- Disney Marvel have once again come out with some bad news, as it's being reported now that Disney Marvel are planning an MCU reboot with Deadpool 3, and that it will be used to try and save the dying Marvel Cinematic Universe. But that now has resulted in Avengers 5 needing even more rewrites, so the Avengers 5 movie that was once again being planned will now be completely cancelled and remade. Along with those rewrites are two more additions it seems to the Avengers with both of these being Female characters as well. One of them I think has some great potential while the other is a very dumb choice.

No, for the GA...Why would they make movies for fans, KNOWING they'll go watch it no matter what? They need to focus in the GA, and making comics easier to understand in movie form...I.E The early marvel films, but at that point theres no point in watching the reboot anyways

Not just Blackrock, DEI and ESG doctrine is ruining Hollywood, because the stupid writer's guild of america has now been infiltrated by all these nutty wokesters, bullying and forcing writers to sign up for and follow all the ESG/DEI woke rules.
this is not going to change until people across the board just start rejecting the crap Hollywood is putting out; and the problem here is that most people, most young audiences are not even aware of what DEI and ESG even is. Many havn't even heard of the big Blackrock and Vanguard investors.

The females aren't the problem, its the writing. Even the male driven stories have been dogwater outside of Spiderman (movies) and Loki (series). We really need to stop blaming everything on "woke". A lack of understanding the source material of these characters and their stories are the problem. I will admit there are clear moments when they substitute good character development for straight up pandering but it doesn't happen nearly as much as those who push that narrative think. Every story is rushed, characters are underdeveloped, dialogue feels like its Ai generated the list goes on. There is a ball pits worth of reasons why the MCU is trash but its certainly not just women.@@yuopimanui4978

But a reboot doesn't necessarily mean that Disney can fix things. From other movie projects from Disney that are currently in production, we can assume that Disney needs more than just a reboot.
If they keep on doubling down on DEI and race and gender swapping NOTHING will change. Boring.
Who even wants a reboot? The original movies are fairly well made and haven't aged much in terms of everyday technology on the screen. I for one am not interested to watch something like a new Ironman origin story.

In the comics Monica R worked because she did a major apprenticeship under the Avengers and eventually became the leader. She was my generation's pov entry character.

Why not bring out characters that only a few people know about and make them front runners in an environment of DEI and identity politics to cater to "modern audiences" that don't buy movie tickets? Multiverse of madness or Loki should have been the reboot. It’s only now after the marvels bad reception that they realize they’re losing too much money to continue. I just hope they don’t ruin the reboot when it comes out. Let Ryan Reynolds and Deadpool lead the way in the reboot. Ryan knows what he’s doing and he knows what moviegoers want to see.
They don't need to 'reboot' the content of the MCU ... they need to reboot the creators of the MCU.

the soft-reboot already happened by characters dying or leaving for other reasons left-and-right. Phase 4 was the soft-reboot. Dragging back previously died characters is nothing else but abusing this multiverse-crap, making character-death meaningless, what everyone warned you all this time. Marvel has 10,000 characters. Resurrecting one won't solve anything.

I disagree that they could have rebooted earlier. They needed to run it into the ground. If they had rebooted earlier they wouldn't have learned the lessons of the last year or two.

A reboot is quite risky...by starting all over, Disney essentially starting a new franchise, which means that all the people that have been following the MCU thus far are asked if they want to invest their time and money into something completely new that may be based on that failing dredges of something they once loved.
Will Disney really be able to walk back the mistakes they’ve made? Disney has become very woke. They will not want to admit that their woke choices affected the popularity of the Marvel franchise.

The MCU was always doomed to fail. YOU BUILD WORLDS THAT ARE APPROPRIATE FOR ALL AGES. Children are great but movies that they will enjoy will inevitably fail a long running franchises let alone entire universes. Their minds are too simplistic and the story lines could never be complex and dark enough to keep adults interested over time. Some of the movies can be family movies but others would very much have to be MA. It seems like they have been trying to have their cake and eat it too.
I disagree. I think it is possible to make something for all ages, it just takes more work and skill.

I see what you are saying, and indeed a darker tone would not work well for younger audiences, but simply reaching all ages is, itself, possible. Thor Love and Thunder was bad because it was too extreme in trying to be comedic that it essentially became a parody of itself.

The Marvels is now a universe where space cats can swallow entire crowds, magic powers can be delivered through the mail, and bizarro Kanes can pop up to fight spiderman. Well not spiderman because Sony wouldn't allow it, but still.

DOA, lol. Hate for the MCU Captain Marvel hate hasn't died down fans just don't care and have left the franchise for the most part. This was evident in the Marvels box office. Marvel missed the opportunity to build any character in the MCU with anyone carrying Mar-Vell's legacy because they never used him. So few will care about this movie or line up. Fiege just needs to call it the Marvel's Angels movie write himself in as Charlie and call it a day. Fans are gone now.

As other people have noted, the “MCU” began with Iron Man, so it’s only fitting that it ended with him.

Rebooting the MCU won't make a blind bit of difference if they still have the same ideologues calling the shots and writing the scripts.

I don’t agree with thinking stature has potential when her own father wasn’t a leading avenger. Monica and stature are both supporting characters in their appearances with no stand out moments. Falcon was with Steve for 3 films and still wasn’t an Avenger, he was Capt. America’s partner.
They need to get off the current MCU and focus on making a perfect Fantastic 4, Spider Gwen, Miles Morales, Gwenpool, Spidey 4 and 5, and launch Xmen RIGHT. Then when the Daredevil Netflix relaunch is working, redo She Hulk right after the HULK Thunderbolts and make sure she hulk has a good cameo(appearance in there)... and consider using Storm as the new front face of Xmen, and look at the Naze/Smith darker period in Xmen.

I know one thing, if they absolutely NEED to keep Captain Marvel, Wanda(Scarlet Witch), and echo in the future of the MCU. They need to be established as villains and need to be treated as such. There's no reason at this point to call them heros when they show every trait of a villain.
Monica Ramble could be A Grade but they need an A Grade origins for her.
Having B grade C grade D grade characters as Avengers is a big problem, all the more reason for a soft reboot so they can bring back A grade characters like Iron Man. Secret Wars seems to be the best way to do this. A new universe formed from fragments of universes that were destroyed
Ironman back in the day wasn’t A list the mcu really brought him to the forefront
But he was always part of the Avengers in the comics. The MCU is now changing this. They want characters like Iron Heart, She Hulk Kate Bishop to be on the same "level" as the traditional Avengers

The MCU should have "Ended" after Endgame & Spider-Man: Far From Home.
The Monica Rambeau and the Cassie Lang characters have an actual stench attached to them...due to the extreme poor choices they already made in writing. Its a bad idea to start off with negative on a reboot. I definitely do attack the Cassie Lang character after that antman 3 portrayal. I actually dislike that character even more than the Rambeau character...but both are turds. The Rambeau character is just more cringe and the Lang character is more disrepectful. Take that with the high probability that they are trying to use those characters as "feet in the door"...to trojan horse characters we dislike even more back in. You don't reintroduce a cannibal back into the community for any reason...after any length of time. The fact that they are trying to do that speaks volumes as to their intentions with this "reboot".

I am invested in only watching one more movie, which is Deadpool 3. I have no further want to watch anything else this tortured and bad any longer. It's already been said, they have driven away most of us that have been invested for a lifetime in comics and the rise of the movies to the point that I truly don't give a F. They also aren't attracting their diverse new audience that only wants to see changes and not the actual movie. Also, why would they waste their time on sub par storytelling when there is better original material being made elsewhere. I truly want to see this current MCU and Star Wars burn to the ground so maybe one day, it can return fresh, new and wanted once again.
Same, the next Tom Holland Spider-Man movie as well, and Blade because I have faith that Mahershala Ali will be just as good of a Blade as Wesley Snipes if not BETTER…bro voiced Uncle Aaron/The Prowler in Spider-Verse ffs!

Captain Marvel is a male named Mar-vell(not that imposter known as Carol Danvers).
I think at this point you just need to fire everyone, not just the writers/activists, but also producers, directors, management, everybody. And start fresh with people who dont hate the characters.
