2:10 is slighty different between the two..also at 3:25. There are more slight differences, but that is the one I'm giving you. Also, as iloverette mentioned, there is feedback in the mic...such as at 3:31-3:35
+Jakobi Jaiye the two first time stamps are identical pitches and rhythms to the televised version, the "feedback" could easily be the camera's poor audio. I am a huge Brandy fan, I think she's one of the most prolific and sadly underrated voices in the industry. This is an obvious track.
The rehearsal and the actual performance aren't the same, it's rehearsal, so things will be.. Listen at 2:27 and go to the actual performance (which isn't the same time but you'll hear where it is) she sings "I really need you" the "you" isn't the same.
