As someone who plays out of Society Billiards, I can attest to the fact that Rollie has been working on the drill he learned from Ralph Eckert in the previous video. Every so often you see a faint outline of a square left in the center of the table as a sort of "Rollie was here" calling card.

The thing that stands out to me is that you follow through the cue ball a good 12" where as AO barely follows through at all. Either way it's a cracking shot and you did well to replicate it at all; I doubt many others, even pros, would do the same in many less shots than yourself. Hats' off sir.
It is Somonis cloth. But agreed, newer cloth is COMPLETELY different than older cloth. Even 3 months makes a difference. Also, if the balls are dirty or old that will affect a lot as well.
I've seen every video. The final cut reel has great explanations as to what works and what doesn't. What's even more impressive, is that you are able to adjust when making all your attempts in real time at the table and remembering what you needed to do differently to recreate the shot. Welcome back mate! A couple of comments I wanted to share: 1) Being an average player myself, this shot seems a lot harder than the Efren trick shots, which you just need to get the hang of. Said differently, it can take you another 50 shot to pot the ball here again, while you probably would be able to pull off some of the other shots more consistently. 2) I look forward to you crushing the above average players in the tournament, would be sick if you can pull off some of the shots you trained :D 3) I'm sure you have fun with Florian and the rest (who is a really nice dude btw, I've talked to him briefly) but this series is the one which created your hype and the one we like (e.g., only here you can make jokes about the casino, baby, etc.). 4) Happy new 2020 year dude! This. I'm sure this is a percentage shot because as long as you don't hit the wrong side of the 2 it's likely that you'll get a position. That's why to me shot #40 is even better than the original shot.

This is the first one of your videos I've seen. I *really* like the concept. I'm not a pool player, but I'm interested in watching Snooker, so I always wonder what the players are actually doing and/or thinking while planning their shots. It's really helpful having you try the same shot repeatedly and describe what's going wrong and right--that's one of the things missing from match commentaries. Thanks muchly!
Another awesome vid! Albin's the man and always has been, thanks for showing him respect. Next time make it easy on yourself Rollie, your one-ball is too far to the left and too far up table. I know I'm splitting hairs but it looks like at least half to three quarter's of an inch difference both ways. Look at 9:35 frame and you'll see it. Not hating on you, in fact you made a much harder shot because you had more of the 3-ball to clear and more angle for the spin to take. AWESOME shot Rollie!!!
Great shooting. Feel like you basically got it on 40 but I would imagine Albin may have played to get on the 2 to bottom left like you did multiple times before that. Reckon you got his intention on shot 15. Great shot to watch and well done!

I think the pro player's shot was luck or a fluke. He was hoping to come back down table but the cue ball hit the point which rebounded it back to the side rail which pushed it into the two ball. 52 tries to mimic a fluke shot. That shows your dedication to the craft. I'm just happy to do a full table draw shot.
DoubleDownHustler have you actually been able to shoot with one prior to your order? If so how do you find it? If not I’d love to hear how it is once you get it. I’m considering the purchase myself but know of no one who has this shaft.
Hey rollie...I was watching a video of "the best shots of the decade" or something, and saw earl strickland make a jump shot from corner to corner (top to bottom, opposite sides). The real difficulty is how he had so much back spin on the cue ball that it draws full table right back to where it started. Maybe give the shot a try for your next video?
bro I always wanted you to try this one out, so glad you finally did! I still think even about 50 tries is ok on this shot, as it is just straight out of hell impossible shot, cant wait to give it like billion tries and then maybe be make it lol
I think part of the difference between his shot and yours is your bridge technique. He keeps his bridge closer to the tip of the cue giving him more control. When I slow your shots down, there is often quite a bit of play in your follow through, which suggests there's probably variance in your stroke. Watch his stroke: it doesn't wobble on the follow through at all, it's under 100% control at all times which gives him 100% precision. If you can perfect that one thing, I think you will get much more consistent and reproducible shots. I love watching this series, please keep them coming, Rollie!
Hey Rollie there is a shot made by Shane van Boening in the 2014 world cup of pool. He partnered Earl strickland against England. The shot I want you to recreate is hit power shot into the bottom corner and run 4 rails around, with top english, for position at the head rail for the next shot. Please do this. Also do an everyday carry with your cues and case, I'd love to know what cues you have.
What would be pretty cool to add when you make these videos, is a diagram of a cueball and where you hit the cue ball showing how much spin you put on the shot. Thanks!
You made that shot happen more than once... Think of it this... Not even Albin would have been able to hit it exactly like he did every time. The fact that you got the ball there and had a shot is what matters. Keep shooting man, well done.
Hard to tell from the angle, but I think Albin is bridging higher off the rail with a closed bridge, rather than right off the cushion. That will help with getting the top spin. On many of your shots you were hitting too low; I think it was because of the bridge.
i know it’s a snooker shot, but a lot of guys there play a shot where they’re straight on a ball into the middle and screw back and use the aw of the middle plocket to come back up table. would love to see that!
There is definitely some amazing gifts and skill in the pool universe. Really enjoy your vids and your persistemce. I think you have some natural ability that would be more evident if you spent 8-10 hours a day on the table like the pros do.
The newness of the simonis cloth makes a huge difference. It is a 3 cushion billiard shot. Also, were the tables in the tournament heated? If so that would make it easier (ha, I know not an easy shot anyway). Great video though
Remember those TV tables have new cloth and are under lights so no moisture on the table that makes it super slick that's why his ball slides so easily and he used way less effort and still got more action than you but you did well... That go cue thing of beauty but expensive have seen great reviews about it
You also have to keep in mind that with most of these pro tournaments, the tables have new felt so English takes more than usual, the table is faster and the cue ball slides a lot.

I think shot depends on lots of things like: your cues, cue tip, cloth table, balls, humid cloth and of coz your pool skill but can not forget a lucky also. Obviously Albin is great pool player. But i like Mika Immonen’s play style. He had a lot of trick shot too. P/s: Lot of respect for your trying :)

It’s honestly just cool seeing your progress from video to video on how much better you’re getting with your shots.
I reckon 40 was probably okay, as even a player like Ouschan was probably going for either/or rather than that specific contact on the 2.

Shot 14 leaves a very easy bank shot that would give natural position on the 3.

I would take position you managed on shot 41 any day of the week and twice on Sunday! Probably what Albin was looking for as well.
