This is great stuff. I do have a question, how come the restored pods didn't have their Age status reset? Or am I reading too much into it ?

Why did you change the etcd.yaml manually if you already did the restore command, should it change automatically?

Are you not suppose to stop the etcd or kubelet process first ?
