The Zues is a decent ship in my opinion - but I'll be keeping my Connie Taurus. It suits me better. The Zues is difficult to load, same as the C1 - cargo doors are just to small to load easily and the tractor beam is a nightmare to use.
With the ES I was expecting fancier crew quarters, for the loss of cargo space and tractor beam from the CL, you get a couch/sofa and an extra kitchen counter
I really wanted to switch to a Zeus but they both turned out to be a bit meh. I love the looks. I love the interior, I love the ladder and airlock but the CL is basically a 64scu ship that allows you to squeeze small crates around the main load as long as you have a lot of time and patience. Even then, putting 128scu in is very impractical and needs the patience of a saint 😅 The ES just does not have a purpose and is bettered by the Cutlass on everything except smooth looks. The only ship I might melt in order to get an ES is the 400i because it is another Explorer that is all style and little substance.
I hope they touch up the cutlass and c1 instead, but honestly I dont doubt them nerfing the zues. or maybe the zeus is just more expensive then the alternatives.
Unlikely as they are very close to the alternative ships and probably more expensive. For the record Freelancer MAX finally has a real competitor. And the ES vs DUR. I don't think they will be nerfed as I think people are comparing them to the wrong ships.
The only reason i want to switch from c1 to zeus is the tractor beam, c1 tractor is bad and cant see its cargo bay. Whats keeping me from switching is the handling of the zeus, its dead slow and will fail against any fighter.
For my playstyle Cutty is still a King of medium daily drivers. Aside of freelancer (trash) C1, Zeus CL and Cutty Black are well balance, and everyone will find something good.
Zeus is not a daily driver. You got many things wrong, I'm sorry. Both of the available Zeus models are specialized ships of low tier, meaning they are entry or mid level career ships. The ES for exploration, the CL for hauling. The ES has no real gameplay in game right now, so there's no point in using it. The CL is a direct competitor to the Freelancer MAX - But only on the hauling gameplay. CL has 8 more SCU but can't fit a functional URSA and has much less firepower and shields. The Zeus has terrible maneuverability for a ship of its size and will lose miserably in combat against players of the same skill that are using anything better than a Vulture or a Prospector. Do not expect to be able to fight. Zeus is a good upgrade for: - Freelancer: if you focus on hauling. - C1: if you ONLY use it for hauling. Zeus is a terrible upgrade for: - Any ship that doesn't fit its ship class and role (Connie, fighters, etc) - Cutlass: if you want more cargo space just buy a cargo ship in game, the Cutlass is so much better than the Zeus at everything else. - C1: as a daily driver or versatile option. - Freelancer MAX: don't give up on firepower, being able to carry an URSA and mobility just for 8 SCU... Yes, the Zeus is the best ship right now when it comes to ship usability and features. Just wait for a gold pass on your ship, don't be a fool and regret it.
Saying the Zeus competes against the Cutless-Black, C-1, or Freelancer base is like saying the Freelancer base competes with the Freelancer Max. Just sayin, while they all have similar hardpoints, and even a $50 price range give or take, nobody would put the base Freelancer against the Max. Just like we wouldn't put the CL against the Taurus. It's not just you, many are blending these ship brackets together as one. 48, 64, 66, 96, 120, and 128. I put the C-1 and Freelancer base with the Cutless-Black and Raft. The CL goes against the Max imho.
for free? Or to TRY - that's not for free... I can't stand the lack of headroom in the cockpit. Everything else is ok, but not for me. few windows. Im a luxury buyer for reasons.
idk why people compare the zeus with the C1 or cutty black, its clearly not the same, zeus is multicrew at least 2 minimum, cutty black and C1 are design to be solo. the copilot is useless in both ship. and the turret in the cutty is size 2 so its useless
Ehm what you're talkin about? Min Crew for the CL is 1 xD Its even stated in the Brochure AND on the Page of the ship. And of course they are more than just comparable. C1 has also a Copilot seat. As well as the Cutty, so what? Just because the Zeus has an OPTIONAL third seat its not comparible anymore? xD Zeus is kinda the same size as the C1 is, even a bit smaller. So ofc you can compare the ZEUS to the C1 xD
the cutty and freelancer both have duel s3 gun turrets, they are litterally comparable. idk why you're saying the zeus isn't soloable, thats the point of it. the class of ship can be solo or 2-3 players as well. small crew or solo. its the same thing, even the devs said they wanted most manufacturers to have a ship in that class, this is rsi's
@@ethanloveland504i do agree that they're comparable. And i will be honest. I see reasons to like all four ships between zeus, freelancer, cutty, and C1. Coincidentally, they are also listed there in my order of preference
I like sitting on top of missiles which is why I love the Zues.
CIG: " It looks like Elite still has some players. Maybe we should make a Python for them. "

The + of the ES is the Radar component, not the rooms. It's an exploration ship, not a touring one.
Cutty black + Pirate skin > all
by nu sheep, old sheep bad ... coming shoon

Melting my CCU Perseus to get these
ES has more shields, fuel and accommodation over the CL. The CL has more cargo space. That's the difference.
Untill nerfed.
Bet they won't be :) partly because I bet you don't know why they would get nerfed.
Zeus nerfs coming december 14th just a heads up
I hope they touch up the cutlass and c1 instead, but honestly I dont doubt them nerfing the zues. or maybe the zeus is just more expensive then the alternatives.

define nerf and if they are planning a nerf why not do it now instead of waiting until after the sale ?
the Zeus isn´t superior in anything, unlike the Corsair for example, so i don´t see the need to nerf it.
@weisthor0815 they make any changes to cost for it? Zues almost lost to a vulture don't think it could get any lower for combat

i crushed the zues cl i will be keeping my C1
Most worthless comment but love the salt. I need to flavour more steak.
